1/5Good idea, poor execution
On the 7-day free trial and currently not planning on subscribing for the $100/year because I’m more frustrated than impressed. It’s hard to stay motivated and get past the dozens of steps to set up an account, despite being really curious about its potential. It required so much data input to just see what the app even looks and feels like (sync contacts, invite three friends, turn on notifications and location tracking, etc) which already annoyed me because I didn’t even know if it was worth all that work yet. Spent first few days trying to change my profile info with no luck, then focused on browsing lots of really vague and unresponsive profiles that I’m not even sure are real people. If any of my connections did work out, I have not had access to messages the whole time due to a consistent error message that keeps popping up, so I don’t even know how to connect with them. Have my first event tomorrow and will make the call after that on if this is worth any more time than I’ve already given it.

5/5The new way to network
Clockout is a great concept and platform to leverage meeting liked minded individuals and connecting with professionals. It allows you to blend the professional and humanity in us. I love the ability to join and create clubs that enable further connectivity and belonging - through conversation and meetups. I believe there is an opportunity area is to leverage the platform to create more network effects and better engagement. Perhaps developing a channel within the app for sharing content to learn from, and/or creating a weekly podcast sessions that can allow connectivity, belonging and learning across varied topics. You can also create a process to preapprove or allow content sharing or highlights from meetups, to further drive more engagement and attendance. Developing more infrastructure will help increase membership and its value add, and perhaps create varied subscription opportunities based on willingness to pay models. Keep up the great work.

5/5Amazing App: Full of Opportunities
For context: I am a current college student looking to develop my career. This is such an amazing app if you’re looking to make lifelong friends or looking for people to connect with strong career ambitions just like yourself. The opportunities are endless - the fields range so far and wide from finance all the way to health sciences, you’ll be sure to find your field here guaranteed. Also the UI is so easy to navigate and the app itself runs so smoothly a little bit of lag sometimes but smooth overall. However, it’d be nice to add a section for undergrad students since students like me are looking to develop my career. Another note: with the swiping feature there should be a warning before you swipe telling you that you cannot go back once you swipe right. Other than that amazing app. This will be the app of the future for sure.

2/5Potential, But Falls Short
I don’t believe at all they only accept 10% of applicants given the people I’ve seen on it and the fact that to even launch your account, you have to refer 4 people who can skip the “line”. They make this big deal about your profile standing out, so imagine my surprise when many of the people in my field who also “stood out” are still in school or very entry level positions. I haven’t come across a single profile so far that I’ve thought “wow, I really want to connect with this person”. I do fully believe in helping the next generation of workers up, people did it for me, but if I’m going to essentially be a mentor in my 30s, why am I paying a $100 fee to do it? I actually really do enjoy the mentor type role, but that’s not the crowd that is promoted as this app serving. The events hosted are similar to those I get invited to on LinkedIn already (and the LinkedIn ones don’t come with a cancellation fee if something comes up), so I’m struggling to justify the cost at all. I cancelled before my free trial was even up. I think it is good in theory, but it has a long way to go in practice to meet the expectations it markets itself to and justify the cost.

5/5Where Business-Minded People Connect
I’m always looking for platforms that genuinely add value and Clockout has been a refreshing experience so far. What really stands out to me is the ability to connect with Like-minded individuals who are slo focused on growth, accountability and building something meaningful. From a business perspective those kinds of connections are invaluable—you’re not just networking for the sake of it, you’re engaging with people who understand the mindset in similar fields. The app feeling intentional and community driver, which I appreciate. This comes along with a more authentic experience which you don’t really get on most social platforms. Wish List With that being said I’d love the developers to consider a couple of key features that would be nice to see. - connection based matching with others in similar fields. Often times I am connecting with others who may not be in my field. - leaving general comments on communities. Those who are actively involved can write their experience from first-hand to entice others to join or give them a live insight on what the club is about. - some fort of leveling up system, so you know who’s more active in the community, and you know who to connect with to make the most of your experience! Thank you for your time!
