   So I paid the $20 for the yearly plan discount thing and they have maybe 15 sounds altogether you can choose from. It would be nice to be able to upload your own, sounds or have a wider selection because I believe at least even at the $20 for the year isn’t enough for only being able to pick a couple to choose from. Great concept, but variety and customer ability needs to be talked about.

   Just downloaded Car Dashboard Widgets and setup was quick and easy. The app is simple to use and does exactly what it says, but so far it feels a little limited for a paid app. There aren’t many customization options, widgets, or sounds to choose from, which makes it harder to justify the price right away. That said, I’ve only been using it for a short time, so my opinion may change as I spend more time with it. If the developer adds more sounds, customization options, and features in future updates, it could become a much better value. For now, it’s easy to set up and works well, but I’m not yet convinced it’s worth the cost.

3. 1/5Not worth the money

   I purchased this app yesterday and I’m already regretting it. The app is very generic. You can set up a start up sound and an exit car sound as well as a home address sound. The sounds never play in that order or when they’re supposed to. Some times multiple sounds will play at once. Also the music and voice sound like a recording of a recording of a recording. Very frustrating. I’ve tried to get a refund but they make the process extremely difficult and encourage me to reach out to Apple. Apple tells me for a refund you have to reach out to the developer. So it’s just back and forth back and forth. I wouldn’t use this app if it was free.

4. 1/5Don’t fall for it

   Like others, I didn’t read the reviews either. Customization options it gives you in the ad advertisement are not real. It does nothing more than what the basic CarPlay options are. As far as the start up and shut down sounds – you can do the same thing using apple’s own Shortcuts app. In fact that’s how this app works. All you’re doing is paying $20 for the privilege of downloading a sound and having them show you how to use Apple shortcut app. If I could give this zero stars I would. Apple also will not issue a refund for the subscription, even after proving to them that this app does not do what it says.

5. 2/5Misleading but not false

   What this app seems to do is turn your phone into the CarPlay screen not a costume screen for your car but it’s for your phone so if your car has CarPlay this will not change your car if your car is just Bluetooth and you do not want to buy a CarPlay screen to put on your dash then this is what you need would I pay for it no should the app be a 1 time purchase and not have in app purchases yes
