  1. 5/5Turn something ordinary into a small moment of appreciation.

Bauhaus Clock is one of those rare apps that turns something as ordinary as checking the time into a small moment of appreciation. Every element feels carefully balanced, from the proportions of the dial to the movement of the hands. The design stays true to the Bauhaus philosophy, where simplicity and function work together without sacrificing beauty. What I enjoy most is watching the hands sweep across the face. The animation is so smooth and deliberate that it feels less like a digital display and more like a finely tuned mechanical instrument. There’s a subtle sense of weight and precision to the movement, almost as if gears and springs are working behind the glass. Many clock apps simply display the time. Bauhaus Clock creates the impression of a crafted object. The attention to detail, restrained color palette, and thoughtful motion make it feel like you’re looking at a beautifully engineered timepiece rather than pixels on a screen. It’s a small app, but one that demonstrates how great design can elevate even the simplest experience.

  2. 5/5Beautiful Design and Craftsmanship

Day-one purchase for me, and this is actually my first time writing an App Store review. Not a complaint — just a couple of minor observations regarding the app icon in dark mode: 1. It uses a true black background instead of the darker grey-to-black gradient style recommended by Apple. I understand this is likely intentional to reflect the app’s UI and aesthetic, but at times it can feel slightly out of place alongside other Home Screen icons. 2. The icon details (clock hand and numbers) always use the blue (lagoon) color, even when changing the app icon color. It might feel more cohesive if the dark icon also reflected the selected light-mode icon color. 5 out of 5 regardless — excellent work.

  3. 5/5Just What I Expected - Beautiful!

I’ve been a user of the Bauhaus Clock for desktop and it’s beautiful. When I saw the app was now available for iPhone and iPad, I made the purchase without hesitation. The clock looks wonderful on both iPad and iPhone. The new dual clock feature is gorgeous as well. Whatever else Atilla has in the pipeline of apps, count me in! 499 stars!

  4. 5/5A Work of Art

The attention to detail is unlike any app I have ever interacted with. Atilla is a super nice guy too! Very responsive with any questions I had and took the time to explain everything thoroughly.

  5. 5/5Great

One minor request: option to make the second hand visible in dark mode. Also what about an Apple Watch face?

Versions

App Store

  • 1.0
  • 1.0.1

    • Refined the app icon for an even cleaner visual finish.

  • 1.0.2

    • Fixed a Dual Time layout issue on iPhone Air. Clocks now sit perfectly clear of the Dynamic Island.

  • 1.0.3

What's new in this version: - Time zones with half- or quarter-hour offsets now display correctly in Dual Time. For example, India (+5:30) and Nepal (+5:45) now show the exact offset instead of rounding to the nearest hour. - UTC is now available as an option in the selection list. Enjoying Bauhaus Clock? A review would mean a lot. Thank you, Atilla

  • 1.1 · 11 Jun 2026

Bauhaus Clock 1.1 is here. The goal has always been the best clock on the App Store. This update is a big step toward it. NEW FEATURES Dial Shuffle New toggle in Settings. When enabled, every time you return to the app the clock surprises you with a new dial and lume combination. The Home Screen widget shuffles too, always showing you the upcoming color. Auto Mode Options The automatic switch between Day and Night now comes with three new options: - Follow System: mirrors your device's Light/Dark appearance. - Sunset to Sunrise: switches at your actual local sunrise and sunset, calculated from your location. - Time Schedule: switch at times you define. World Clock Widget New single clock widget. Set it to any city and see its time, city name, and offset from your local time on the dial. IMPROVEMENTS & BUG FIXES StandBy Mode Widget Options New StandBy menu on the Local Time and World Clock widgets. Choose from six dedicated appearances: Silver Hands, Amber, Lagoon, Tritium Green, Yellow, White. Dual Time widget now includes a city picker when not synced to the app. Fixed a rendering issue for widgets on Home Screens with Clear or Tinted theme. If you're enjoying Bauhaus Clock, a review means a lot to me. Please reach out at [email protected] for feedback or suggestions. I'd love to hear from you. Thank you, Atilla
