CHP Incidents

NOTE: This version completely gets rid of the map that was in previous versions. The rationale for this decision is that, as you may have noticed in the previous version, the CHP does not provide enough information to allow for reliable mapping of incidents. They are working towards improving on that, but in the meantime I have decided to pull the map feature -- at least until the quality of the information can match the quality and ease-of-use of the map. ALSO, please note that this version requires iOS 5. This version contains a completely-redesigned user interface, with three parts: 1. You can see a list of all the incidents in the state, and choose to sort them either alphabetically by area (or region) they're in, or how far away you are from that region. This listing also contains a cool feature that lets you see how many CHP units are actually at the scene of the incident. The incident list also adds pull-to-refresh functionality, which I'm sure you'll love -- I know I do! 2. Glossary -- same as before, but without the search. Let me know in the reviews if you'd like it back (-: . 3. Finally, I realized it would be really nice to streamline the process if you'd like to report things that you see on the road to the CHP. The third part of the app is a "Report" area, that not only gives you but a button to call 911, but also tells you roughly where you were when you pressed "Report". Great feature. Discontinued the free version.

Resolves issue where incidents in the West Los Angeles area would sometimes show up much farther away than they should have shown up for people in or near that area.

on both iPad and iPhone: - Brings back the map view (far more accurate than it was before, thanks to better data from the CHP) - Gets rid of the ability to email incident URLs that would launch in the app. (The email function is still there.) on iPhone only: Changes the "sort by distance from area" option to just simple "sort by distance" (from the incidents themselves).

Fixes location permissions bug in iOS 8, and adds anonymized diagnostic logging to help diagnose crashes.

- Adds support for the iPhone X's larger screen size - Cleans up the map a lot, including possibly fixing issues relating to incidents not showing up on the map.

Fixes the issue where multiple issues wouldn't show up on the map if they were clustered too close together.

Updates the glossary. Also, please note that this is the last update of this app that will be available to users running iOS versions prior to iOS 13.
