For years, I’ve been on the lookout for a tool like this app. I deal with antiques and frequently come across large coin lots, which used to be a tedious process to evaluate…Then, I found this app. App not only identifies and grades each coin in seconds but also organizes them into collections. It’s not limited to just US coins either, it handles foreign ones with ease…This app is complete package for anyone dealing with coins, be it for business or simple identification.

You developers clearly don’t know how to attract more customers if this is your idea of a free, fun, and useable app since you can’t even see anything without paying for it??? Most people in the world don’t have money for your scams. And I’m not interested in any “free” trial that wants my card info before I even know if I want to make a purchase and risk them randomly charging me. There are ways to charge people without turning them away at the front door. I’m not putting money towards anything that I can’t even see if I like it and it works for me. Don’t waste your time and money even downloading this! There are free apps that you can actually test and decide if a purchase is worth your time and service.

3/5Does not store actual coin photo
It works fairly well when using your phone to take a photo of the coin front and back. It’s not fully accurate though and the values it claims are suspect. What bothers me the most is if you store you collection into the phone, it stores a stock photo of that coin and not your actual photo of your specific coin. I can scan a 1892 Morgan with my phone camera and it identifies the coin but then I add that to a collection and it’s a photo of some stock Morgan 1892 and not my specific coin. Makes no sense? It’s not worth the yearly cost to maintain your collection

I recently started collecting old coins and found this app in the App Store. After using it for a couple days, I can easily say that it’s been a major helping hand. Finding information about coins I never knew. It’s incredible to find out a penny can be worth more than its face value just by the date! Thank you coin identifier for making it so easy!

5/5Sheesh, what a find
I caught this app on a Discovery Channel show, and wow, it’s like having a treasure hunt right in my pocket! The app’s super easy to use. Just snap a picture and it tells you everything about the coin, even its worth. Found out an old foreign coin I had was actually rare! Coin Scan makes checking out my loose change a daily thrill. Seriously cool find!
