  1. 4/5Blood pressure LOG, not readings

Just a note to people who might download this app: while it’s interesting for pulse taking, the advertising copy that I received emphasized blood pressure and didn’t make it clear that it was just a log, a digital diary to input blood pressure readings. So for those of you who have an Apple Watch as I do, this app really doesn’t provide anything above that. Not a bad app and does what it does… Just not a blood pressure taking app, and while that’s clear on this application’s description in the App Store, it was less clear in their advertising.

  2. 1/5MISLEADING ADVERTISING AND DENIED REFUND!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others before they waste their money the way I did. I purchased this app for $39 because the advertising clearly gives the impression that it can measure blood pressure by placing your finger over your phone’s camera. The screenshots and promotional images strongly suggest that the app can provide actual blood pressure readings using the phone alone. That’s what convinced me to buy it. After purchasing and installing the app, I quickly discovered that it does not actually do what the advertisement led me to believe it could do. The marketing and the actual functionality are two very different things. As soon as I realized this, I immediately requested a refund. My request was denied. I then appealed the decision, explaining that the advertising was misleading and that I purchased the app based on those claims. That appeal was also denied. So now I’m out $39 for an app that did not deliver what its advertising appeared to promise. My biggest concern isn’t even the money. It’s that other consumers may see the same advertisements, believe the same claims, and end up making the same mistake. Health-related apps should be especially clear and transparent about what they can and cannot do. Consumers should not have to discover the limitations only after paying. If you’re considering buying this app because you think your phone camera can accurately measure your blood pressure simply by placing your finger over it, I strongly encourage you to do extensive research first and read the fine print carefully. I wish I had.

  3. 1/5FEES FOR EVERYTHING

I see the ad on my Google Preview Screen about the Blood Pressure Monitor and Heart Rate now available through an App. So, I go with download the App, getting started, it’s asking a few questions to get to know me when I take my Blood Pressure to see where the number is morning and evening. And Bam, Free Trial and Subscription Fees to use the App. I know the developers have to get paid for their work on the App and to launch it for device users to have something accessible and easy. If there were other features that I maybe interested in then I would consider purchasing a subscription level for my needs and how it will service me. We knew nothing is free in this world but just getting the App started and hit with fees. This is why I stopped with the Apps. Soon you will have to pay just to download it.

  4. 5/5High Heart Rate

As part of my job of getting older, I have had certain things I’ve had to take, give and accept even though I don’t care to; however, as life would have it, I’ve had to do them. Taking my own blood pressure was one of them. No, I don’t have to sit a long time and NO, it can be any time of the day; but. It is just the fact that I have to slow down a few minutes which I don’t like to do. I’ve found this App to be easily explained and easy to execute for the desired number is there. I like ALL the additional parts of this App too!

  5. 1/5Misleading Marketing at Its Worst

The Hook: A False Promise This app is marketed with bold, high-tech claims: "Your iPhone now supports blood pressure monitoring" and "Blood pressure for Apple Watch." For anyone looking to manage their cardiovascular health, this sounds like a revolutionary breakthrough. The advertising leads you to believe that by simply using the sensors on your phone or watch, you can get an instant systolic and diastolic reading. The Reality: A Manual Logbook in Disguise The deception only becomes clear once you’ve already downloaded the app or dug deep into the FAQ, where it explicitly states: "No, the app does not measure blood pressure. You can manually log these values after measuring them with a compatible device." There is a massive difference between monitoring (the act of measuring) and tracking (the act of typing in numbers). This app is essentially a digital notebook that charges you for a feature your iPhone’s built-in "Health" app already provides for free. The Trap: Financial Friction The most frustrating part of this experience isn't just the misleading "bait-and-switch" marketing—it’s the difficulty of getting your money back. Even after canceling immediately upon realizing the app cannot perform the physical task of measuring blood pressure, Apple’s refund system often denies these claims because "the app functions as described" in the fine print. Final Verdict Do not download this app. It preys on users' health concerns with deceptive wording. Currently, no iPhone or standard Apple Watch has the hardware required (like an inflatable cuff or specialized optical sensors) to measure blood pressure directly. • Pros: None. • Cons: Deceptive advertising, redundant features, and a near-impossible refund process.
