5/5Wish we could go straight to the Writings
Edit: Two years ago I wrote the review below. Since then, I have been regretting any harsh tone in my statements, and I want to share my deep appreciation for what you have done to create this beautiful tool for studying the Writings. ———— Thank you for all the work done to make this app. It seems the "contact the developer" link is not currently working, so I thought I'd write a review until I can contact them directly again. The more recent updates of this app make you look at an ad for another Baha'i Writings app, or a page asking you to support the app monetarily, before continuing to the Writings. I imagine that the experience of using the app would be less jarring and more spiritual if you weren't forced to look at these pages. It makes me reluctant to open the app because I know I'll have to see them instead of heading straight for the Book I have been reading. Aiming for being pleasing to people's spirits may lead to more monetary contributions than having the page requesting money pop up. Thanks again for creating this study tool.

I downloaded this app a while ago and honestly forgot about it when I was reading more prayers through prayer books. But due to constantly being on the go! I have made it my new favorite on the road tool. I use it everywhere. In my car, at work, at home when I want to find specific categories quicker. It’s just so helpful.

Trying to get past the subscription advertisements is hard enough, but sometimes, while I’m reading a selection I’ll decide that I need to see something else, and, on my iPad, I’ll discover that I can only continue on the selection I’m in, not go back to the menu, not even double check which book I’m in. The breadth of the available Writings is wonderful, swimming in this Mighty Ocean is awe inspiring, but trying to get around is almost like I’m dragging a weight rather than swimming freely. Please bring this program up to the promise it sometimes shows us.

4/5Love it!! One tiny thing...
This is a wonderful app that fulfills a very special purpose in my life. I’m writing to let the developer know that there’s a small graphical glitch on the iPhone X and XS - the date and time on the top of the screen, next to the notch, overlay the text of the Writings at the top of the screen because the top bar of the app is too small on these phones. Should be a quick fix, and I know the developer is wonderfully proactive with updates! Thanks so much for this app, I look forward to seeing what else you have planned!

There is not one day that goes by & I do not use this sight 👌🏽, I just hope you can add the Star of the West series too :) Dear One Ocean , i have been enjoying this app & I have been referring it to friends & families, but today there is something wrong with the app, something does not jive 🤔🤷♀️, I wanted to bring it to your attention, just in case someone is hacking this wonderful app ?? I am excited to design and craft a more befitting interface for this App in the near future. In the meantime it is important that One Ocean remains usable in its fullest with this incredible new device. [+] Added yet another new and wonderful message of the beloved Universal House of Justice Again, thank you for your support. The subscriptions quickly became an essential element of working on this and other similar projects. Only with your subscription and one off purchase have we been able to continue our service project and provide this tool to immerse in the sacred Ocean of His Word. It is always a matter of just scratching the survival of this project but our wish is to advance it and create more Baha'i related software. Thanks to some user feedback I was able to identify and eliminate a bug with the automatic bookmark system. Other than that I added 6 messages of our Beloved Universal House of Justice. - 15 January 2009 - 24 November 2009 - 23 June 2009 - 11 June 2009 - 19 May 2009 - 17 May 2009 One Ocean is ever expanding towards becoming the most complete mobile reference library for the english speaking Baha'i World. Thanks for all your support and encouragement. Especially all the supporters and 5 star reviews, the e-mail outreach and newsletter subscribers. Wow, I found some old screenshots from the first month of One Ocean... What a transformation it undertook. Thanks for enabling us to keep developing our service project! On to the update notes: - Ridvan 2018 Message - Cleaned up User Interface - Latest Daily Reading is now displayed on the main menu Thanks for all your support and encouragement. I am currently reflecting on the progress of One Ocean, where it started, where it is now and where it is headed. Allah'u'Abha World! It has been to long without an update to One Ocean. Even though current circumstances did not allow me to work with high intensity on this App I could not allow to let more update-less time pass. For this Update I decided to get back into the code and do a little clean up for it to remain functioning. It usually takes a bit of time to get back into such a big project and it takes effort to keep it up to date so that its code does not break as technology advances. Besides that foundational work I also included the latest message of the Universal House of Justice as well as continued to extend the collection to include more older Messages. Happy to announce that One Ocean now contains all the publically available messages of the beloved Universal House Of Justice back until all of 2009 Thank you to all the active supporters for making this dream of working on Baha'i related software come true!

One Ocean just got text Highlighting, you read it here first! ;) Thanks for the encouragement from a particular One Ocean user who gave the inspiration to go back and finish text Highlighting. I started working on this feature 12 month ago and it took a while to get working but was missing some final touches. Well here we go. Select a text and press the "Text Format" Button. The Icons on the buttons are not ideal yet and it is a work in progress so thank you for your patience. Thanks to the suggestion of another user I adjusted the highlight color to be more contrasting to the text color. I actually think it looks better now, let me know what you think of it.
