1. 5/5Good Experience with a Designer Sweater

   There were questions about how this app could sell items so much lower than the designer websites. Well, so I tried CETTIRE for a sweater from a “weekend” brand. It cost me about half the price of the brand’s website price. It arrived in a timely manner from CETTIRE. It did not have a fancy presentation with a nice box and such. But it was the same beautiful quality and not a knock-off, I believe. So now I’m saving about a third for the pants I’m wanting from the brand. Even if the presentation isn’t fabulous, no one but myself would ever know that the item arrived in plain packaging. I’ll take the saved hundreds of dollars over redundant packaging. I’ll update my review if I have trouble receiving the wide-leg wool pants. Thank you Cettire folks.

2. 1/5Buyer Beware - Poor Quality and Customer Service

   I purchased a pair of Tod’s shoes from CETTIRE but unfortunately there was glue on the suede where it is joined to the sole of the shoe and the damage is quite apparent. I messaged customer service for resolution which they said they could not do an exchange so I would need to return and reorder. They do not even honor the price that you paid originally and do not provide for free shipping back until they deem what the exact issue is. This is after sending them photos on multiple occasions. The return process is quite cumbersome and only allows for a 14 day window. This after they took two days to respond to my initial request not leaving much time to abide by their policy. I asked if they were selling factory seconds and their customer service team ignored my question. I cannot believe that for an over $800 shoe that Tod’s does not have a good quality control process in place. Think twice before you purchase from CETTIRE because a bargain is not always a bargain if you are not getting a good quality product and CETTIRE does not even stand by the products they are selling.

   I’ve now ordered about 22 items from CETTIRE and I have to say the overall experience has been very good. The items are authentic & always ship pretty fast and it’s free international shipping to the U.S. when you spend money on higher end items. They run surprise 24 hour sales quite regularly. I’ve never had to return anything thus far. But I hear the return policy is a bit nightmare-ish. If they could make any improvements it would be to have a more responsive customer service dept that responds faster to emails regarding orders and sizing.

   Usually I have good experiences with most companies even if reviews aren’t great. I ordered an item that was $400 less than retail price. It showed as new. The shipping department (and shipping from Italy to California) were ON IT. Customer service on the other hand, very slow and show little courtesy. Their policy is that cancellations have to be done within 24 hours, but they are turtles on their email so they responded to my request to cancel (which was in the 24-hour window) 48+ hours after I sent the email and after the package was shipped. Once I received the item, I noticed that it was not new… the box was frayed and the item bag was open, though I saw no damage to the actual item so I got over that. I began emailing them advising I’d return it… and that a return fee should not be charged because it was their fault that they can’t respond to customers in the time frame their policy requires. They insisted that if I returned, the return fee would be charged. I basically told them to shove it and I’d just keep it/sell it here. Overall, 2 stars ONLY because of the shipping experience, otherwise I would have rated 1. Everything else was pretty much garbage. Hopefully they start responding to these horrible customer reviews and improve their service lines. Good luck!

5. 1/5Beware: Sizing Guide is Misleading and Terrible Customer Service.

   I ordered a $300 pair of rare Timberland boots for my boyfriend who wears a size 12. I followed the sizing guide on the website that stated an EU 45 was equivalent to a US 12. When I finally received my order, the size was actually an US 11. I contacted the terrible customer service about the misleading information the sizing guide on their website and they proceeded to tell me that I should’ve done my own research regarding sizing as their sizing guide was only indicative and not accurate. Never have I ever heard this nonsense before. If you’re selling an item, it is on you to ensure the sizing guide is accurate for that product. To expect the customer to do the work for you is a good way to ensure that they shop elsewhere, which is what I suggest. They then told me that I’d have to pay $28 to return the boots and then reorder them as they do not do exchanges. Shop at your own risk.
