5/5Very Comprehensive.
Allows for excellent data input to dial in each roast along with being able to add specific notes and photos. The categories are very complete and well thought out. It is very easy to navigate and syncs well with Acaia Lunar. I only wish there was a category to input grinder rpm settings since that typically will change the grind and shot time settings for espresso. Perhaps being able to graph flow control profiles would be a nice add on in the future as well. These two things are very minor and very picky considerations to an otherwise excellent app. Very happy to give this 5 stars.

5/5The Ideal Companion app for coffee nerds
Some apps you can just tell how deeply the developer cares, and this is definitely one of them. Really thorough app with tons of options, lots of flexibility for what you want to track and how, great tools for identifying how to improve your coffee making, and the app just feels GOOD to use. I’ve been using coffee book for a couple of years now, and it’s become one of the most essential pieces of my coffee-making setup.

5/5Great app! Worth the one-time purchase
I’d recommend this over other apps. Doesn’t harvest data, and it’s a reasonable one-time purchase. Has all the functionality of other apps and has a clean UI. A few suggestions, though: 1) the shots pulled in the dialing-in phase should be calculated in the total usage of a bag (it’s currently not). 2) when “brewing from recipe” it would be great to see deviations from the recipe. E.g, I load a recipe, and any variables I tweak or if output changes for that day’s brew, they’ll show in green/red (up/down) relative to the recipe. That way, I could see changes over time from my starting recipe as beans age, as weather changes etc. Overall great app! Hope to see it evolve over time!

TLDQR: Provides good amount of details for repeating brews; however, it lacks customizability, and the abilty to create your own “Guides.” Long story: It has some pretty nice features that help you dial in as repeat your chemistry, I really like the guide feature however it would be “amazing” if I could either create or edit a guide of my own (maybe I just don’t know how to do it) for a better step by step UI. The other thing would be to add more options to move around the details of the recipe and additional options like [bean (g)] instead of just coffee, I grind only as much as I need so occasionally the grind eats some if I don’t smack her hard enough. Or maybe water pre-boil. Also the ability to turn off details, like RPM, my grinder is very basic, or for those with a hand grinder… Like I said overall not bad.

5/5Amazing app for coffee gurus!
I spent quite some time looking for an app that I could log in all of my coffee brews as an owner of a high espresso machine, pour over kit, and coffee siphon. This is great for anyone who is trying to up their espresso game and analyze what could have gone wrong or what could have gone right. Thanks for An amazing app!

"body": "Allows for excellent data input to dial in each roast along with being able to add specific notes and photos. The categories are very complete and well thought out. It is very easy to navigate and syncs well with Acaia Lunar. I only wish there was a category to input grinder rpm settings since that typically will change the grind and shot time settings for espresso. Perhaps being able to graph flow control profiles would be a nice add on in the future as well. These two things are very minor and very picky considerations to an otherwise excellent app. Very happy to give this 5 stars.",

"body": "I’d recommend this over other apps. Doesn’t harvest data, and it’s a reasonable one-time purchase. Has all the functionality of other apps and has a clean UI. A few suggestions, though: 1) the shots pulled in the dialing-in phase should be calculated in the total usage of a bag (it’s currently not). 2) when “brewing from recipe” it would be great to see deviations from the recipe. E.g, I load a recipe, and any variables I tweak or if output changes for that day’s brew, they’ll show in green/red (up/down) relative to the recipe. That way, I could see changes over time from my starting recipe as beans age, as weather changes etc. Overall great app! Hope to see it evolve over time!",

"body": "TLDQR: Provides good amount of details for repeating brews; however, it lacks customizability, and the abilty to create your own “Guides.” Long story: It has some pretty nice features that help you dial in as repeat your chemistry, I really like the guide feature however it would be “amazing” if I could either create or edit a guide of my own (maybe I just don’t know how to do it) for a better step by step UI. The other thing would be to add more options to move around the details of the recipe and additional options like [bean (g)] instead of just coffee, I grind only as much as I need so occasionally the grind eats some if I don’t smack her hard enough. Or maybe water pre-boil. Also the ability to turn off details, like RPM, my grinder is very basic, or for those with a hand grinder… Like I said overall not bad.",
