   Obviously this was developed without a single bit of common sense! I’m in “snow mode” yet the search results give me places in England and Africa!!! I’m not riding my sled from upstate NY to frigg’n Africa!! Make the search results places that are accessible by sled! When my phone is connected, it only displays “connection successful” I have to disconnect my phone in order to do a search. The search usually can’t find places that have been around for years! I’ll google the place for an actual address. When the full address, including the state, it picks a random word, usually from the street name, and runs with it! Once again giving unrealistic results like places in Wisconsin!! The only apps that can be used are the ones supplied by BRP connect. This is a list of apps that have absolutely no usefulness! Take a look at the NYSSA app. This is what a snowmobile trail app should be like! More reasonable search results! It also allows you to tap on any spot in the trail system and go there, regardless if there’s actually a POI! In a nutshell, make it so we can add our own apps! Examples are the NYSSA and Pandora! The built in navigation works if you choose a destination that is actually on the map. If you’re trying to just plan a ride you’re screwed unless there’s businesses you can tap on along the way! It’s sad to think I have to buy an aftermarket gps to mount to my sled, because the built in gps is worthless!!

2. 3/5Trouble connecting(any updates?)

   Update: just wondering if there has been any progress. Went on a second trip and it will only connect about 10% of the time. Heading out for a big trip in two weeks and really need this to work! The prior version of the app worked great over a 1,000 mile trip in Ontario two years ago, as well as the one day I was able to ride last year 😂. Now with this latest version, I had a lot of trouble connecting to the sled, which wasn't a problem before. All weekend it only worked twice. My friend with the same set up has the same issue. Also the routing logic seems very flawed. It seems to be routing in non-sensical ways, which did not occur as often with the previous version.

3. 1/5Wasn’t that good. New update worse.

   This a really poor functioning app. Even though it Bluetooth connects to sled you also MUST usb tether it for it to work. It often disconnects. It says you are not signed into the app but when you check the phone you are. It suddenly will close the app when it is functioning properly. There are very few apps that BRP will allow to interact with this app.... most of those apps are meant to be used on a motorcycle—which has no relation at all to an off road vehicle like a snowmobile. Sometimes you can use the music function but since the update it many times it won’t recognize music function. The map function works most of the time but at times will just show you as a blue dot in a field of gray. It’s shuts down also for no reason. Since the update it more often disconnected and requires you to stop driving. Pull out the phone and reconnect Maybe it will reconnect but usually now I’m getting error message to connect to the app. This entire system and gauge are baloney. May have been well intended but surely this never should have been sold in public as a functioning device. So many issues. If you can avoid it do not buy it. Using this recently now and it’s so annoying Can’t listen to music and navigate map. One or the other. Used map to breadcrumb my trip. On starting return trip it wouldn’t load to gauge. Restarted phone and app and it wouldn’t connect. Just kept saying connect phone with usb. Then app unavailable. Didn’t matter how much I reconnected or restarted. Detest this whole app/gauge setup. Couldn’t be worse to work with.

   Always logs me out so if I forget to login before heading out of cell service the entire map system I paid like 2500 bucks for is just useless, can’t search by coordinates, can’t search my so called “saved” places if I don’t have service, can’t see my saved places on the sled without the app, can only link via the usb cable and it will often disconnect when you jump your sled, I don’t know why you can’t connect via Bluetooth, can’t save a point on the map from the sled honestly I’m convinced you guys paid people to write reviews to get to 4 stars because I cannot think of one thing you guys actually got right with this app. Honestly you guys should just delete this app and pay Polaris for access to ride command because that system is set up flawlessly, I own and ride a Skidoo but the Polaris ride command is far superior to this app in basically all aspects.

   Edits on 8/3 BRP - there’s never been any mention of the Phone app being updated since last October. Will it be updated or are you abandoning it? Edited by 8/1. - the music app was restored when I wrote this review last week. Does anyone actually look at what they write. First my review appears to have been deleted. The latest Road version did restore the music app to its previous nonfunctional self while the bike is in motion. You can’t search just FF or RR No phone app. So this is now made the 7.8 inch dash virtually worthless. In order to use it as a GPS you must pay for Genius or Sygic. FOBO works but it works on the phone any way. Cardo works but it’s not necessary with BT 5.0. BRP, survey your customers and truly ask the on-road users what they want. And reset the app rating based upon t HD d ratings since Oct when version 2 was released, it’s not a 4.1 rating. It takes 30+ seconds to boot on the dash before you can connect the cable to invoke the phone to connect and there’s no phone app anymore.
