  1. 5/5Everything I need + private!

March 2023: I think some of the negative reviews are targeted and purposefully misrepresent the features of this app. Given the privacy invading scope of data-collecting and selling by the biggest name app (do they really need to track me financially and other undefined “sensitive data”?), I decided to ditch it and look for something else. I am delighted to have found this app. It integrates with Apple Health, has convenient reminders, and even a little game with which you can distract yourself, if you’re feeling the urge to snack. After one day of use, I realize that the free version has everything I personally need, but I paid for the Pro version anyway, as a thank you to the developer. You can put in your stats and goals, search for foods, create your own foods, create and save the ingredients of recipes or regular meals (“mix ingredients”), edit them, define your desired macros and track them, select from a wide array of exercises and enter them, and if you pay the small one-time fee for Pro, you can also track water and add additional details to food (beyond fat, carbohydrates and protein). There are five tracked statistics in all: calories, exercise, macros, weight and water. Also, when you search for something you get one result, instead of potentially dozens that you waste your time picking through, then report for inaccuracies, and edit anyway. No, this does not have a convenient barcode scanner, but I’m willing to make that trade off for my privacy.

  2. 5/5Macros don’t make sense ..UPDATE

Can’t figure out how to interpret macros, the numbers and percentages just don’t add up in any way. The percentage wheel shows that one category was about 80% (100% of my goal) but the text in that category shows that I only made 48% of my goal.. The app seems to work nicely, the macros on the home page do not relate in any way to the macro screen and the wheel/chart doesn’t seem to display correctly.. Not sure what it is telling me.. The developer worked with me to resolve the issue and it seems that there may be a conversion error when using pounds and ounces rather than metric. When using metric, everything works as it should. Great developer support and a terrific app!

  3. 2/5The prettiest face of all the food apps, but the programming is a nightmare

I stuck with this app for a week, even paid for the pro version because I'm more likely to use something daily if it's pretty. I love the colors and was willing to overlook the many programming issues and add my own foods and tricks to get around the programming flaws but after the second time of my full food log being deleted it became style over substance and a frustrating waste of time. A few issues with the programming, ***** Twice my food log for that day was deleted completely before the day was over. Each time I open the app it automatically opens to Monday regardless of the day so I have to make sure every time I open the app I log food on the right day. It's irritating because you shouldn't have to pick out the current day every time. The macro percentages are confusing as they don't add up to 100%. You can only log food as an ounce not per tablespoon or piece. I had to look up the ounces of one egg because that was the only way it would allow me to save it. It's strange, but when you add a food in ounces and go to log it, even if it was a food you created in different ounces, it automatically puts in the portion of 3.57 ounces, so I have to change the ounces every time even for foods I created. When you log water, the ounces add up incorrectly. ****** I'm disappointed as this app really stuck out from the others because of how pretty and simple it is to use but I spent more time re logging food and trying to work around the programming to get the log to show what I wanted it to.

  4. 5/5Feature Rich

Finally an app that’s pretty enough to make it fun to use & packed with enough features to give me all of the information I need. There’s even health tips in it. I love that! I downloaded 8 tracking apps to try. My old one was so ugly I wasn’t motivated to use it. After testing each app I chose this one & loved it so much that I bought the Pro Version. It’s an extremely affordable price that you pay just 1 time, no annoying subscriptions. Give the free version a try, you may love it enough to buy it too!

  5. 1/5Difficult to use, near impossible to work with foods

This software is difficult to use from the start. I tried the free (and doubted it) and hoped the PRO would be better. It’s not. Getting around to do various things might come in time, but it is not intuitive. Creating a good is forced to be at 100, so if you are adding, let’s say cereal, and the box shows that it is based on a 59g serving, you have to recalculate everything to 100g, then when you add it to your day, you have to enter 59g to get it to work out correctly. You can’t enter the number of servings either (because it forces you to drop a serving size). Editing a food is hit or miss. If you try to change something, there is no SAVE button, only another EDIT button, and that may or may not save the changes. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
