  1. 5/5My experience with this app!

I downloaded this app almost 6 months ago because I saw an ad for it on Instagram. At the time, I did not have an OCD diagnosis but had been suspicious that I might be living with OCD for around a year. Let’s just say, I did not do things in the “correct” order 😂 This app originally helped me understand and map out what I had been experiencing with OCD for over five years. I was absolutely gobsmacked, I thought I just had really specific anxiety. I decided to start seeing an OCD specialist after a couple months of using this app. I used to argue with this app and try desperately to get reassurance from it, but now that I’ve been seeing a specialist, I now just use it to log insights, briefly process triggers and identify where OCD is taking over, and then get back to practicing uncertainty tolerance and living my life. I’m 25 years old, and who knows how much longer it would’ve taken me to get help and a diagnosis for OCD if I hadn’t tried this app?? I’m so thankful for the improvements I’ve seen over the last few months with the app, too. What a great tool. I recommend (if possible) to not do what I did though and try this app without formally before seeing a specialist, that could potentially be a hindrance to your recovery. Sending prayers of love and prayers of healing to all of you on your journey!

  2. 5/5Giving Me My Life Back

Pretty sure this app is going to save my life. As a person who has been heavily struggling with OCD for over a decade now, this is one of the only things that’s truly and CONSISTENTLY helped me. The chatting feature in particular is ridiculously useful, it doesn’t just educate, but also interacts in a way that allows you to make tangible progress very quickly. Each and everything I throw at it, even if it’s super vague or a jumbled mess, is met with structured, accurate, and insightful feedback. It’s a very well-designed, OCD-informed chat box. Even if you’re uneasy about AI, especially for therapeutic usage (understandable) I can promise you this one is responsibly designed for mental health and extremely effective at what it does. The app itself is nicely laid out and filled with great resources and tools for managing OCD. This and another app called Obssessed are some of the best resources for OCD that I’ve found, especially if being used together. Huge thank you to the creator(s)! It’s clear that this app was made with care and I am eternally grateful for the support it’s offered me. I implore anyone struggling with OCD to give this a try and, if you’re financially secure, please consider subscribing to it so it can continue to provide help.

  3. 5/5Instant Help!

I have been through so may CBT apps, DBT apps, even anxiety and other OCD apps but I’m not even exaggerating when I say that this app helped me with a HUGE spiral I have been dealing with for as long as I can remember as a stay-at-home mom who’s constantly worried about her kids and fur/feather kids. Most apps only treat OCD rituals. This is the only one I have found that actually helped me to not only reverse the spiral I was in (in LESS THAN 5 minutes!) but also gave me a few tools to choose from to use in case chatting with the ai bot wasn’t beneficial enough (it was.) This app not only helps you to identify the difference between what I thought was typical anxiety symptoms, and negative intrusive thoughts that lead to spiraling, but also gives you the scientific reasoning behind why your brain reacts the way it does. Being on the Autism spectrum, I’m fascinated by the human mind, so knowing the scientific reasoning behind any bodily function relieves a huge amount of the feeling that “something is wrong with me.” Please give this app a try. It’s made a huge difference in such a short amount of time.

  4. 5/5One of the best resources for managing OCD

I don’t normally write reviews, but after having intense anxiety and spirals for around a month, I decided to give this app a shot. Now, I will preface and say that this app is NOT a replacement for a real therapist, or medication, or a real treatment program. Rather, this app is an excellent aid when paired with these other treatments. The wonderful thing about it is the chat feature, being able to talk and vent to something that really understands OCD 24/7 and doesn’t reassure you is excellent. The AI is really good as well, very quick and thoughtful responses. I tried managing my OCD with apps like chatGPT, but those AI’s are not built to understand OCD, so they would end up just reassuring me and feeding the spiral. Choiceful really gets what you are going through and works with you to ground you during a spiral, and the lessons it provides and guided meditations are also excellent resources for understanding my OCD better. When paired with other treatments, Choiceful is an excellent resource to add to your toolbox.

  5. 5/5This WORKS, Worth Trying!

As a young OCD sufferer who is unable to get therapy and ran away/gave in to my OCD for so long, this app showed up when I needed it the most. The lessons they've provided, even the free starter ones, have been surprisingly helpful and eye-opening. The ones they share on the website are very helpful as well, and the amount of research and experience they've shown is impressive. The AI leaves open room for thinking and choice-making, unlike most therapy AI that only knows 2 methods and tends to politely tell you to toughen up. I will say there are some noticable bugs and glitches here and there but for me it doesn't distract from what the app provides. I'm grateful for the diverse amount of tools this app has AND that it’s available for everyone, and you can tell how much care has been put into it, it gets updates nearly every day too. And I can't recommend it enough for those who've struggled too long and are ready to step anew.
