  1. 5/5Very simple and easy to use

I love this app so much! I am slowly building a small baking business and this has helped so much with exact measurements. It's also very screen reader friendly, which isn't common in these types of apps, so a very important factor for me as a blind baker.

  2. 4/5Please, so much potential I would gladly pay for

It’s pretty good as is, but just needs a little more flexibility. This app is going to help me keep track of baking experiments, and I’m very excited about that. I did immediately meet what seems like a big shortcoming. When using the yield tool, what I’m most likely doing is trying to re-portion the recipe to just make 2 cupcakes or whatever. The results in this case are useless, offering things in 1/12 of a cup, or 1/16 tsp. It will always return the new measurement in the same scale as the original measurement, which is unusable without one by one converting them to weight measurements, which is tedious when looking to permutate a recipe 12 different ways. There are some other minor gripes, but that’s the main one. It’s really a remarkably nice app considering it’s free. It’s just a shame that you’ll need to invest time into it to get your recipes in the system, but then the system is limited in some really frustrating ways. I’d gladly pay $5-$10 for a more robust version of this exact app, especially if it were partially geared toward tracking baking experiments.

  3. 2/5Minimal usefulness as a recipe calorie calculator

I downloaded this for the recipe calorie calculator. Most of the ingredients for my first recipe were not in the app (peanut butter, rolled oats, cocoa nibs, flax seed meal, coconut) so I entered them all manually including the calories/100g, which I had to calculate manually. I input the recipe - it does have a very convenient feature for entering quantities - and when I pressed calculate, it had no calories for all of the ingredients I had so painstakingly calculated and entered. Total waste of time. In all fairness, if you are only using the ingredients included in the app, it seems to work well.

  4. 4/5Almost 5 stars

Truly a helpful and easy to use kitchen tool. Would be even better if it had a simple and direct calculator in the “converters” section to get equivalency ratios. Currently you have to use the “Limiting” or “yield” tools to build that calculation. Would be nice to be able to just plug in numbers and press a “calculate” button to get a missing variable. Still, Bake-u-lator is a really good, reliable app.

  5. 5/5JUST WHAT I NEEDED!

Just what everyone everywhere needs all the time, actually. A perfect way to swap out ingredients for what you have on hand or what available at the market. No searching the internet with varying answers popping up, no guesswork, just simple and calculated perfection. Would recommend highly.
