  1. 5/5Excellent app to keep track of blood pressure.

If I would just take my medicine when I should, I would hope to have better results. But this app is great. It keeps track of your history, gives you your average bp over a time period of your choosing. It also allows you to list your weight and enter a note - for example, if you want to mention that you just finished running a few miles - hence the higher than normal bpm. It also exports the information to your health app on the iPhone and backup the data to iCloud. It even warns you when your bp is to high or low. This program has helped me a lot for my bp was all over the place and I’ve got a better handle on it now. Highly recommended!

  2. 1/5What happened to my purchased app features?

I have been using this app quite happily since 2017 (I checked). I know that I have paid for the pro version of the app because I always wanted the ability to enter my data onto either my iPhone or my iPad. Lately I have been using my iPhone exclusively so I haven’t noticed any changes. But tonight when I went to enter my data onto my iPad, there was nothing there. I tried to restore my purchase - but that failed. I tried again and again it failed. This is very odd. I came to the App Store and found a few reviews that talked about the same problem. The developer has seemingly cancelled my purchase of the app. The other reviewers have talked about it becoming a subscription app but I have not seen that mentioned yet. And I certainly have not received any correspondence from the developer regarding them cancelling my purchase! I notice that the developer has not responded to any of the other reviews that have complained about their purchase being cancelled, so I am under no illusion that I’m going to get a response, either. But I will be taking it up with Apple. It used to be a five star app. The app probably still is. But the behaviour of the developer has changed the rating for this app from five stars to one star. And if it was possible to go lower than one star, then that’s what I would be giving it. Disgraceful behaviour.

  3. 5/5Perfect for me, very easy to use

I use this app daily to monitor my BP which I was unaware had risen to dangerously high levels until detected during a routine doctor’s appointment 18 months ago and I was put on meds for it. I am now off the meds, have made improvements to my diet and lifestyle, and am keeping tabs on my levels with a home BP cuff. I used the free BP Monitor app initially for a couple of weeks, then ultimately purchased the advert-free version. The peace of mind of not being caught off guard again by ‘the silent killer’ is worth it. It’s also helpful to show my doctor my progress, and it syncs my BP/HR data with my iPhone’s Health app. I would recommend this app to anyone.

  4. 1/5Backup and restore not reliable

This app used to do what I needed it to do, but no longer. I enter my BP readings on my iPhone 7, Save and Backup to iCloud with the intention of restoring on my iPad (6th generation). All of my software is up-to-date and my settings are as Maxwell Software recommends. When I try to restore my data to the iPad, the most recent data is not in the Backup History, e.g., today is 20 October 2018 and the most recent available data is from 15 October 2018. It’s not possible for me to know when my data will eventually appear in the Backup History. Very frustrating forcing me to look for a new BP recording app. Maxwell Software has tried to be helpful but it is obvious that they are unable to solve this problem that has been going on for many months. At one time I was very pleased with this app but I can no longer recommend it or give it a positive review.

  5. 5/5Great well-designed app

My wife and I take our BP, HR and bodyweight once a week and record it using this app. We’ve now done this for over two years and appreciate having the data at our fingertips when we visit our docs. My high blood pressure at the outset of our use of this app led me to change my eating significantly. It was supportive and encouraging to see my weekly heart stats and bodyweight lower significantly over time using this app. Would like to see an ability to display a summary of stats over a multi year period of use rather than the current one year limit.
