5/5Personal CRM for anyone
If you want to build and maintain relationships with the important people in your work and personal life and you need a little help keeping track of it all (and a gentle reminder now and then), then Covve is a great solution. After all, how many times have you caught yourself saying or thinking “how long has it been” when you finally get in touch with someone who’s important to you, whatever the context may be? Before Covve, there were business-oriented CRM solutions (which are overkill for most people and expensive) or spreadsheets (which just aren’t up to the task). Covve is now a critical component of my daily routine, and I’m much more focused and up-to-date when it comes to keeping the relationships in my personal and work life strong. Alex and the team at Covve have been supportive and responsive, and they’re continually improving the app.

5/5Wow where to start
This app makes keeping in touch with who matters most in your life. It's a very well thought out app. It creates reminders to make sure you remember to reach out to that contact. This app isn't just a great business networking app. But can also help with keeping in touch with your personal relationships also. I have tried other similar apps NOTHING even compares to the level of functions. The customer service team is beyond belief. I had a issue and Alex and there team went right to work finding my issue and fixing it. (It was me that was the issue not the app) if you want a professional networking app that can handle anything and also be used for personal relationships this is your app.

3/5Great concept, execution leaves a bit to be desired
I really really want to love this app. it seems to have most of what I am looking for in a contact management app, letting me keep notes and have reminders. even pulling relevant news updates about people for me. absolutely amazing. where it falls short for me tho is the contact syncing itself. I don’t know if it is because I bounce between my iphone and my ipad, or maybe it is just something with the app itself. but every time that the app syncs with my contacts it will create triplicates (or even 4-5 duplicates) of half the contacts. this wouldn’t be such an issue if it weren’t for the fact that it is also wiping nickname/relevant information from the contacts as well. been playing with the free version for a couple months and upgraded to pro recently. that isn’t going to stop me from happily walking away to find something else if I have to completely clean up my 300+ contacts again

3/5Undisclosed Data Breach
Update 18 June (below) As soon as I started to verify my account, Firefox alerted me to a massive data breach at Covve in February 2020. It was verified a month ago, in May 2020. I then searched Covve’s own blog and recent updates for any mention; I found nothing. I can see from developer responses in these reviews that the company is very customer-oriented, which is great. On that basis, I was willing to consider sharing my contacts with them. However, the fact that they have not responded to the breach notification leaves me without confidence. No company can be completely secure. What distinguishes one from another is how they respond when, not if, there is a breach. Update 18 June: The company reached out to me within hours, checking to see if they could help me authorize the app, since I hadn’t finished the process. Within a day of explaining, they moved their report on the breach to the top of their blog. It’s now easy to find. That kind of response time is excellent. However, you won’t see the report unless you know to click, something most users won’t do. Also, while it’s comforting to know that zero Covve passwords were compromised, that’s small comfort because contact data was stolen. Some people probably had to change stored credit card numbers or passwords. Likewise I’m glad that the breach only affected a legacy system and legacy data; the current setup is more secure. But, what about the next time they overhaul? To be fair, this issue is industry wide. Any contact data kept in the cloud is at some risk. And many companies aren’t as forthcoming. So while I love the response from Alex and colleagues, I’m not yet ready to trust my contacts. Not yet.

3/5So much potential — not 5 stars yet
This app has potential to be a 5 star + but right now it’s a 2.5 or 3. Two things you can’t do in the app that are a MUST: [1] When you add a relationship, you can’t say you last talked to them “today”. The options are Never, One day ago, 1 weeks ago, 1 month ago. Weird. Of course you can manually adjust it, but this is cumbersome. Please make “Today” an option. [2] When you view and scroll your reminders (to see which contacts you set the app to remind you about), you cannot easily log activity with them. You should be able to swipe left or swipe right to log activity or at the very least be able to “Log activity” under “Other Actions” when viewing a contact’s reminder. Instead you have to click + to log activity, then type the name of the contact. Yes, seriously. I really liked this app at first, but now think I may have made a mistake purchasing a subscription. So much promise, but truly lacking in practical & efficient user interface. I could see myself spending 30-60 mins daily using it, but it’s so frustrating I’ve gone back to my old system for now. >> Needs upgrades to be 4 or 5 stars

          "body": "If you want to build and maintain relationships with the important people in your work and personal life and you need a little help keeping track of it all (and a gentle reminder now and then), then Covve is a great solution. After all, how many times have you caught yourself saying or thinking “how long has it been” when you finally get in touch with someone who’s important to you, whatever the context may be? Before Covve, there were business-oriented CRM solutions (which are overkill for most people and expensive) or spreadsheets (which just aren’t up to the task). Covve is now a critical component of my daily routine, and I’m much more focused and up-to-date when it comes to keeping the relationships in my personal and work life strong. Alex and the team at Covve have been supportive and responsive, and they’re continually improving the app.",

          "body": "I really really want to love this app. it seems to have most of what I am looking for in a contact management app, letting me keep notes and have reminders. even pulling relevant news updates about people for me. absolutely amazing. where it falls short for me tho is the contact syncing itself. I don’t know if it is because I bounce between my iphone and my ipad, or maybe it is just something with the app itself. but every time that the app syncs with my contacts it will create triplicates (or even 4-5 duplicates) of half the contacts. this wouldn’t be such an issue if it weren’t for the fact that it is also wiping nickname/relevant information from the contacts as well. been playing with the free version for a couple months and upgraded to pro recently. that isn’t going to stop me from happily walking away to find something else if I have to completely clean up my 300+ contacts again",

          "body": "Update 18 June (below) As soon as I started to verify my account, Firefox alerted me to a massive data breach at Covve in February 2020. It was verified a month ago, in May 2020. I then searched Covve’s own blog and recent updates for any mention; I found nothing. I can see from developer responses in these reviews that the company is very customer-oriented, which is great. On that basis, I was willing to consider sharing my contacts with them. However, the fact that they have not responded to the breach notification leaves me without confidence. No company can be completely secure. What distinguishes one from another is how they respond when, not if, there is a breach. Update 18 June: The company reached out to me within hours, checking to see if they could help me authorize the app, since I hadn’t finished the process. Within a day of explaining, they moved their report on the breach to the top of their blog. It’s now easy to find. That kind of response time is excellent. However, you won’t see the report unless you know to click, something most users won’t do. Also, while it’s comforting to know that zero Covve passwords were compromised, that’s small comfort because contact data was stolen. Some people probably had to change stored credit card numbers or passwords. Likewise I’m glad that the breach only affected a legacy system and legacy data; the current setup is more secure. But, what about the next time they overhaul? To be fair, this issue is industry wide. Any contact data kept in the cloud is at some risk. And many companies aren’t as forthcoming. So while I love the response from Alex and colleagues, I’m not yet ready to trust my contacts. Not yet.",

          "body": "This app has potential to be a 5 star + but right now it’s a 2.5 or 3. Two things you can’t do in the app that are a MUST: [1] When you add a relationship, you can’t say you last talked to them “today”. The options are Never, One day ago, 1 weeks ago, 1 month ago. Weird. Of course you can manually adjust it, but this is cumbersome. Please make “Today” an option. [2] When you view and scroll your reminders (to see which contacts you set the app to remind you about), you cannot easily log activity with them. You should be able to swipe left or swipe right to log activity or at the very least be able to “Log activity” under “Other Actions” when viewing a contact’s reminder. Instead you have to click + to log activity, then type the name of the contact. Yes, seriously. I really liked this app at first, but now think I may have made a mistake purchasing a subscription. So much promise, but truly lacking in practical & efficient user interface. I could see myself spending 30-60 mins daily using it, but it’s so frustrating I’ve gone back to my old system for now. >> Needs upgrades to be 4 or 5 stars",
