1. 1/5Longtime User Deeply Disappointed by Deceptive Update

   I’ve been using the Boss Revolution international calling app for over five years. While the service has never been flawless, it was at least predictable until the latest update, which introduced a misleading and costly change. The update notes vaguely mention “minor adjustments and bug fixes,” but what they actually did was sneak in a new feature called “Call Setup”. This defaults to “Use Minutes”, meaning calls are routed through your cellular provider instead of the app’s VoIP service. The app claims this provides “excellent quality using your cellular minutes,” but what it really does is bypass the app’s calling system entirely leading to double charges from both Boss Revolution and your mobile carrier. I wasn’t notified of this change, nor did I opt into it. I only discovered it after being hit with hundreds of dollars in unexpected charges. This defeats the entire purpose of using an international calling app, which is supposed to help avoid exorbitant carrier fees. This feels deceptive and borderline malicious. A simple toggle buried in the settings should never override years of user behavior without clear consent or warning. If this is the direction Boss Revolution is heading, I can no longer recommend it to anyone looking for a trustworthy international calling solution.

   I remember in my youth, we had to go out and buy these prepaid credit card size cards from the shops, that allowed you to call families in foreign countries through a 1- 800 or 866 number. Those days are long gone. Sometimes it’s too expensive to change your current phone plan to be able to make international calls. Around 2016 I started having friends in places like Africa. I also have family in the Caribbean.. I used apps like WhatsApp and Viber to connect with them because it was free as long as you had Wi-Fi you can make calls. But it was not reliable at all: many times the call was freeze or had static and would frequently be “reconnecting “also, that relative or friend needed to be in a place that had Wi-Fi to receive my calls. And none of them had Wifi in their homes. That’s when I discovered BOSS Revolution App which allowed me to load money on the app to make calls anywhere in the world. I love this app because it has bridged the gap, connecting me with families and friends with the same $10 that I would use to buy that calling card long ago, to make international calls. You can set the App settings to reload when the funds run low, so you can keep on talking without interruption. Also, Even though that family member or friend may not be in a place where they have Wi-Fi, or they may not have data on their phone to make calls, when I call them through this app, wherever they are, I can connect with them.    I have a PayPal debit card that I charge up because I don't trust companies like this, I wanted to pay for a three dollar sub subscription, I loaded three dollars onto my card, tried to charge my card , instead of just taking the money, first the company put a three dollar authorization on my card. Then they tell me there's not enough funds on my card because they tried to authorize the funds and instead of actually charging them, so then I add another three dollars, then the company charges the three dollars and still doesn't put the three dollar balance on my account how is it possible that you can't even handle the ability for people to buy your service? It's literally not possible to buy your service, your system is literally incapable of actually charging an amount of money and providing the subscription. First you put an authorization, but you don't give the subscription, what's the problem? Then I literally do it again a second time thinking that maybe you need an authorization first in the same amount, then you take the money the second time and you still don't put the money into my account and verify my subscription.

   How do you even suspend a customer account without sending/ texting a notification! Especially one who’s been loyal for over 3yrs! I did a mobile top up for two foreign recipients located in the same place, but the money wasn’t delivered to their phones. I had a notification to wait for at least 2hrs, which turned out into a week without the recipient receiving the top up amount. When they called their local carrier, they were informed there was nothing like a recharge or top up to their accounts. Note that the amount has been charged on my card and shows as pending on available balance. I decided to test this with a minimum amount that wouldn’t hurt if lost, but same 2hr notification showed on my boss revolution app. I called Boss customer care and they recommended for me to call next time whenever I want to do a mobile top up. After about 2weeks thinking I would make a call, the app requires me to verify my phone number and it won’t even accept it. Called the customer care who informed me it’s been suspended because my bank pulled back the charge after I disputed it. I would definitely recommend the support service received with Apps like Keku and Amantel. This is not just how you respond to a disappointed customer. I made sure my household is not using that application.

   Relatives often go abroad, so international calls are an urgent need for me. In order not to look for organizations that provide these services, not to buy a new number to keep in touch, and in order not to waste my precious time, I decided to look on the Internet for services, sites or applications that provide international calls. I have read the full description of the BOSS Revolution app and user reviews. The download took less than one minute. The application is very interesting: here you can communicate with people via international communication, correspond with interlocutors, participate in promotions, transfer funds to other wallets. The application can be used even if the Internet is not connected to the phone. The application loaded quickly, registration takes very little time. I used the services I needed at a very low cost. I also invited friends per whom I was given extra money. Now I communicate with family and friends through the app, but only when they are abroad. Services, functions and promotions - I like all this in this application.
