1. 3/5Weird search problems

   I love being able to use this app to order from cub. I’ve been using it for years since the beginning of the pandemic. I am so confused about why I search for certain items and it brings up completely different things. I search bananas and regular bananas from produce are nowhere to be found. I search for bell peppers and the only remotely related item was frozen bell peppers with onions. No fresh bell peppers to be found. I just tried looking for fish sticks and got a lot of tartar sauce and mozzarella sticks, pretzel sticks, etc. I just feel like this search engine really needs some help. I also have to add that this isn’t a consistent issue. I ordered bananas last week just fine…..I love cub and hope they’ll figure this technical issue out!

2. 1/5I abhor the new app

   Not user friendly at all. You can no longer choose a store when you order for delivery (looks like you can set a different store in settings), leave a message for the picker when you place an order, choose a delivery time, etc. If they can’t deliver your order that day, they set you up for delivery the next morning. If you work, unless you know what store they chose for you so you can call and hopefully reschedule for a time that works for you, cancel your order if it has perishables. I’m off work today so it worked for me this time except having to keep checking to see what specific time it would be - so much for sleeping in. At least when they rescheduled me they kept the pricing that expired yesterday. If you don’t have app notifications turned on or miss the notification somehow you have to go into the app to find out any updates. Communication with the picker is through the app, delivery map is through the app (I didn’t see any way to open it outside the app). I ended up with those big white bags which I hate because they cut into my hands. They also delivered from the store that never has my pop in stock when I order.

3. 3/5Gets The Job Done

   This app gets the job done, but it’s very confusing to use. I’m still not completely sure how I figured out how to switch between adding items to a shopping list and adding things to a shopping cart, but I like that you can make different custom grocery lists at once and save them with different names (unlike the Target app). The checkout and pay system is extremely confusing and usually takes a few tries before it works correctly. I also wish that all search results would show when I use the search feature to find items instead of only showing the first few search results and making you click a button to view more search results every time.

4. 2/5horrible UI

   I prefer to shop at cub foods, but don’t always have a lot of time so I like to do a pick up order. However, this app has made me reconsider that time and time again. The user interface is borderline unusable; they recently made some changes to the app but now it has new, different issues within the app. For example, the scrolling freezes, adding items or changing tabs lags, the coupon tab doesn’t show any, or sometimes clipping coupons makes the whole screen dim and it can’t be fixed unless you close out and restart the app. It is also really frustrating that there are no similar items suggested when you click on something, so I can’t compare pricing or sizing, or anything of the sort. The app really really needs some major improvements.

5. 3/5Mixed reactions

   I used the refreshed app for the first time today, and I have mixed reactions. I like the cleaner look, but I miss key features from the previous version. For example, there is no longer easy access to the Favorites list, nor do items indicate they have been favorited when browsing. It’s also pretty hard to find my rewards points, it’s buried pretty deep under profile. There also seems to be a bug when trying to make an item a favorite. It gives an error message. It also won’t completely load my Favorites list. It’s a good effort, worthy of 3 stars, but hopefully future updates can address some of these shortcomings.
