1. 4/5With this app you’ll be deceived and pay more to park

   *****UPDATE*****A few weeks after leaving this review I received an email from the app customer service dept letting me know they investigated my complaint and saw that I overpaid because the garage did not qualify my vehicle as an oversize. They issued a refund in the amount I was overcharged. I must say that it’s nice to know they care about their customers and their experiences. It has made me reconsider using the service again***** I generally in the past have used this app to find a parking garage in various cities while traveling. Until recently I never reserved and paid for a garage through the app. I had a business trip in NYC for 3 days so I decided to park near the venue and prepay, The app quoted me $79 for an 8 hour day or $71 for 24hrs, so of course I kept the car in the garage the full 3 days to save some money. My total was billed at $213 However when I went to pick up my car, the cashier took my parking ticket and rang me up at $168. While my scanned parking pass showed I prepaid, I also was able to learn I overpaid by $45. Not cool and won’t be using this app again

2. 3/5Beware of last minute cancellations!

   I was excited to give this app a try. It’s rated well and makes finding a parking spot simple. However, once I book a spot I should not have to worry about losing it. The first time I used this app, I booked a spot on a Thursday for a Saturday event. I paid, the order was confirmed, and I was told I was all set. I even received an email confirming my spot. On Saturday (the day of the event), I received an email telling me that due to an error on their part, the price was wrong and they had canceled my order. Unfortunately, I was busy on Saturday and didn’t have a chance to check my email until an hour or so before the event. The email explained that they had sold it to me for a lower price by mistake and it could no longer be honored. They offered a $5 coupon which in the end meant the price would be just $10 more. I’m not a customer relations expert, but if the mistake is on their end, you’d think they’d honor the price they sold it at and not cause the customer the stress of finding another spot at the last minute. Most places do that and it leaves a positive impression with the customer. This last minute cancellation (because of their own price error) could have caused me a lot of trouble as the event was highly attended and parking was almost all filled up around the venue. Luckily I found another spot. I hope a $10 price difference was worth permanently losing a customer to them as I will not be using this service anymore. When I book a spot, I need to be able to rely on it.

3. 3/5Don’t know what happened

   I purchase parking in the app. Went to go pick up my car and present the pass to the parking attendant. I look in the “my parking” section of the app and the man looks at my phone and “says you went to the wrong garage.” Lo and behold I look down and see the parking pass isn’t in the app. So I say to myself I thought I paid in advance but I guess I didn’t. So I paid 19 bucks. I get in the car and say to my wife “I know I pre paid for parking”. I look in my email and there it was, the parking pass for today. I tell the attendant I found my most recent pass and can I have a refund? He says no and tells me I have to call the app. So I call parkwhiz and they are working on getting me a refund. My question is where was my most recent parking pass? Why was it not in the app? I’ve been an extremely loyal user of this app for im guessing at least 10 yrs and nothing has ever happened to me like this

4. 1/5AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

   What a CROCK!!! Supposedly bought VIP parking for a Counting Crows venue in Charlotte cause I wanted a faster getaway after the concert. However, when I showed up no one knew anything about the parking pass I presented and I was told this company just sells parking and doesn’t verify if the lot will accommodate the request. There were no spots in the lot and the attendant told me I had to go park in the garage, which I did and then had to pay again!! Contacted support and they said I had to provide proof I paid for parking before they could give me a refund?!?! What?!?! You mean to tell me there is no way this company can see if the supposed parking passes they sell have been redeemed??? So I had to park in the garage and then after the concert had to wait an hour to get out, which I was trying to avoid. Just another app trying to cash grab and screw over the consumer, and their customer service only wants to inconvenience me more…no thanks!! You got me and stole my money this time, but I’ll just go on a social media onslaught to ensure no other people fall victim to your scam!!!

5. 1/5Do not trust this App-false pretenses

   Every time I have used this app it turns into a nightmare! I pay in advance, go to the garage, there is no way to validate the pre-paid ticket when there isn’t an attendant on site or an automated process to validate the ticket. So I have to pay the going rate at the time - i double paid in the end. After three days of trying to get my refund, I got it but not for the amount (20% more) i paid directly to the garage. So what is the value of this app if in the end one pays the going rate anyway? Geez nobody needs this kind of hassle when supposedly it is all by saving time and money! Also, telephone and text support teams with ParkWhiz ( Best Parking) are a waste of time and require redundant steps. They say they’ll call you back when you’re time is up in the queue but that was not at all the case, they just put me on hold for another 20 minutes, I had to go their this twice and still never got anyone on the phone. Perhaps email is best who knows, or just find a better more reliable app. Life should be more simple than this…
