  1. 4/5Great app for a while, until now. FIX THE BUGS

Had this app for a couple months, was perfect as is, no bugs, no issues. Tracked my workouts, did everything as it should have done, no complaints. Until around late June 2023 or so. Must have been updated, with new features, which are somewhat cool, but introduced a lot of bugs and glitches. One the main ones is refusing to register that a workout has been completed. I would complete a workout, and then my next day is still the same workout I had just completed. The only way to move on from this bug is complete the new “fake” workout and then deleting it. Only then can I proceed with the next workout. It’s not impossible to do, but just annoying, and messes with the user experience significantly. This occurred multiple times, I hope I was the only one who experienced this because I do not wish the same experience on others who just want to start/end a workout.

  2. 5/5Dark mode, weekly reports, and form

I was overjoyed to see that the developers of Boostcamp had now made dark mode free. This has greatly enhanced my user experience especially since I already have eye problems. I am also a big fan of the weekly reports as they do a great job at letting me know the specific volume I do for each muscle group. I also appreciate that if you need a little help remembering the correct form for an exercise you need only look at it within the app. My one suggestion would be to allow users who are not coaches more liberty on the program creation such as variations and being able to make more programs. Overall I’ve really enjoyed all the features on this app and I hope the developers continue to listen to user feedback.

  3. 5/5I love the app but

I’ve been using this app for 2 years to log my workouts and it’s been a huge help for me like immensely without it I would’ve been lost in the gym. I love this app so much it’s been such a great help to track what I’m doing to see if I improve and or get stronger but there’s this one bug that I hate and it’s so annoying. Whenever I complete a workout or just press complete workout and don’t log anything to skip to the next day it just freezes and I have to shut out of the app and reopen it all the time or it just happens whenever I press complete workout or I’m done it just freezes at the “share w your friends” or the part where you look at what muscles you hit and you gotta press done for or ok in the top right corner to move on. But other than that I love this app and it’s been a huge help to me.

  4. 3/5Great app, some features don’t work

I love this app for tracking my lifts and staying in a routine. It does a lot of things right. But there are some very annoying “bugs” you could say. First when I try to edit a daily routine that I created, I try to duplicate it to the rest of the days after editing it but it does not duplicate. Very frustrating since I have to go and manually change every single day for my 16 week program. Also when editing in desktop It doesn’t allow me to change my “minutes” into “seconds” when entering how long I would like to perform an exercise. I can only do that on mobile. Isn’t a huge deal but creating routines is much easier on desktop and having to switch to mobile just to change that one thing is annoying. Would like to see these things changed because again I love the app just want better quality of life.

  5. 5/5The best workout app

Let me start by saying I’ve tried many things. Notebooks, excel, other apps, etc… for extended periods of time before finding Boostcamp. This is the only app I’ve stuck to and used consistently, 5 days a week for… most of 3 years, since Jan 2024. Ive used the paid version for nearly 1 yr. The free version is more than good enough, but the paid version allows for more customization. This app is great for a couple of reasons. First it promotes consistency, and second it promotes personal investment in working out. How: a routine paired with intuitive tracking of progress takes all the guess work out of the gym. This is coming from someone who works 12 hour days and rarely knows what day it even is. This app rules because I go into the gym and just click start on whatever day is next in my routine. Set it and forget it. As for personal investment in the grind, this app motivates you by allowing you to change up YOUR routine and record YOUR progress… it gives YOU ownership and makes it easy instead of the focus being a product or fitness influencer.. it makes it about you. Then on top of that the app rewards you, when you make a PR it tells you, when you finish a workout it tells you. When you are consistent it tells you. It leverages our human propensity for rewards. Lastly the team is great. I had an issue with access and they helped me get it sorted out within hours. They have amazing user support which is unheard for imo for applications.
