2. 5/5Cook Smarts is the only meal planning program that actually works for me and my family

   Since I learned about Cook Smarts from a friend 4 years ago, it has been a consistent piece of the meal planning puzzle for me and my family of 4. It is so easy to use and flexible. I can pull a single recipe from it based on searching by an ingredient I have on hand, use it to plan a week of meals, save my family favorites, etc. The ease of making and editing a shopping list and doing Sunday prep with clear instructions when we can are incredibly intuitive and make our lives easier. Also, the fact that the recipes are generally only 30-45 mins start to finish for a delicious well-rounded meal even if you don’t have time for Sunday prep is always impressive to us. My kids even love most of the recipes too! I also love that it’s easy to adapt the recipes when we have a vegetarian friend visiting or my gluten-free sister visiting. I am so grateful for Cook Smarts and have recommended it to all my friends and family for years!

3. 5/5Cook Smarts is a Life Changer!

   I’ve been using Cook Smarts consistently for I think 13 years now? I came to it with basically the cooking knowledge required to make a quesadilla and have been regularly making delicious meals for years now. There are so many that are incredibly simple (but still nutritious) for busy weeknights and some that are a little more extravagant if you’re feeling fancy. My favorite feature though is the ability to switch dietary needs for each meal. We became vegetarians about 6 years ago and Cook Smarts made it so easy because every meal on the meal plan has a vegetarian (and paleo and gluten free) version you can select. Oh! And the grocery lists! The grocery lists are a lifesaver! Everything about this service has been so well thought out. They really listen to the needs of their customers and are constantly working to make it better. We will never use anything else!

4. 5/5Fantastic meal planning

   I've been a Cook Smarts user for several years and it's been such a useful service. This app is a wonderful addition. If, like me, you're done spending ridiculous money on repetitive meals in those mailed boxes that send you wilted ingredients, if you're baffled by those generative meal planning services that think "2 eggs, 1 1/4 slices of bread, 6 cucumbers" is a meal you'd want to serve to your family, or if you're just tired of making the same twelve things over and over, this is the service for you. This app is a fantastic extension of the website, easily allowing you to choose to stick with the weekly menu or build your own from hundreds and hundreds of archived recipes. It builds your grocery list for you and walks you through weekend prep according to the recipes you've chosen so that you're ready to hit the ground running when Monday night rolls around and you've got to get dinner on the table. This is an excellent service for people who are interested in expanding their palate and pantry, but it's still going to be stuff that you can find in your local supermarkets. Cannot recommend Cook Smarts enough if you want to get started with cooking, if you love cooking but hate meal planning, or if you're just looking for a service with approachable, tasty recipes that'll make life a little easier on a weeknight.

5. 5/5Cook Smarts is a lifesaver!

   Not only are the meals tasty, but Cook Smarts saves me so much time, money, and mental energy! I no longer have to cobble together my own weekly meal plans (and shopping lists), and CS structures their meal plans to also save time in the kitchen. Often there will be an ingredient that can be doubled in order to cook once and use again as part of a different meal during the week. There’s lots of flexibility in which meals I choose to cook, including how many servings I want to make and for which diet type (omnivore, vegetarian, etc.). And grocery shopping is so much easier with their generated shopping lists to which I can also add my own household items. The folks involved with Cook Smarts really care about the product they put out. It’s obvious that it’s more than a product — it’s a passion. I’ve been using Cook Smarts for almost 10 years, and I’m so glad I found them!
