4/5Very good recipe app
I’ve just started using this app, and it has become my go-to for finding new recipes, some of them very unique. I’ve bookmarked many of them for future meal ideas. The only downside I’ve found for me is that you can only “like/react” (😋👍🏼 etc.) to a recipe from the main feed. I’ve gone into individual people’s pages and found many that I would really like to try or sound delicious, but there is no way to do this on the actual recipe page itself. (note to developers: I would probably rate this app 5-star if you could.)

3/5I wish they had country specific apps or versions
I like to add recipes to share and be able to go back and have them all in one place, however I don’t use it to find other recipes, because most of what I see is in a language I don’t speak or know. There isn’t a way for me to convert the recipe to my language (English)…. Therefore I don’t understand the recipe. I am not sure why most of my feed is not English, but I wish there was a version for specific languages, or measurements, and you can choose to search out based on country/language, measurements, etc. rather than it being on your feed automatically. I would like to be able to set my preferences for what I see on my feed. The other option I would like, is something that allows translation. If I want to search a recipe from India for example, I would like to be able to translate it into English, with the measurements I know and use. Having recipes in other languages, and measurements that I’ve never used, doesn’t do anything for me. I am unable to use them or follow them, because I have no idea what they are. Therefore I only post recipes to my app, but I’ve never really used it to find recipes. I do wish it was also more social. There isn’t very much interacting going on between users. Last, not very many people know about the app or use it. I do believe if there was some adjustments, specifically with the language part, more options for member interactions, preference settings, translation opportunities only when you want to use it, and more advertising on social media for the app, there would be more use and more traffic within the app, to make it more appealing and popular to others.

5/5I 🫶🏼 Cookpad!!!
I’ve known about Cookpad since 2018. I’ve been living in the U.S. since 2014, and it was my first time living on my own, no longer with my parents. Whenever I wanted to cook something like a stew, I didn’t know how to make it, so I would search for the recipe on Google. A Cookpad link would always come up, and there I would find the recipe explained in detail, with all the ingredients, measurements, cooking times, and well-explained steps! That’s how I found you! I created an account on Cookpad Spain since that’s my home country, and I cook the way we do there. At first, I made the account just to look up recipes, but since I love baking, I eventually started uploading my own recipes too! Now, I’ve just created an account here in the U.S. to share my cooking with the country I’ve been living in for 10 years and a half. Of course, I also want to learn new recipes, since this is home to people from many different nationalities with amazing culinary traditions.

1/5UNFORTUNATELY IM CHANGING GOOD REVIEW 😡
I used Yummly for over 15 years and they all of the sudden shut down their app. Cookpad came along out of … I don’t even know how it came along lol, but I’m so glad it did! I love being able to add my own creative ideas and I’m able to comment on others and communicate with others from all over the globe 🌍 thank you so much this app is truly a blessing. I hope in the very near future you will have the ability to translate languages right on the recipe itself instead of copy paste and google. Other then that FANTABULOUS JOB EVERYONE 😜🥂🌺 I really enjoy so much the ladies I have met and honestly the friendships that happen. Bringing ppl together for their love of food and cooking was such a beautiful success! Thank you everyone of you creators and employees of this beautiful community 💝 SEEING HOW HAPPY I WAS WITH MY ABOVE REVIEW I GUESS THE SAYING IS TRUE THAT 1 bad apple spoils the bunch!!! I have been enjoying this app as it has been a major stress relief due to major health issues, so I try to maintain a very peaceful day with a peaceful activity… cooking 🧑🍳 Just to be HARASSED BY SOME WOMAN ON HERE (team) TELLING ME CONSTANTLY TO CHANGE MY PICTURES WHEN THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM except for the first one which was a pic of a pumpkin I googled of one similar to the one i had and accidentally deleted. No problem I changed it. Now she has the AUDACITY!!!! TO TAKE A DIFFERENT RECIPE OFF BECAUSE I USED MY LEMONS AS A PHOTO UNTIL THE LIMONCELLO IS FINISHED!!! SO I PUT IT BACK OUT AND TOLD HER I WAS PLANNING TO CHANGE IT WHEN I WAS FINISHED. WHO IS THIS LADY THE COOKPAD HITLER!!! I DONT ANSWER TO THIS WOMAN!!! ITS MY RECIPE AND THERE ARE OTHER PPL WHO HAVE INGREDIENTS AS THE PHOTO TO SEE AS YOU SEARCH! SO I PUT IT BACK ON AND SHE CAME AND TOOK IT OFF A SECOND TIME ! WTH!!! I MEAN ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! You don’t have nothing better to do with your own life then to bother people over a PICTURE!!! SO NOW MY STRESS LEVEL HAS INCREASED BECAUSE OF THIS PATRICIA !!!! WHICH I HAVE BLOCKED AND I WOULD APPRECIATE!!!! SOME ONE CONTACTING ME

5/5Cook pad is a big help
looking for recipe is not always easy, there so many options up there that sometimes confusing and to be honest just waste some ingredients since they doesn’t taste good if I may say (dare i say this). Once I found cookpad is so much easier, everything is in your finger tip and all you have to do is search, read carefully and use common sense. Thank you cookpad, most of the recepies are easy to follow and delicious make me dare to try and to show off😀

This week we made minor improvements to the app. Have you tried our new Recipe Import feature yet? It makes it easy to save recipes from Instagram, Twitter (X), websites, and more directly into Cookpad—perfect for any recipe you want to cook outside of Cookpad. For example, if you find a recipe on Instagram, tap the airplane icon > Share > select Cookpad. You’ll be redirected straight to Cookpad, where you can save it. You can also tap the “+” icon in Cookpad, select Import Recipe, and paste the URL. Once saved, your recipes are easy to access anytime and convenient to view while cooking. We’re actively improving the app, so make sure to update to the latest version to enjoy all new features and fixes. We’d love your feedback! Share your thoughts via Menu > Send Feedback in the app.
