VERSION 1.5 IS HERE! Welcome to the biggest update since the release of Sonuby last year. Since mid-April until the end of this year I have temporarily stopped my freelance work to work full-time on the development of Sonuby. This update marks the beginning of a series of updates I'll be releasing in the coming months and lays the foundation for many new features and the long-term vision I have for Sonuby. A BRAND NEW DESIGN The biggest change in this update is a completely new design. With the new design, Sonuby not only looks much nicer, but is also easier to use. I would like to briefly explain what I put special emphasis on. 1. Focus on the essentials The heart of a weather app is the forecast. The new design puts the forecast even more in the center by having only two tabs, one for the weather report and one for maps. This means that the maps are quicker to access and do not need to be opened manually. Less relevant elements have been moved to locations that are still easily accessible but take up less space. 2. Improved navigation Great applications are clear and easy to use. The new design builds on familiar app navigation concepts such as the back-swipe gesture. 3. Improved readability Sonuby's previous design was very simple, the colors were rather subtle and not very accentuated. This sometimes made the text and forecasts difficult to read. The new design has much stronger color accents, especially in light mode. The colors are more intense, making the predictions much easier to read. 4. App-wide location management Managing a location (adding, moving, or removing it from a location collection) was previously only possible from the location collection section. Now this is also possible from within the forecast and maps sections. 5. Significant performance improvement With the new design, the application has been rebuilt from the ground up. Using the latest technologies and best practices, the overall speed has been significantly improved. FILTER + CONFIGURE FORECASTS This update allows you to customize the existing forecasts of a weather report. To do so, click the settings button in the top right corner above the weather forecast. There you will find the following options: 1. Filter forecasts Sonuby now offers two preset filters, "Short-term forecasts only" and "Weekly forecasts only" , which reduce the weather report to the corresponding forecasts. 2. Custom filter configuration If the filters are not enough, you can create a custom filter. You can disable individual forecasts and change the order of forecasts. NEW MAPS Not only did maps get their own tab, but I also added some new ones that you can use now: 1. Satellite 2. Sunshine Hours 3. Wind Gusts 4. Relative Humidity 5. Precipitation Probability MORE IN THIS VERSION - Improved readability of mixed showers and mixed snow showers pictogram - Last visited locations can now be deleted - Precipitation less than 1mm is now shown as such

This version introduces the new, highly informative and compact Live Overview with the following highlights: LOTS OF INFORMATION IN A SMALL SPACE Live Overview offers you a lot of information in a small space. You can quickly scan the day or the next few hours and see all the forecasts that are important to you at a glance. Beautiful, subtle animations also show you the current situation for the selected location. REAL-TIME DATA Finally here. The new Live Overview gives you high resolution (5 minute intervals) short term forecasts for precipitation and clouds. DAILY AND WEEKLY OVERVIEWS Live Overview lets you dive deep into specific forecasts. It is fully interactive and allows you to open daily and weekly overviews for the corresponding forecast variables. FULLY CONFIGURABLE Live Overview is fully configurable. Want to see the wind first? No problem, just put the wind first and you're done. In addition to configuring the view, other forecasts can also be enabled, such as the dew point in the temperature forecast. OPTIMIZED FOR TABLETS Live Overview is optimized for larger screens like tablets, using the extra space to display even more forecasts.

14-DAY FORECASTS, A SNOW SPORTS REPORT & MUCH MORE! Welcome to Sonuby 1.7 which comes with many new and long awaited features and forecasts. 14-DAY OVERVIEW & FORECASTS This version includes a brand-new tabular 14-day overview that offers 14-day forecasts for the first time. Like the Live Overview forecast, it is fully customizable and offers many new forecast variables compared to the old 7-day forecast. The new vertical layout provides a much better overview of the most important forecasts. You can now tap on any variable and day to instantly see detailed daily forecast. You can also tap on the day to see the daily overview that you already know from Live Overview. 14-day forecasts are also available in the Live Overview. SNOW REPORT With the first snowfall in the Northern Hemisphere, you can now plan your next ski trip, backcountry tour or snowshoe hike with the new Snow Sports Report. The Snow Sports Report gives you convenient forecasts for snow depth, fresh snow and snowmelt for any location in the world, including off-piste areas. MORE FORECASTS AT A GLANCE & NEW NAVIGATION My goal for this release was to better meet the needs of professional users and use the available screen space for more information. The most visually striking change in this release is the adjusted user interface. On the right hand side there is now a context menu that fills up with new buttons depending on whether you are in the forecast or weather map area. This has several advantages: 1. It eliminates the space wasted by the tab bar at the bottom and the Full Report and List View tabs at the top of the forecast view, allowing you to see more forecasts. 2. It is now easier to use Sonuby with one hand because all important controls are now available in the context menu. There is a left and right-handed mode and you can also hide the context menu to see more forecasts. NEW LANDSCAPE VIEW Thanks to the new context menu, I finally took the time to improve the landscape view of Sonuby. Not only do you see more forecasts, but you also have a separate, more space-efficient layout. LOTS OF SMALLER IMPROVEMENTS Besides the major features of this version, I also made many smaller adjustments and improvements, including - In the daily overviews, the current day is now fixed at the top and there are floating buttons to switch between days more quickly - Isobars are now displayed more reliably in the maps - The precipitation probability in the precipitation diagram can be turned off - Lots of smaller layout and bug fixes

CONFIGURABLE WIDGETS ARE HERE! With the latest update, Sonuby finally offers widgets. And not just any widgets! NOW & NEXT HOURS WIDGET Based on the Live Overview in the app, this widget provides short-term forecasts for the next hours at your selected location. Depending on the selected Report, you'll see different variables. As a subscriber, you can also freely arrange or hide forecasts within the app. Tapping the widget opens a specially designed Live Overview in the app that shows you additional days and forecasts for the widget location alongside the forecasts already displayed in the widget. So you can use the app exclusively with the widgets and quickly find all the information relevant to you. NEXT DAYS WIDGET As the name suggests, this widget provides daily forecasts for up to 6 days on iPhone and 12 days on iPad. Depending on the selected Report, you'll see different variables. As a subscriber, you can also freely arrange or hide forecasts within the app. Tapping a day in the widget opens the day view for the tapped location in the app. So you can use the app exclusively with the widgets and quickly find all the information relevant to you. WIDGET CONFIGURATION Although the widgets can already be precisely configured for your use case by selecting different Reports, as a subscriber you can go one step further with the new widget configuration and move or hide forecasts within a widget. This means nothing stands in the way of your personal forecast dashboard directly on your home screen!
