   Downloaded this app awhile ago then forgot about it. Going thru all my apps today to delete ones I wasn’t using & couldn't even remember what this app was about. After reading the description decided to try it out. I have over 24K pics, videos etc on my phone! Aye yi -yi! I just haven’t taken time (ob) to delete ANY over the years although many are dupts, blurry etc. The task was too daunting! The only feature I’ve used so far on this app is the one that shows all blurry pics-what’s nice is it allows you to de-select the ones you still want to keep. It instantly allowed me to delete all the blurry pics I didn’t want-that alone would have taken a LONG time-out of 24K it’s a relatively low number-300 but still! It breaks all photos into groups of duplicates, similar, blurry, videos, screen shots. Now, I love my doggo but really, do I NEED over 10K pics of him?? My next project with this app is to attack my Dupts-that will almost be FUN! Looking forward to “spring-cleaning” my phone!! Thanks Gemini!!

2. 4/5Great product. Bad subscription.

   Once or twice a year, I try to clear out my unnecessary photos from the photos app. Every time, I make it no more 10 minutes before I quit out of frustration and accept the fact that I’ll have junk photos, videos, and screenshots stored with the rest of my photos for life. Gemini solves this issue. I think I spent probably a solid 30-45 minutes yesterday decluttering my photo collection. I know that sounds rough, but I cleared thousands of unnecessary files - something that would have previously taken numerous hours. Not only that, they almost make this process fun with swiping your photos to the keep pile or the trash pile. The way the app organized groups of photos was phenomenal - sometimes I’ll take 20 photos to get that 1 good one. With this app, I’m able to delete the other 19 in one tap. What I absolutely loathe about this app is the subscription model. I’m beating a dead horse here, but this is a product that we should be able to pay for once. With how great it is, I’d easily pay $20 for this app and keep it for life. Unfortunately, that’s not an option. Thankfully, because of the its efficiency, I was able to cancel the subscription before my trial expired all while successfully decluttering my phone.

3. 1/5Nothing within the app is free

   I downloaded this app for 3 specific reasons: 1. For the editing tools, like the option to blur the backgrounds of my photos. 2. For the “clean up albums & clear up space” feature. This automatic grouping feature is capable of automatically sorting through your albums and selecting things like blurry, low quality images that you can delete to clear up space. 3. Because it was SUPPOSED to be free. That’s why it gets 1 star — it was listed as a free app yet there wasn’t any of the features available unless you sign up for a monthly MINIMUM fee of $4.99. This means you download this app thinking some of these cool tools are supposed to be free yet none are. It only starts you on a “free trial” that will charge you for the app “renewal” automatically unless you catch it & cancel it. So basically useless as a “free app.” The fact that this app was intentionally misleading is what makes me lose respect & made me totally u willing to pay for the services within the app. I don’t like feeling scammed. I’m going 2 download a truly “free” app with similar features now. I also found snap seed, which I already found more useful (although it’s not got these exact features) but I’ll be hunting a non-misleading app to assist in clearing up photo space… or I’ll just manually go through & delete the duplicates, and accidental snaps that clutter my phone. That might be more time consuming but at least it’s free!

   I was a long time subscriber to Gemini, the previous version of this app. I didn’t use it all the time but stayed subscribed because I liked having it available whenever I wanted to use it. Then one day the developer discontinued Gemini and replaced it with this. It’s still the same idea, I guess: photo library organization - but Gemini was much more intuitive and easy to use. The UI in this version of the app is very bloated and slow. It’s very tedious to swipe through my photos and tap the checkmarks to select what I want to delete. Selecting photos is so laggy I often accidentally deselect items. Adding images to the sensitive folder is also unintuitive. And slow. In general it’s just an annoying app to use now and I’d be better off just scrolling through my actual photos app and deleting things from there. Also, it’s been trying to “scan” my photo library for weeks and still hasn’t finished. It keeps restarting. Also the name and logo is strange and seems scammy now, compared to the old branding. Even if it’s the same developer, the new branding comes off as a sketchy adware app. As a former Apple employee, this app gives off bad vibes and I would have never installed it if it hadn’t already been on my phone from when it was a different app name and icon. Going to discontinue my subscription and delete this app.

   Despite having 66,000 photos ~ many, many of which I know are duplicates ~ which is why I chose this app, it consistently failed to find any duplicates. In the very, very rare occasion it could locate a single one ~ it requires me to leave the app open and not use my phone for anything else and come back 30 minutes later, usually with nothing. The photo radar was never up to date or ever even worked. When I gave it one last shot today after trying consistently for probably close to year (my bad), the one duplicate it finds isn’t even a duplicate at all - but 2 photos of totally different things. No indication of similarity. Likewise, the screenshots it tried to delete as similar where not containing similar content whatsoever. While I attempted to use this app at least 50 times and paid for, I probably deleted less 50 dup total and that’s pushing it. More often than not, it was 0. Total bogus, very slow, and I have no idea how they are even allowed to market this for something it doesn’t do. I also found that some months, they charged me for 2 subscriptions via the apple store. Weird. While I have been pleased with out Gemini products on my laptop, this is a disaster. Save your precious time, and stay away. According to this app, it scans through 60,000 photos, thousands of videos, tens of thousands screenshots on my photo, but comes up empty every time and Takes minutes to hours, to load anything and starts at 0 every time. Despite saying it says up to date. I have troubleshooted, deleted, updated, reinstalled, checked their help section - this is just junk. Difficult to impossible to use successfully.
