  1. 5/5One of my most valued business apps

This app is exactly what I’ve been needing. It quickly decides, parses, and analyzes GS1 barcodes. This gives me the ability to quickly analyze my product labels so that I can ensure my medical device and pharmaceutical labels are correct and my downstream customers can read them accurately. My only request is that I would like the option to export the report to PDF.

  2. 1/5Complete garbage!

This app is a complete waste of money. It basically stole $20.00 It did the same thing a ton of free apps did. It scanned my barcode and “pinged” gave my the product identification number you can see on the UPC, and did nothing else! No other information was found in it, it didn’t score it, it doesn’t tell me it will work, it doesn’t do anything else. None of the the other 4 features worked. The “AI-Liste” has a white box to the right that puts white writing in it you can’t read, and the best part... it didn’t validate or send me anything. The instructions are garbage, there is no information about how any of it works.

  3. 1/5Has potential

My free Cognex app, while it doesn’t provide a grade, scans barcodes almost all the time (even when they are photos from my manufacturing sites). So far I have only gotten this app to scan and grade one barcode. I look at a lot of barcodes, all of which are GS1. I agree with another reviewer, I feel cheated out of $20. Stick with something software based to ensure you are meeting GS1 and ISO standards.

  4. 5/5GS1 DataMatrix

I got this app several years ago when my company went to the GS1 Datamatrix format. It’s been very reliable in quickly scanning and deciphering these barcodes. I have a lot of subcontractors that have had to learn how to print GS1 data matrix barcodes as well. I’ve found the reports the app generates very useful in communicating label issues to these suppliers. I use the app to scan physical labels, pictures of labels, photocopied labels, and label images on my monitors. It works well. Only trouble is when a subcontractor provides a really low grade scan of a barcode, but this is not the apps fault. I think the app works great for its entended purpose.
