  1. 5/5Great Tide & Current App

I have used Aye Tides and the XL version for iPad for several years and with it I never need a hard copy tide/current book. As noted, it does not require internet for use so it works out in the middle of no where although I usually plan routes in advance and save the key locations under favorites for fast retrieval. They iPad version is more friendly with graphs and you can point to any point on the graph to find the time and tide or currrent level. Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and set and moon configuration are all included as well. Just went from Seattle to Skagway AK taking most of the narrow risky passages using this as my primary reference with no issues

  2. 5/5Update Broke Landscape View on iPad

I’ve used this app and loved it for years. But the recent update essentially makes it useless on my iPad which is in a case that holds it in Landscape view at my helm. The update takes away all detailed info and ability to switch stations without tilting the iPad into Portrait view! This is not convenient when plugged into power and resting at the help. Please fix!

  3. 5/5An App of a kind.

The power of knowledge allows for humility. My vision is very limited to where I am in a given time. To know that i can share and SHOW what the tides would do in the close (or distant) future is just awesome, specially in graphic mode just by turning my device from horizontal to perpendicular. Too cool to describe it; a wonder to be able to do it. Keep up the good work. May Gob bless all your efforts. Be safe at sea

  4. 5/5Great tides app

This app organizes and presents tidal data in a very efficient manor. I love that it let’s you define arbitrary thresholds for different stations — I need to cross a sandbar that is only makeable at over 3ft. After defining a threshold I can see visual and tabular times for safe passage. The developer is very responsive. I recently reported a bug and it was fixed within a few hours.

  5. 5/5Terrific app!

As a sailor in California and an owner of a remote beach cabin in Alaska, I could not imagine living my life without this app. I also check regularly it for lunar phases and sunrise/sunset times as I travel around to different parts of the country. There are so many uses, but if you live near/participate in water activities I can’t recommend this app enough. I don’t leave home without it!

  • 4.3.14

We've changed the way internally some data structures are handled, leading to increased stability and a better overall user experience. Plus some bugs fixes as well.

  • 4.3.15

  • 4.3.16

This is a bug-fix version for issues that have come up.

We've fixed issues with displaying large text, and addressed some bugs that we've found. We've also added in the latest NOAA stations.

  • 4.3.18

We have fixed a database issue with a few stations, fixed a problem where we miscalculated the time during daylight savings for some stations, and updated the database with the latest from NOAA. We've updated the widgets so the app can talk to them when units change, and we've added a new feature to the Watch app - nearby stations now are shown! This requires the phone to be nearby and the app to have location services enabled.

  • 4.3.19

We've fixed a bug in the Watch app that was causing it to fail to load.

  • 4.3.20

We fixed a bug in sending the recently opened station list to the watch, changed the month view to show the day's events as well as the graph, changed the way some currents stations in Canada were displayed, fixed a bug in preferences, fixed some performance issues, and updated the database.

  • 4.3.21

We've fixed a few bugs that were causing the app to crash, fixed some layout issues with the widgets, restored the display of some of the Watch complications to show the trend of the tides or currents, and did some minor maintenance on the database.

  • 4.3.22

We fixed a bug with showing the search results when the request comes from another app.

  • 4.4.0

We've been busy getting the app to work well on iOS18. We've set the minimum OS version to iOS16, fixed the widgets on iOS18 so they work correctly, added Lock Screen widgets that track the latest opened station, added a Dark Mode icon so we look good when that is turned on, and updated the database to the latest stations from NOAA.

  • 4.4.1

In this version we've refreshed a lot of the older NOAA stations, fixed a bug when sorting the nearby stations list, restored the trend arrow in the widgets, and fixed some images that were being troublesome. Happy boating!

  • 4.4.10

Gremlins crept in and corrupted the recently opened list, and that caused havoc in the app. After a lot of disinfectant and elbow grease, we've gotten rid of the last of them.

  • 4.4.11

We've fixed the problem with text not resizing properly when adjusting the font size in the Settings app, and fixed the favorites table that wasn't showing any favorites.

  • 4.4.12

We've fixed a bug in the watch app, fixed a problem displaying certain currents stations, and have updated the database.

  • 4.4.13

We've fixed a logic flaw in how we find the correct station to display in the widget.

  • 4.4.14 · 7 Jun 2026

We've restored the ability to add calendar events, and have improved adding local notifications. We've also addressed some bugs that have been reported to us.

  • 4.4.2

We've fixed an issue when trying to open a station in the list requested by iNavX.

  • 4.4.3

We've fixed a problem with adding favorites, fixed a display bug with the list of days in the Month view, fixed a few miscellaneous bugs, and updated the database.

  • 4.4.4

We've fixed problems inside the database that resulted in incorrect predictions for several stations. We've also fixed a problem with the display on currents stations.

  • 4.4.5

We've fixed a bug that was causing the app to crash for a few users when updating the station's event list, and updated the database to fix the last corrupt data issue.

  • 4.4.6

We've updated the app to iOS26 and Liquid Glass plus a new icon (same as the old icon, but better!), simplified the UI a bit with new menus, fixed problems with the Watch complication, made phone widgets respond to station changes, added the ability to send units to the Watch app, fixed a bunch of minor bugs, and updated the database.

  • 4.4.7

We missed one bug in the last version, when selecting a station from the map. We are so embarrassed...

  • 4.4.8

We've fixed an issue with the selection map not loading the map, and addressed a race condition on startup that lead to a crash.

  • 4.4.9
