  1. 5/5Apple contacts should have these features

The free version of app itself is a full utility if you are willing to do the tasks on your own. The developer has gone that extra mile to come up with smart filters with exactly what one would need to clean the contacts. Deserves 10 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  2. 1/5One more useless contact manager.

I'm starting to suspect that the iPhone API for contacts just doesn't allow someone to write a useful program. But that would not explain how terrible the interfaces are on all of these applications. Four dollars for the pro version so sure no problem I don't mind paying software vendors. I am a software vendor. But I don't care if you charge me $50 but would you make a program that works. You see all the contacts like every other program. Your check two of them and then choose merge and then you get the next page says contacts that are merged. It doesn't make any sense. In a merge you show the information from both and show the format in which you're going to keep the merged record. Even better would be if they have different columns or rows you would allow the person to choose the name stuff like that. Just doing some random thing is basically just damaging peoples contacts. If anybody is looking at all these reviews, I have tried 20 contact programs at this point and whether they are paid or not they are all useless. I want to pick which fields I consider a duplicate. Then I want the app to find duplicates. Then I want to choose how they merge. One way to display this is left/right or record A record B and you guess which data they want to keep. So I get to pick what I want for a name. Maybe I pick a different phone number. Maybe I mark both in which case you store both even if the notes have to be used. Like I said, maybe the API is just not capable of allowing people to write a good application.

  3. 3/5pay to play CRASH!

started getting a lot of Half crashes. App doesn't quit completely but goes back to the home screen and runs in the background but does not complete. let's be straight up here. you can really only use the multiple delete function of this app when you download it, and all of the rest of the functions are just demos of what you get when you pay. however this seems to be a highly rated, and well functioning application. i'm sure there are plenty of other ways to merge contacts without paying, but being frustrated in doing so made this app worth the purchase for how well thought out it is. I originally only downloaded it for a way to quickly delete all the contacts I no longer had a need for, but soon discovered just how screwed up my contact information and duplicates ended up after years of an organized use.

  4. 4/5Good, but limitations.

Because of a sync bug with a CRM add-on, my contact database should have been around 5500 but had grown to over 12,000. I would have been almost impossible, but certainly horrible to clean this up manually. I paid the $3.99 or whatever for the full boat version and began cleaning up my mess of duplicate contacts. The program does what it should and I’m happy. One limitation I noticed was it wasn’t able to handle more than 701 duplicates at a time. I found I needed to rerun each clean-up multiple times until the program found 0 contacts that met the duplicate search criteria I was using. If you’ve got a stupid amount of duplicates like I did, keep an eye on this and make multiple passes. Good luck!

  5. 1/5Crashes constantly, unfriendly UI

I paid for the full version and had high hopes. This app proved to be very difficult to use with a non-intuitive interface and confusing instructions. In addition, it crashes all the time (using an iPhone 8s, 256 GB) and often these crashes are while making big updates which left my contacts data in a messy state. I was trying to clean up 2700 contacts, many of which were duplicates or had slightly different data. In the end, I did this work manually on the desktop using the Contacts app and that was actually faster and more reliable than using this buggy app. A waste of money, unfortunately.
