5/5Love it but i have a problem..
Bereal is a really fun app that I would say I use pretty often. I don’t have any complaints accept for this one teeny tiny thing, but its still agitating. If you have bereal you know that there are groupchats or whatever, and they show at the top of your “my freinds” page. There is a max of two groups i believe but i have no problem with that. The problem is my groupchats have been working perfectly fine for the last couple of months or so. And the other day I opened up the app and saw that they had just completely dissapeared from my feed. I just thought it was nothing and closed out the app and reopened it. It still didnt appear so i just left it alone and figured it would come back whenever. After like a day or so I kept getting the notifications that it was time to post my bereal to the groups but when I would click on the notifications to try to open up the groups, it would just take me to my feed, and the groupchats wouldn’t be there. I looked it up and saw a handfull of people also had this problem. I saw some solutions listed like “clear your cache” “restart your phone” “delete the app and redownload it” ect. I tried all of these things, and still nothing. My phone didnt have the clear your cache option, but that might be just my phone, i dont know. I also didnt want to log out, just because i was scared i wouldn’t be able to log back in. But I really don’t know. Other than this problem I don’t have much to complain about. Sorry for such a long reveiw!!

DEVELOPERS PLEASE READ!!!! I have been waiting and waiting for about a year for my verification text. I have all the newest updates. My phone is nice and I’ve never had any problems with it!!! I try to do my verification text about every day but it never works!!!! I love the idea of this app and ALL of my best friends have it! It’s a great app i just wish i could use it. Really great app but this makes me so mad. I really want this app to work so please fix it!!! I always put in the right phone number and I even tried to reach out to customer service once but it did not work. Please please please PLEASE fix this. I love this app and it would make me incredibly sad if it never works. This is how it is on my sisters phone too! We have all had accounts before then when we try to sign back in it does this! Please look deeper into this. Thank you for reading my review and I’m begging you, please fix this. UPDATE- it’s been about 2 years now or more and I definitely do recommend this app, it’s a great idea but I’m still experiencing the same issue. I have tried everything I can. I’ve waited and I’ve deleted and reinstalled. I’ve restarted my phone. Please fix this issue as for I’m sure it happening to many others. Thank you for reading this and I hope you have a great day! Hello! I am going to be telling you the pros and cons about getting this for your children/child. Here are some pros: First and foremost, it is a social media app for kids so it is safe for kids from ages 10-15 to use. Another pro is they get to talk through images and comments and titles for your friends only, and they can add friends. Although it might seem like a distraction for kids, it actually gets them in the habit of checking their phone so for example, say they were out with friends and they checked their phone because they didn’t know it was on silent and you texted him/her/other, they will get it thinking it is bereal. and when they see it is you they will respond. Last but not least for pros, you can see what your friends and family are doing and the bereal.! goes off every 24 hours and if you get it don’t before 2 minutes you can post 2 more. So, for the cons, first I have had some issues where kids are posting their phone numbers which is not ok and if they are friends with someone they don’t know and thought it would be cool to add them, they were in the wrong and now that person, if not a good, they have your child’s phone number and can do many bad things with that number. Next we have a option on the app where you can edit your account, and there is one saying “Where I live” and many kids put that which is severely bad. If you do end up letting your kids have this like I did, just make sure to check every few days their friends and ask who is that? or what is that? and always check their account to see if they put down where they lived. That notification means it’s the time of the day you take a photo and it’s not always the same time so then u can see what people are doing at different times ! And when u take a photo of yourself and/or friend(s) it takes another photo but on the opposite camera so like the back of you phone ! You can use BeReal on an iPad,iphone,phone and take photos ! You can even react to your friends BeReal by simply take a photo on which emoji u want for example if there BeReal is funny u can react with the funny reaction of a picture of you! You can see how other people have reacted to you’re friends BeReal ! I have found BeReal such a fun thing to look up to do everyday! And if you post your BeReal right when you get your notification you can post two more one more today or two tomorrow or one tomorrow one today you can only post your extra one before your next one goes off!! There’s a year recap we’re all the photos you’ve took make one year recap in one vid ! i saw someone say that the mentality of instagram is coming over where people post late when they have something else planned which kinda ruins the whole “be real moment”…..SO i have an idea that mighttttt help with people posting their real selves (obv if they want to). a points system!!!! i feel like people will be more edgar to post knowing that if they get points if they upload during the 2 mins they’ll more likely post on time. ik not everyone is always on their phone and does try to be real most of time, so maybe like 10 points if they hit it in the 2 mins alert, 5 points if it’s within that 10 mins, 3 points if it within 1 hour, 2 points if it’s within 2 hour, and 1 point if it’s with 3 hour??? i feel like this system doenst seem too bad. it like snap score but instead of constantly snapping, u should keep it real and post when the alert is given. obviously not everyone care about points but this may be a nice strategy to somewhat stop this “instagram” movement. ALSOOOOO!!!!! pls make a new feature that keeps at captions in the memories. i would have funny captions but since they don’t save in the memories, i forget what i had. i wish i can go back and see what i said on that day. ANOTHER SUGGESTION !!! pls pls pls make a new update where u can keep the caption and comments on ur memories. i lose track of who commented and my friend asked me did i see their comment the other day but i didn’t and they also kinda forgot too and since it was time for a new be real we will never know now. SO IF THIS IS A NEW FEATURE THAT WOULD BE AWESOME

Absolutely love this app, even with all the changes over the years. But nicotine product ads are an absolute no-go. Nicotine is toxic. If they don't go away, I'm going to delete this app forever. BeReal needs to stop pedaling poison.
