Some small bugs have been crushed!

What’s new in Burnie 1.1? The sun is back in full force, and Burnie is ready for it. With this update, we’re making it even easier for you to enjoy the sun safely, without having to constantly think about it. Here’s what we’ve added: • Widgets for everything: Your UV level and reapplication timer are now right on your Home and Lock Screen. A quick glance is all it takes; you don't even need to unlock your phone. • Live in your Dynamic Island: A live timer that shows you exactly how much longer you're protected. No more excuses for sunburned shoulders! • Your rhythm, your reminders: You can now customize exactly which alerts you want to receive. Just a gentle nudge for peak sun hours? Or a morning check-in? You decide. • Quick log: Just applied sunscreen? Tap the widget and your timer starts immediately. It’s that simple. • Fresh new look: Burnie got a makeover. Enjoy brand-new illustrations and a cleaner, sleeker design throughout the entire app. • Better guidance: We now explain more clearly why SPF 50 is often your smartest choice and how it impacts your timer. Hey, it's Burnie! I've been working hard to keep you better protected this summer. The biggest change: I now show a live countdown timer right on your protection card. You can see the seconds ticking down, so you always know exactly when it's time to reapply. I also got smarter about the calculation - I now look at the full UV forecast for your protection window, not just the current reading. That means the number I show you actually matches the timer that starts. A few other things I sorted out: - My Dynamic Island timer now knows when to switch from hours to minutes - I show temperatures and wind speeds in whatever units your phone uses - I stopped using "near you" as a place name in your morning reminder - I'll use your real city from now on - Your lock screen now gets a UV trend indicator from me Go enjoy the sun. Hey, it's Burnie! Still working hard to keep you covered this summer. The biggest change this time around is that your protection timer just got a whole lot smarter! I added a new Activity Selection feature, because what you are doing totally changes how long your sunscreen lasts. You can now tell me if you are keeping it relaxed, going swimming, or sweating it out with some sports, and I will automatically tweak your countdown timer to match. For my friends in the Netherlands and Belgium, I also added a brand new Products tab! You can now easily browse and grab my top sun protection picks directly via bol.com and Amazon.
