"title": "Does Not Point to True North - Not Accurate",
"body": "When calibration is checked against a known bearing, it varies greatly around a 360 degree compass check course. It is fine to use when figuring out the general direction, but I don’t recommend it for serious navigation when accuracy matters. Certainly not for marine navigation - you’ll run yourself aground, or worse! I’m quite surprised and disappointed that Apple would let this by. I recommend free compass apps available here in the Apple App Store, such as Commander Compass. Most can be upgraded for a minor subscription fee. All should be “calibration checked” against a known True North bearing before considering for use in serious navigation.",

"title": "I used to love this app",
"body": "I don’t know what going on but I used to use this app all the time but now for some reason it’s not responding what so ever. I’ll remove the app and all the data then redownload it. It does ask me to calibrate, when before it would often have me recalibrate. The compass won’t move at all. Says I’m pointing north at all times. It shows that city I’m in but that’s it. It won’t tell me what direction I’m facing at all. Help! I fit. Understand what’s happening. All my location services are on. The system service are on the calibration is on. I thought maybe it was my service area but everyone else’s phone who has the same carrier has no problem using their compass. I have no idea what’s happening. It would be nice to be able to manually select an option to recalibrate or something.",

"body": "I think it would be awesome if the compass pointed to where it is actually reading when you just see it on your Home Screen. Like the clock app actually tells the correct time and the second hand moves when you look at the app on the Home Screen. I think it would be cool if the compass did the same thing.",

"body": "The compass works fine on my 14 Pro unless under location services you have \"allow while using app\". Then the compass freezes with the dial frozen North. It will tell you what county you are in and if you turn on \"precise location\" the actual co ordinates, but the compass is useless. Very weird . Hope this isn't a trend of Apple being too big to handle the small stuff. I guess time will tell.",

"title": "Apple Watch portion of the software keeps auto-removing itself from my watch.",
"body": "When the compass is present on my Apple Watch it’s great but lately, it will disappear from my watch periodically without reason. This is especially true when I am hiking in areas with poor cell phone service. It appears to be related to Apple’s Watch app on my phone as it disappears from that app as well. Restarting both the watch and the phone doesn’t make a difference. Then weirdly, the Compass app reappears spontaneously. But if I can’t trust that it is present when I need it (hiking in the woods for instance), it’s scary and frustrating. Currently it is off of my watch (as is the Apple Maps watch app as well).",
