   The app on the phone is almost worthless. On the Tv it’s mediocre at best. Constantly cutting off what I’m watching due to some sort of error and gives me a retry button. The fast forward option is only 10 second increments…. So when it boots you out of a horse show you’re 2 hours deep in you better hope your thumb is well conditioned. For the longest time there was a glitch on the home page on the tv app where I couldn’t scroll trough or even select a certain category and it took a ridiculous amount of time to fix… actually I’m not even sure it is fixed because I just got mad and avoided that whole section and tried to search instead so maybe it’s still broken…. I could be wrong, but I feel like I’ve watched things live on the cowboy channel and when I go to app to watch it later it’s no where to be found. Priority seems to be uploading primarily rodeo, which I do understand, but I wish more effort was made to upload more NCHA, NRCHA, and NRHA shows. Art of the cowgirl from ‘23 isn’t uploaded, and that I’m aware of, The American Performance horse isn’t either- two very big, fairly new events that are only gaining in popularity… why wouldn’t these be up? If I’m wrong in this statement, I apologize, but then I think this speaks to the ease of use of the app, or rather lack there of, because I have searched multiple times with nothing to show. I don’t pretend to know the complexities of having a station like The cowboy channel or creating an app for said station, and I’m sure people worked hard to get it up and running. That being said the app leaves you underwhelmed and frustrated. My personal opinion is for what I pay per month, I’d expect it to be a little more on par with what other apps offer in terms of availability of content, ease of use, and perhaps more uniformity between the phone app and the TV app. I love The Cowboy Channel and RFD-TV… hate the app.

   I forgot to add This app is amazing and works great except for the NFR. I have currently been watching San Antonio with no problems from the channel but when I was watching the NFR it was pretty bad it would all of a sudden freeze or get really fuzzy then it would work fine again. It might be because of all the people trying to watch live, because I would watch the junior world finals and it would work fine, and I am currently watching San Antonio with no problems so take that into consideration. Also if you watch the NFR replays it works better but it’s not the same. But overall this channel is great not to mention if you watch on your phone you can see the PRCA standings, circuit standings, rookie of the year standings and more. I would still recommend downloading on all your devices!

   If I could give zero stars I would! Or better yet negative stars!! This subscription is the biggest rip off and waste of money ever!! My grandmother loves to watch the rodeos so we subscribed for her . It kicked her out on the first day of the NFR 2023 and has not let her watch since. It always gives an error message. We have called them numerous times and they blame it on our internet coverage and anything else they can come up with to keep us from canceling our subscription. And they never offer any sort of real trouble shooting options. We have updated the app. Deleted the app and reinstalled. Etc. nothing works but you better believe they are taking their money out of our account every month and then had the audacity to just send a message saying we would need to subscribe to continue watching. We have never unsubscribed, NOR ARE WE ABLE TO WATCH!!!! This is totally ridiculous. Do better cowboy channel plus!!! Sincerely, A Highly Unsatisfied Customer

   I live on the east coast so can rarely watch rodeos live. Love being able to watch PRCA rodeos on demand from all over the USA and Canada. Have been happy with app for the most part and improvements they have made. They are now quick to upload performances from the night before which I appreciate! Biggest thing in app that needs fixing is a place holder for whatever you’re watching. Whenever you leave a show for more than a fee minutes, the app goes back to the Home screen. You have to remember what performance you were playing & the time you stopped then fast forward to find your place. This is a real pain!

5. 2/5A Disappointing Experience

   Our TV provider doesn’t carry the Cowboy Channel, so the app seemed to be a good way to watch the Wrangler NFR this year. There are just to many options that make it hard for one to sign up for a $75 way to watch the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo easily. I signed up early. The $75 dollar NFR premium was paid, but on the first day of the NFR I kept getting the message that I needed to pay a $75 premium to watch the Wrangler NFR. After an hour I finally figured it out, but there seemed to be two people talking constantly at the same time. After an additional half hour of hopes that the sound would clear up I closed the app and turned off the program. For the first time in a few years we will not waste our time and any more money watching the National Finals Rodeo.
