5/5Your search is over for the best brewing software
It’s been a few years since I switched from another brewing app to Brewfather and I couldn’t happier. I’m an avid and frequent homebrewer and it was a big decision to switch as I had a lot of batches in my the previous software I was using, but I’m glad that I did. Brewfather has a nice modern interface that maintains parity between the desktop version (web app) and the mobile version. It has great water chemistry tools, a solid brew day timer, and pretty much everything you need to get it done without requiring the use of additional applications. The price is more than reasonable, it’s regularly updated, and the developer is attentive to user questions and requests. Highly recommended!

5/5WHERE HAS THIS SOFTWARE BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?!?!!!
Ok, so first brew with Brewfather under my belt and WHERE HAS THIS SOFTWARE BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?!?!!! It is awesome!! Just like everyone is saying: The UI is stellar. The flow of the brew day is awesome. Tilt integration is very choice. The list goes on... My only 2 complaints: 1. The PC Web browser version crashed 4 or 5 times before I abandoned it and switched to an iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard. When I did that it worked flawlessly and it was apparent to me that this is how it’s designed to be used. I never explored if it might have been the browser I was using (chrome) because I was so tickled with how it worked on the iPad. 2. BeerSmith has product explanations of hops, yeast and malts if you hover over the name. Grainfather does not. I use that a lot when I’m putting together a recipe. Hopefully Brewfather adopts something like that. Before my BeerSmith subscription ends. I’m hooked. Brewfather is far and above the best out there in my opinion and that’s only after one brew.

5/5Excellent brewing app
The first and last brewing app I’ll download. Brewfather checks all the boxes. Love the cloud saving so I can easily brew using my iPad, but also keep track on my phone if I need to move around the house during a mash or boil. Recipe crafting is super easy, and adapting and publishing recipes with the Library rules. Really appreciate how easy it is to auto-scale recipes, keep track of inventory, and save presets. As someone pretty new to the hobby, Brewfather has been a really helpful tool to get going, and makes brewing even more fun. Kudos to the developers for continuing to improve a quality piece of software!

5/5Really the best Homebrew app
I’ve tried most of the brewing software apps/platforms out there. Every time I end up just going back to logging my brew days manually because the software was too cumbersome or didn’t make logical sense. This app has changed that. It is simple and intuitive. It has a great flow from recipe to batch, etc. it works well across all devices since it’s web based/app based. The only issue I run into is the app needs to be open to open on my phone to hear the timer notifications on brew day but this is an iOS limitation not the app. Highly recommended!

5/5Modern, convenient and packed with features
I have been using Brewfather for year. It has a modern UI, that is sleek and easy to use. It is a web app, so you can load it on your phone, tablet and computer and all are in sync for your brew day, which makes it very convenient. This app is loaded with features and it consistently being added and improved. I cannot say how great this app is, one of the few that I give 5 stars to. Truly a well constructed, feature rich app that is worth the money!

2.10.0
Added support for direct integration with Brewtools Cloud With one click from the Brewtools Cloud settings, you can connect to your Brewfather account This allows your recipes and batches to be automatically synchronized and updated automatically on changes in the Brewtools platform. Allow for setting the dilution water amount directly in the mash pH water calculator. The last details are remembered when adding hops allowing quicker addition of similar hops in the recipe designer. Most of the tools have been improved with an auto-save feature remembering the last used values. New tools added: Hop Freshness Calculator - Estimate the remaining acids in the hop depending on storage conditions Gravity Conversion Tool Unit Conversion Tools (volume, weight, temperature, pressure) Updated style guidelines Norbrygg 2022, SHBF 2020 (added to the backend at an earlier date) Added HCO in the PDF print for the water profile When using Plato as an input gravity unit the number of decimals used when calculating ABV% and Final Gravity is increased The default number of b.cells for White Labs yeast is changed to 150 in the yeast calculator Recipe Calculation Engine 1.2: Calculating the recipe color will now always correctly use the Lovibond value of the grain color when present instead of relying on the SRM value (when this is the only data point), this might cause the calculated recipe color to change when you upgrade to this engine version. Manual upgrading of the recipe engine is done to prevent automatically changing vital values of your recipes, protecting the integrity of your recipe data. An automatic upgrade to this recipe version might happen at a later version. Fixed scaling boil hops where recipes have less than a 60-minute boil time Fixed sometimes clicking an active brew tracker in the menu not always taking you to the batch Fixed an issue of calculating hop sums when the unit was oz
