1/5Sadly this app begs for reviews
Sadly, like many applications, this app interrupted my day to beg for a review… and sadly I must give my standard review for any app that does so: one star. This is an expensive application, and the affirmation of being paid appears to be insufficient its creators. It does its job, and the interruptions are infrequent, but the act of interrupting my day for a review I find completely intolerable. Please eliminate this behavior so that I may raise my review to where it would be otherwise. UPDATE: This app interrupted me not once.. but twice, after I’d indicated “:not now”… this is an inexcusable interruption to the workflow. UPDATE2: The developer responded to turn off review in App Store settings. Interesting thing is that they are *already* off… and this app appears to ignore the setting. My review stands. This app ignores settings, begs for reviews and interrupts workflow.

5/5It's Back and the Future Looks Bright
I was a paid Pro user before the company changed hands, and was very disappointed about its demise. Corkulous is without question, the top of the heap for cork board apps. Nothing beats the simplicity, ease, and stability this app brings to this category. One concern brought up by any subscription service is access to your data once your subscription runs out. The new owner has been generous in saying people will have read only access to their projects even after their subscription runs out. This sounds like some who thinks of subscribers, not just himself. The current subscription price of $7 per year is reasonable of the new owner and shows his concern with previous paid users like myself. Anyone using this app for anything serious should have no problem with that in this day of price gouging subscription services. I am turned off by that, but the software business is changing, so I'm thankful for a reasonable subscription to an excellent and solid app. I hope that Corkulous will remain with us for a very long time. All the best to the new owner, and Long Live Corkulous. Glad you're back!

5/5Glad It's Back!
When you buy a real cork board and put stickies on it, eventually it becomes old, worn out, the stickies fade, and over time you get tired of it and move on. Corkulous changes that and gives you plenty of cool useful options to work with corkboards! I understand the pain of using an app that the developers stopped supporting - all of my corkboard apps have ended up in the app grave yard after a few years. I'm glad someone thought enough of Corkulous to bring it back and update it, and cared enough about the user community to change the pricing model so it could be profitable for them to keep it up to date and add new features. Let's be totally 100 - the price for this app even with an annual subscription is more than fair compared to the price of an actual cork board - and you probably won't be carrying many of those around with you every where you go! This app is really useful in a lot of ways, and the new developers deserve some appreciation for resurrecting this app from the big bit bucket and planning so they can keep supporting it in the future. Let's do our part and give them the support they need to update this app since Apple is going to keep changing iOS. If we get some new features along the way, that will be even better!

5/5Much needed
It blows my mind that there are so few apps like this. By design, the iPhone and iPad have always given you this digital blank slate to create on, yet so few apps actually take advantage of these visual 1:1 interactions like in real life. I work in a creative industry, every wall in our agency is covered is black pinboard material. I am so thankful this same type of visual based concept wall is back and being supported. To the developers: (I'm being serious) the only thing bad about this app is the Godawful iPhone gen 1 style app icon. I will happily design you 20+ alternatives for free. I love this app and I can't stand to look at it on my home screen. I'd imagine there's other creatives out tbste that feel the same. Please take me up on this refresh offer! It's 2018.

4/5Nice little app, but...
I want to love this app not just like it. It has lots of cool little features except for one I consider the most important...being able to handwrite anywhere on anything. It does have one note-sticky that lets you write or draw, but it would be nice if that worked on all the stickies and tags. When I'm using sticky notes, I'm usually moving really fast and loose which means jotting with a pen or pencil, not typing. Also? Could we make it a little easier to change the board names? Maybe my device is malfunctioning but it's only by sheer luck that I manage to get the board to go into "edit mode" on the front screen so I can change its name. A little frustrating. Otherwise, I really love the concept of this app!

          "body": "Sadly, like many applications, this app interrupted my day to beg for a review… and sadly I must give my standard review for any app that does so: one star. This is an expensive application, and the affirmation of being paid appears to be insufficient its creators. It does its job, and the interruptions are infrequent, but the act of interrupting my day for a review I find completely intolerable. Please eliminate this behavior so that I may raise my review to where it would be otherwise. UPDATE: This app interrupted me not once.. but twice, after I’d indicated “:not now”… this is an inexcusable interruption to the workflow. UPDATE2: The developer responded to turn off review in App Store settings. Interesting thing is that they are *already* off… and this app appears to ignore the setting. My review stands. This app ignores settings, begs for reviews and interrupts workflow.",

          "title": "It's Back and the Future Looks Bright",
          "body": "I was a paid Pro user before the company changed hands, and was very disappointed about its demise. Corkulous is without question, the top of the heap for cork board apps. Nothing beats the simplicity, ease, and stability this app brings to this category. One concern brought up by any subscription service is access to your data once your subscription runs out. The new owner has been generous in saying people will have read only access to their projects even after their subscription runs out. This sounds like some who thinks of subscribers, not just himself. The current subscription price of $7 per year is reasonable of the new owner and shows his concern with previous paid users like myself. Anyone using this app for anything serious should have no problem with that in this day of price gouging subscription services. I am turned off by that, but the software business is changing, so I'm thankful for a reasonable subscription to an excellent and solid app. I hope that Corkulous will remain with us for a very long time. All the best to the new owner, and Long Live Corkulous. Glad you're back!",

          "body": "When you buy a real cork board and put stickies on it, eventually it becomes old, worn out, the stickies fade, and over time you get tired of it and move on. Corkulous changes that and gives you plenty of cool useful options to work with corkboards! I understand the pain of using an app that the developers stopped supporting - all of my corkboard apps have ended up in the app grave yard after a few years. I'm glad someone thought enough of Corkulous to bring it back and update it, and cared enough about the user community to change the pricing model so it could be profitable for them to keep it up to date and add new features. Let's be totally 100 - the price for this app even with an annual subscription is more than fair compared to the price of an actual cork board - and you probably won't be carrying many of those around with you every where you go! This app is really useful in a lot of ways, and the new developers deserve some appreciation for resurrecting this app from the big bit bucket and planning so they can keep supporting it in the future. Let's do our part and give them the support they need to update this app since Apple is going to keep changing iOS. If we get some new features along the way, that will be even better!",

          "body": "It blows my mind that there are so few apps like this. By design, the iPhone and iPad have always given you this digital blank slate to create on, yet so few apps actually take advantage of these visual 1:1 interactions like in real life. I work in a creative industry, every wall in our agency is covered is black pinboard material. I am so thankful this same type of visual based concept wall is back and being supported. To the developers: (I'm being serious) the only thing bad about this app is the Godawful iPhone gen 1 style app icon. I will happily design you 20+ alternatives for free. I love this app and I can't stand to look at it on my home screen. I'd imagine there's other creatives out tbste that feel the same. Please take me up on this refresh offer! It's 2018.",

          "body": "I want to love this app not just like it. It has lots of cool little features except for one I consider the most important...being able to handwrite anywhere on anything. It does have one note-sticky that lets you write or draw, but it would be nice if that worked on all the stickies and tags. When I'm using sticky notes, I'm usually moving really fast and loose which means jotting with a pen or pencil, not typing. Also? Could we make it a little easier to change the board names? Maybe my device is malfunctioning but it's only by sheer luck that I manage to get the board to go into \"edit mode\" on the front screen so I can change its name. A little frustrating. Otherwise, I really love the concept of this app!",
