2/5Basic with notable issues
A bug has been introduced which makes this unusable. The circles used to manipulate the caption tails now export with both pdf and images making the output flawed. You can do basic layouts with this app and it’s fairly useful for that. However it can’t do the one thing you think it might: make a book. The only way to create a book is in app. You can’t view it outside. To do that you have to export pdfs or images and build it yourself with other software. Which is now broken due to the caption tail issue. Caption types are limited. Only one form allows you to size the box. No typical “radio” message type caption bubble. In your saved pages, there is no obvious order. It seems like last update sorted them by regency of edit but there is no way to sort by name for instance which is hugely inconvenient. Pictures also can’t be locked in place unless you apply the comic book filter appearance to them. Overall it’s ok for a quick layout but it quickly runs into usability problems.

3/5Good app for creating what you want
I really enjoy the app. It works great to help me create study materials for herbs in school. The one problem I have with it that is problematic, is consolidation of files and uploading the finished comic book as a full PDF either to Email or to a computer. This causes a challenge with transferring the comic book to another device, or the finished product for storage elsewhere. I also have a few glitches switching between pages and the comic books.

3/5Good Tool - UI Could Improve
You can realize your quick comic book ideas with this app. The layouts, bubbles, and stickers are great. There are a two focus areas that would make this app more enjoyable to work with. Saving, organizing, and navigating your work is confusing and scary. When I create a book, how do I navigate to and edit the next page? Why am I getting a message that my work may be lost when I had just saved? And positioning items is scary. Sometimes, the 'Lock Button' for a panel image is hidden by speech bubbles. I would love to see a menu that shows me where I am and allows me to navigate elsewhere. Am I editing a singular page? Am I viewing a book? Am I editing a page within a book? There should probably be a main menu. The tools are there, and they are great tools. The interface just makes me nervous that I'm going to lose or mess up my creations.

5/5Solid: Used for over 10 years!
I have used this app for over years to create posts for social media, make cards for friends, etc. I’ve never had any technical issues. This is a solid app for making easy comic book style images. There may be Canva, AI and other apps, but I live the hands on control of resizing/opacity change/ placement of “stickers”. I love this app so much- great job on design guys!

This is by far the best app I have ever purchased. It is very reasonably priced and doesn’t fall to the subscription based service garbage. The few in app upgrades are also priced reasonably and well worth it but the app is already awesome without them. Thank you for letting me purchase my app instead of renting it. The photo filters are amazing and look exactly like hand drawn comic books. The flip the page animation when you turn pages is a nice extra that makes the app seem even more professionally done. Took a picture of an action figure posed, and within minutes had a comic page ready with dialog. The possible uses for this app are literally limitless with a bit of creativity and imagination. Great job devs!

"body": "A bug has been introduced which makes this unusable. The circles used to manipulate the caption tails now export with both pdf and images making the output flawed. You can do basic layouts with this app and it’s fairly useful for that. However it can’t do the one thing you think it might: make a book. The only way to create a book is in app. You can’t view it outside. To do that you have to export pdfs or images and build it yourself with other software. Which is now broken due to the caption tail issue. Caption types are limited. Only one form allows you to size the box. No typical “radio” message type caption bubble. In your saved pages, there is no obvious order. It seems like last update sorted them by regency of edit but there is no way to sort by name for instance which is hugely inconvenient. Pictures also can’t be locked in place unless you apply the comic book filter appearance to them. Overall it’s ok for a quick layout but it quickly runs into usability problems.",

"body": "I really enjoy the app. It works great to help me create study materials for herbs in school. The one problem I have with it that is problematic, is consolidation of files and uploading the finished comic book as a full PDF either to Email or to a computer. This causes a challenge with transferring the comic book to another device, or the finished product for storage elsewhere. I also have a few glitches switching between pages and the comic books.",

"body": "You can realize your quick comic book ideas with this app. The layouts, bubbles, and stickers are great. There are a two focus areas that would make this app more enjoyable to work with. Saving, organizing, and navigating your work is confusing and scary. When I create a book, how do I navigate to and edit the next page? Why am I getting a message that my work may be lost when I had just saved? And positioning items is scary. Sometimes, the 'Lock Button' for a panel image is hidden by speech bubbles. I would love to see a menu that shows me where I am and allows me to navigate elsewhere. Am I editing a singular page? Am I viewing a book? Am I editing a page within a book? There should probably be a main menu. The tools are there, and they are great tools. The interface just makes me nervous that I'm going to lose or mess up my creations.",

"body": "This is by far the best app I have ever purchased. It is very reasonably priced and doesn’t fall to the subscription based service garbage. The few in app upgrades are also priced reasonably and well worth it but the app is already awesome without them. Thank you for letting me purchase my app instead of renting it. The photo filters are amazing and look exactly like hand drawn comic books. The flip the page animation when you turn pages is a nice extra that makes the app seem even more professionally done. Took a picture of an action figure posed, and within minutes had a comic page ready with dialog. The possible uses for this app are literally limitless with a bit of creativity and imagination. Great job devs!",
