1/5Credit Builder Program Scam
I didn’t qualify for the transfer LOC so they suggested their credit builder program by which they’d “offer” me a $50 LOC and I’d pay back $10/month for 5 months to qualify to apply for the transfer LOC. Seemed low risk enough. At no point during the offering of this program or me subsequently signing up for it was there any indication whatsoever that it required a membership for a monthly subscription fee that would be charged annually. They took $99 out of my account. I’m literally paying them to “borrow” $50 - which has yet to be produced in any way commonly associated with a typical LOC - and then paying them back the $50 they “loaned” me likely out of the $99 they charged me in the first place or the $99 they charged someone else. In other words, I’m paying them $149 to borrow $50 from MYSELF or some other poor hapless soul. When I contacted customer service during non business hours I was responded to by a bot and given a 48 hour response wait time. In an email response 2 days later they explained the fee was taken for the membership in the program and when I replied to cancel the membership and take me out of the program I got no response whatsoever. I contacted again this morning only to get another response from a bot and a wait time of another 48 hours. I don’t know why they have so many stars or if anyone truly has received a transfer LOC but if they have it seems Bright is scamming people with lower credit scores to obtain the cash to finance their transfer LOC program.

1/5Probably a good app, but they left a bad impression with me
I’m sure this app is probably good at doing whatever it does, I see many people leaving good reviews. But they messed up with me when I was gett started. I couldn’t put my credit card info since I had misplaced it a while ago and I’ve been waiting for a new one in the mail. Meanwhile, these people never told me, or asked for my permission in withdrawing funds from my personal bank account. I wanted this app to help me pay off my credit cards. But in the time I was waiting for my card in the mail, I started seeing a SEA OF WITHDRAWALS coming out of my personal account. This app started a “smart savings” which is pretty nice, except for the fact that I necer agreed to that. They will simply start taking your money and putting it in the app without your permission or knowledge. I got very upset seeing money taken out, a few dollars at a time, multiple times a day with this app. I no longer want anything to do with this app. Do not mess with people’s money and start taking it unauthorized. There’s already little trust in corporations having our personal information, and I was really pussed off to see you guys meaaing with my money. No thank you. It’s also impossible to delete your account info and even the whole profile itself. I have not found a way to do so and am trying to talk to customer service about this. Be informed before downloading this app.

1/5They Keep Charging Me and They’ve Stolen My Money
Where do I begin? They’re great at taking the money from my account very quickly… then trying to actually get it out to make payments is painful (I’m being nice, as I can’t curse on here). I’ve had a withdrawal pending for over 3 weeks now and they’re still saying it’s “Pending” and then they tell me I need to wait two more business days and it will be there. They said I need to verify my identity. I’ve done it twice. Fast forward another two more business days and surprise! The money is nowhere to be found. Now the support. I think I would get a better customer support from a well trained simian than working with their chat support. They ask a question and I go to look at it to go ahead and get the issue resolved. When I come back to answer, they have closed the chat because I didn’t respond… after a minute. When they asked me to do something for them. Now to their phone support - I called and they say something completely different than the chat. I ask for a supervisor and they say they’re busy and will call me back. Three days have gone by and no call back. I decide I need to stop all withdrawals… they still take the money from my account after I tell the app to stop. I will not be renewing and the problem is that I will probably not get any help from them once I do. They have now stolen money from me and I keep getting the run around. They also keep taking money from me. Run far and fast away from this app. If I could give it no stars I would.

1/5This app unknown charged me a $97 membership fee without my consent
I’m highly disappointed in this app compared to the other loan and credit builder services that are out there. I never agree to $97 membership fee in the first place because 1) this app offers nothing new that similar apps have and 2) I am looking for a loan because I am in an emergency situation being a single mother, domestic violence survivor, while I have a $2000 mortgage, no resources and no support while carrying for a two-year-old and I do not have the funds to even sign up for a membership that I wasn’t even aware that I was signing up for in the first place. I also find it very ironic that this app is asking me for my review when I was just speaking with an AI chat and requesting for this refund to be applied back to my account immediately when the app all of a sudden closes out and I have to get back in it and then a review pops up. Wrong timing. Wrong timing, Bright. I’m dissatisfied and now I’m gonna waste time talking with an AI computer just to request my funds back that I never agreed to nor was I even always aware of a $97 membership fee until he looked at my bank account. If you’re looking for a loan, I don’t suggest this app because they lure you in to charging you after having access to your very private banking information and then take advantage of it. At least this is what they certainly did in my case and I’m not very happy.

This app has hurt my credit not helped it. The credit building program is a farce. Once the initial setup was complete it worked as advertised for a short period and then issue after issue arose. Payments were not going through or saying late when there is no reason for it. Badly reflecting on credit reports. Every time you hit the "paid" balance and it restarts it hits your credit for up to 75 points of a drop. After awhile the credit building section of the app just disappeared completely. I could no longer make manual payments preemptively to prevent the false "late" payments. I couldn't even see what the balance is or manage anything whatsoever. Whenever I would receive an email saying "Payment is overdue" and click the "Pay now" option it would open the app and just take me to the main page as the credit building section has ceased to exist. The customer service is useless as if they don't even know how the app works and have 0 experience. Continuously I have contacted with 0 result. They even try and deflect saying it is other loans or payments affecting your credit not them. I currently have no other credit items reported just them, and my report specifically states that my credit dropping was due to the bright money program. They are either unwilling to help or so incompetent they are unable to. Either way, would never recommend them. Completely awful. Be cautious in doing business with them.

          "body": "I’m sure this app is probably good at doing whatever it does, I see many people leaving good reviews. But they messed up with me when I was gett started. I couldn’t put my credit card info since I had misplaced it a while ago and I’ve been waiting for a new one in the mail. Meanwhile, these people never told me, or asked for my permission in withdrawing funds from my personal bank account. I wanted this app to help me pay off my credit cards. But in the time I was waiting for my card in the mail, I started seeing a SEA OF WITHDRAWALS coming out of my personal account. This app started a “smart savings” which is pretty nice, except for the fact that I necer agreed to that. They will simply start taking your money and putting it in the app without your permission or knowledge. I got very upset seeing money taken out, a few dollars at a time, multiple times a day with this app. I no longer want anything to do with this app. Do not mess with people’s money and start taking it unauthorized. There’s already little trust in corporations having our personal information, and I was really pussed off to see you guys meaaing with my money. No thank you. It’s also impossible to delete your account info and even the whole profile itself. I have not found a way to do so and am trying to talk to customer service about this. Be informed before downloading this app.",

          "title": "They Keep Charging Me and They’ve Stolen My Money",
          "body": "Where do I begin? They’re great at taking the money from my account very quickly… then trying to actually get it out to make payments is painful (I’m being nice, as I can’t curse on here). I’ve had a withdrawal pending for over 3 weeks now and they’re still saying it’s “Pending” and then they tell me I need to wait two more business days and it will be there. They said I need to verify my identity. I’ve done it twice. Fast forward another two more business days and surprise! The money is nowhere to be found. Now the support. I think I would get a better customer support from a well trained simian than working with their chat support. They ask a question and I go to look at it to go ahead and get the issue resolved. When I come back to answer, they have closed the chat because I didn’t respond… after a minute. When they asked me to do something for them. Now to their phone support - I called and they say something completely different than the chat. I ask for a supervisor and they say they’re busy and will call me back. Three days have gone by and no call back. I decide I need to stop all withdrawals… they still take the money from my account after I tell the app to stop. I will not be renewing and the problem is that I will probably not get any help from them once I do. They have now stolen money from me and I keep getting the run around. They also keep taking money from me. Run far and fast away from this app. If I could give it no stars I would.",

          "body": "I’m highly disappointed in this app compared to the other loan and credit builder services that are out there. I never agree to $97 membership fee in the first place because 1) this app offers nothing new that similar apps have and 2) I am looking for a loan because I am in an emergency situation being a single mother, domestic violence survivor, while I have a $2000 mortgage, no resources and no support while carrying for a two-year-old and I do not have the funds to even sign up for a membership that I wasn’t even aware that I was signing up for in the first place. I also find it very ironic that this app is asking me for my review when I was just speaking with an AI chat and requesting for this refund to be applied back to my account immediately when the app all of a sudden closes out and I have to get back in it and then a review pops up. Wrong timing. Wrong timing, Bright. I’m dissatisfied and now I’m gonna waste time talking with an AI computer just to request my funds back that I never agreed to nor was I even always aware of a $97 membership fee until he looked at my bank account. If you’re looking for a loan, I don’t suggest this app because they lure you in to charging you after having access to your very private banking information and then take advantage of it. At least this is what they certainly did in my case and I’m not very happy.",

          "body": "This app has hurt my credit not helped it. The credit building program is a farce. Once the initial setup was complete it worked as advertised for a short period and then issue after issue arose. Payments were not going through or saying late when there is no reason for it. Badly reflecting on credit reports. Every time you hit the \"paid\" balance and it restarts it hits your credit for up to 75 points of a drop. After awhile the credit building section of the app just disappeared completely. I could no longer make manual payments preemptively to prevent the false \"late\" payments. I couldn't even see what the balance is or manage anything whatsoever. Whenever I would receive an email saying \"Payment is overdue\" and click the \"Pay now\" option it would open the app and just take me to the main page as the credit building section has ceased to exist. The customer service is useless as if they don't even know how the app works and have 0 experience. Continuously I have contacted with 0 result. They even try and deflect saying it is other loans or payments affecting your credit not them. I currently have no other credit items reported just them, and my report specifically states that my credit dropping was due to the bright money program. They are either unwilling to help or so incompetent they are unable to. Either way, would never recommend them. Completely awful. Be cautious in doing business with them.",
