1. 1/5Breaks all the time, and very slow on a good day

   When ComicHub works, it’s barely serviceable, but far from good. Very slow searching, and new items are added at seemingly random times. Some items never show up (major publisher books, not obscure or indie titles) and it’s usually easier to order in person at my shop than searching on the app and giving up in frustration. The latest error is trying to search and the app crashes after typing 3 or 4 letters. So once again it’s completely unusable, and probably won’t get fixed for a week or two.

2. 1/5Love comics, hate the app

   Gotta be one of the worst apps out there. Like get it together. We live in an age with unlimited resources to have a developer create an awesome, easy to use app with no bugs and I can’t even pay for my stuff right now so that I can pay my LCS through the app. Not to mention the search is super complicated… I just wanna search for a comic without having to think if it’s coming out this week, next week, or already in store. Someone please help this company do business right. It’s 2024 get your app together.

3. 2/5Time For A New Update

   I downloaded the app to support my LCS, but wow this app is hella slow. And when it does work, 9 out of 10 times the app doesn’t have the issues I’m looking for or their variants- even though the preorder window for these issues already opened. The only saving grace is I’m able to actually submit an order with no issues. If there was a better alternative, I would use that cuz this is way too slow and lacks a lot of preorder content.

4. 1/5Somehow worse with each update.

   I’ve become really reliant on Comic Hub and it’s mostly been able to do what I need it to do after figuring out its quirks (which are myriad), but every update seems to return old problems and create new ones. Now they will only allow you to search by titles as they come up on a pulldown menu as you type. If you have a two word title, Black Cat for example, you can type “black” and a menu pops down with everything with the word black in it plus author names even if they’re just close (Blair?). But the second you start to type “Cat” it will go blank and won’t produce search results. The saved searches are working better, but they are only useful if the “brand” (title) you want is included on their list (so no miniseries or many indie characters and even some big 2). I don’t know why they make this so difficult.

5. 1/5Very poor experience. Went to different shop to avoid using this.

   This app is just not easy to use. My previous comic shop utilized a different service that was stellar. This experience is a downgrade in every way CG. The toolbar colors in this app hurt my eyes. There doesn’t seem to be anyway to easily search without first choosing an arbitrary time category (aside? Or sub choices of coming soon). You have to make saved searches to find what you want, sometimes many saved searches. Finding variants is a chore… I haven’t figure out how to subscribe to a comic series… do I seriously have to search and select each month for some reason. I hope I’m just misunderstanding this app, but for now I Ended up shopping at a different and further comic book shop so I wouldn’t need to open this again. I hope they improve
