1. 2/5Sells your info to third parties

   The app is great but recently had the unpleasant experience. 5 minutes after booking a ticket to London I get an email from a third party offering international SIM cards and plans for ‘my trip to London’. The same third party called me a couple of days later to make the same offer. I asked them where they got my email and number. It was from Cleartrip. These guys are already taking a commission; not sure why they have to sell customer data as well. After several emails to support there is no response.

   Cleartrip used to be the place to go but sadly, that is not the case anymore. The prices have gone up and they’ve become somewhat greedy. Sharing and selling customer information in order to make money. Not a good idea. I know many people that have stopped using Cleartrip because of this. I’m now forced to use flight network and cheapoair to book my tickets because Cleartrip prices have gone way up! It’s really not good to do this to your long time customers. You’re going to loose business doing such things in the long run because people will leave negative reviews for you. The app updates are almost completely useless as well. Not to mention, that they charge a convenience fee!?!?!!! When you’re booking a flight form Cleartrip they charge you a desperate convenience fee which no other website does... That is how they steal from you without you even knowing about it. No other website or business that I’m aware of charges a convenience fee. They don’t tell you about it until you’ve picked your flight and you’re ready to pay for it... Suddenly, it pops up and says that you have to pay a convenience fee which can be anywhere from 30-50AED depending on the price of your flight. Ridiculous and outrageous. I’ll never be using Cleartrip again because of the things that they do. Greedy business that does not care about their customers.

3. 1/5Their malpractice has us worried!

   I booked an adult+infant seat for an international trip through Cleartrip for AirIndia. They gave the PNR and e-ticket and all. When we tried to access booking details, the infant’s ticket was not associated with the PNR. Only showed adult. Airline said it is an issue with Cleartrip. My infant’s ticket did not have a PNR but thankfully they could see their name in the passenger list. Consequently we could not select bassinet seat or infant meal. After 10 days of daily follow up, Cleartrip said they made a remark on the booking that it will be resolved at airport counter while check-in Worst, we could not know if we would be able to fly or not!. The airline staff was very helpful and took a lot of efforts to correct the booking. We couldn’t get a bassinet seat but atleast were able to fly! They said, of late, cleartrip this doing this many times because they issue the adult seat first and then the infant separate to save money! Apparently, we were not the first to face this issue so they know what was to be done and fixed it. YOU CANNOT PUT US THROUGH THIS FOR SAVING MONEY! SHAME ON YOU CLEARTRIP! NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I BOOK THROUGH YOU AGAIN!

4. 1/5CLEARTRIP CLEARLY EXPOSED- A FRAUD COMPANY

   I had to cancel my flight tickets on March 20 due to corona pandemic, then coming to the refund, they made me wait for 60 days and it’s May 20, still haven’t got the refund. When email cleartrip, they said Cathayapcific airlines is not responding to them. So I called Cathaypacific airlines global customer care and got to know that cleartrip haven’t cancelled my tickets yet and they kept my tickets open. And then I tried to contact cleartrip mentioning the same, and at this stage cleartrip stopped responding to my emails because they knew that they were just deceiving me by keeping me waited for more than 2 months and giving stupid reasons every time. This is how cleartrip service is. Guys, I request everyone to book tickets with their trusted travel agent or if possible directly with the airlines. NEVER CHOOSE CLEARTRIP FOR YOUR TRAVEL. THEY WILL MESS UP EVERYTHING. YOU WILL BE PSYCHOLOGICALLY TORCHURED. Please save yourself.

5. 1/5No accountability and help with the Refund Process

   We booked tickets on Thai Vietjet from Ho Chi Minh City to Kolkata with a layover in Bangkok. Both the flights in our itinerary included on-vegetarian meals which were declined by the cabin crew in both the flights. The cabin crew in the first flight responded extremely rudely when we brought up this issue and in the second flight, they asked us to reach out to Thai Vietjet customer care for refund. When we reached out to Cleartrip (we booked the flights through Cleartrip) regarding this, they immediately dismissed it by asking us to communicate with Thai Vietjet directly. We purchased our tickets through Cleartrip and their nonchalance and their way of denying accountability has forced us to raise this issue with the Consumer Forum.

   customer support is not helpful, booked a hotel waiting 2 days for cancellation.. not yet done ... seems hotel listed is fake email is sent to ur team no help yet... very disappointed support.... not getting support

   froud hotels available in cleartrip. booking hone ke bad hotel nhi dete or paise bhi wapas nhi krte . koi bhi online booking ke bharose kisi hotel na jaye . in ye log hotel pahuchne pr room nhi dila pate hai mil jul kr customer ke paise kha lete hai
