1. 5/5My "Go to" Bible

   Since the days of Palm, Blackberry and other PDA's, it's amazing that there are literally dozens of different translations and dozens of different commentaries available at ones fingertips. Olive Tree's app is easy to access and easy to use (and this by someone not the least bit tech savvy), with their Resource Guide handily cross referencing Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, and other reference materials... even one's personal notes. I use it for my individual Bible study/daily devotions, and my husband uses it in far more detail and depth for his sermon prep.. It can be as simple or complex as someone wants to make it, and there is no lack of choices in Olive Tree's library. It moves a bit more smoothly than Laridian, is far simpler to navigate that Accordance, and is more affordable than Logos... One thing to note... When you purchase books, I recommend you always go through their website instead of buying them through the app... 1. If there's a problem you can return the book for a full refund, 2. You can earn points and get discounts... One thing I would improve... The search engine... When a word or phrase is searched, it only searches the book that is open... (As opposed to Laridian which will search your entire library...) After using a number of computer programs, PDA and other Bible apps for years, I find that Olive Tree is the app I start with, end with, and use the most in between...

2. 5/5Continuing to be very thankful for this app

   My use of this app goes back to Palm Pilot days, and I am very happy with what it provides. The functionality is great, free, and constantly being improved over the years. Some translations and resources are available free, although I do find that making some personal investments (especially during sales) has increased its usefulness to me. I really value the hyperlinks that allow you to tap on a Bible reference in a cross reference, or a commentary and to see a pop up window with the verse come up, fully scrollable to see context as far as you want to go. I also appreciate the ability to "write in your Bible", being able to put a note anywhere. And if I put a cross reference in my notes the hyperlink will bring up the pop up window when I tap on it just like in a regular cross reference. I really like the Greek and Hebrew in the Strong's versions of some Bible translations. When I have needed to use customer support over the years, they have been great, very helpful. There are some things to learn in using the app, and the built in help is supplemented by the instructional videos they send links to in their occasional emails. I like and use the daily reading function, but find I have to click through a number of steps in the menu when going from one day to another. Very little not to like in this app, as far as I am concerned. Very thankful for this app and the ministry Olive Tree provides. I use Olive Tree on MacBook, iPad and iPhone formats and love how the resources and notes I make on one show up in the others. I really consider the iPad to be my go-to for everyday use.

3. 5/5The most significant application you will ever load.

   I got a slow start on this app. I couldn’t get over reading a device while in church. Well for the past several months I have forced myself into this app. I figured; Hey I paid for this IPAD I mint as well use it! Know I can’t move without my IPAD, not for games, email or text, its for this Olive Tree Bible App. I can’t tell you how often a thought comes to mind and I can pop into the app and check it out. I have all the Life Applications Bibles set plus several other translations, dictionary, commentaries, Name, just everything. My Bible study has increased and best of all my understanding has increased. I love the Highlights which will highlight All my bibles at the same time.q hey Siri I love the ability to read two translations at the same time. I love to have the Strongs Version open while reading the Message Bible or NLT Bible. I love how my notes save to the OT web site AND my every notes. I love how I can organize my notes under topics with their own icons. I love the history button where I can quickly jump back to versus I was just reading. I love to be able to take sermon notes and attach to the verse. Sorry I can go on and on and on about this app. As I said this Application is the most significant application you will ever load or use. Spend Time In the Bible Every Day! ...

4. 5/5A great help in my daily Bible study!

   I love the Olive Tree app and use it each morning in my time of Bible study. It’s so dependable, which is not the case with all Bible apps, and it is so easy to use. Finding books of the Bible or specific verses is clear, and I can compare translations if I want. I can find out the meaning of words that may be unfamiliar, or see what Bible scholars have to say about specific passages. I’ve been using Olive Tree for years, so now i can look up favorite passages as well as read notes I made in the past, or add to them. This helps me see what I was thinking about a passage in the past, and especially helps me quickly find passages that meant a lot to me before. I have my own Bible study plan, but I appreciate that Olive Tree offers reading plans, which are a great help when someone wants to be faithful to reading scripture but needs guidance and support. A reading plan has been a companion to me over the years and I’m sure is a big reason I have been able to follow through with my goal of daily Bible study. And if something keeps me from reading on one day, I just read the passages for the previous day or days and then the one for the present day, which strengthens my awareness of God’s Presence and Guidance. I hope that Olive Tree will be such a support to others who want to stay close to God’s word.

5. 5/5Nothing else compares. Its the bible app you always wanted.

   I’ve been using this app for several years now. I love the resources that tag to verses. I learn so much more with the commentaries and dictionaries I’ve purchased over the years. One new feature (or new to me) is the audio piece. Dear developer and who ever thought this up, THANK YOU!! I had been buying audio bibles by the book in iBooks ( way more expensive) because all audio bibles go by track numbers. -which drove me absolutely nuts! But you actually made it not only down to the book but to the verse! That was worth buying the complete audio bible all over again. Even in the iBooks, the smaller books were often lumped together so it was hard to simply listen to say Galatians. Best of all, I carry an entire library with me in my pocket where ever I go. I love to dig into the historical meaning of scripture. Especially when I don't understand something. This app lets me cross reference dozens of books in an instant and get a better understanding of it. This is great for those extra content study bibles like archeology study bible or thomspons chain reference. I dont have to worry about buying the right version of those now. I can point the study notes to what ever version I feel like reading. I still have a physical copy of the bible. But it collects dust now. This app is my go-to. Way to go for a superior app. Keep up the awesome work!
