  1. 1/5No way to restore deleted Fitness Activity

I don’t know why you guys charge so much for iCloud backup if you are not storing useful information. I accidentally deleted all the history for my fitness workouts and there is apparently no way to restore it. Years of paying you guys for iCloud back up feels like a waste of money. No one does encrypted backup to a physical device anymore. Just like with photos, when you delete a photo, there is an option to restore the deleted photo before permanently deleting it off the app, there should be an option to restore deleted fitness workouts data in this app. I am so frustrated. I have used all Apple devices and have been heavily relying on the health app and fitness app as one should be able to and losing all this data and being told there’s no way to restore it even though it should clearly be getting backed up to the cloud storage that I pay for is just beyond ridiculous. Apple has the data somewhere, but the fact that no one is able help me get it back is not acceptable. I’ve been a loyal Apple customer and I can see the data is there, you guys just don’t have an option to restore which should be an easy fix. You clearly state that the data is collected so why can’t it be restored? I need someone to help me with this because it does not make sense that there’s no way. There has to be a way to restore accidentally deleted fitness workouts data.

  2. 4/5Great App but Needs More Options for Logging Health Data

I started using this app about a month ago. So far it has accurately tracked my sleep, medications and other data. It linked to my health records and accurately links to my fitness app. I love that my information has been easy to input and that it’s all kept in one place. I see a cardiologist, a gastroenterologist, a primary physician, and sometimes the hospital. It’s very helpful to be able to accurately log details and data to share at my appointments across various providers. The only feature I would love to see is more detailed tracking. I have to keep a food journal and unfortunately a bathroom log. This is true for many people with GI issues and it would be awesome if there was a category or feature to be able to log this info within this app as well. Also, when I do have a time period where I’ve experienced a medical event that prevents me from reaching my fitness goals or that affects my daily habits it would be nice to be able to log that event so when I look back at my data I know why it was out of range for those days and I can accurately communicate to my various providers the dates, times, and details of those events without having to keep those notes in a separate form. I can only relate to the medical issues I have but I am sure there are other conditions out there that could benefit from more options of what to track and how to log medical procedures and events that affect our daily habits and routines. Overall this app has been very helpful and has great potential, I would recommend.

  3. 3/5I want to love it…

This app has a nice layout and spread of health factors to track. It’s helping me keep track of a number of health things in one place, which is convenient. I am very frustrated by the data entry itself. There are a lot of little automatic things that make life difficult such as: often something I enter about the end time of an activity changes the start time so I have to go enter it again. If I miss the change, the data ends up incorrect. Sometimes the data is incorrect in a way that impacts other data in the app. When I try to edit the data, the only thing to do is delete the whole entry. So, today, because I entered sleep at 10am instead of 10pm accidentally, it ended up linked to my previous days’ sleep. I can’t fix it without reentering yesterday and today. Frustrating. Being able to edit just a single part of the data is really key. Beyond that, to really love the app, I’d need it to be more customizable. When I log moods and feelings, the feelings I want are rarely there. I’d like to be able to add a customized type of exercise I do all the time. I’d like to be able to specify whether nutrients are food or supplements. It would be icing on the cake if I could just say which foods I’d eaten and have it track nutrients for me. It’s an app that I now use daily, and also wish I could be in charge of improving daily.

  4. 4/5Cycle tracker

I like this app for my medical tracking, period tracking, activity tracking, and others. I have participated in long term research projects around women’s health that I would otherwise been able to do. Note to developers- While I love the period tracking, this is not just about how to get pregnant. It would be really useful to have a factor of “perimenopausal” to be able to better accurately account for all of the wild changes our bodies go through (these changes make us feel crazy because they are not tracked and studied!). This would be a great tool to studies the end of women’s reproductive health. How perimenopause affects sleep, blood pressure, state of mind (which I don’t use regularly) etc and using AI to help predict better. One other thought is if perimenopause is a factor the cycle length options would automatically adjust (I just had a 21 day period, and now 45 days into this period and I think finally skipped one, but the app still says that my next period is due based on the cycle input. It never adjusts to say missed period, etc). I would think with the amount of data you have access to it could really help influence and inform the much needed studies into this time of every woman’s body.

  5. 3/5Sleep needs work before advanced from beta

But it was. Update. It decides i am done sleeping when 1) i record that i took a scheduled medication but not an unscheduled one. (Update This happened recording with watch but not phone. ) 2) i open the BP section on the vitals section planning to record a blood pressure. 3) maybe there is more but it does make false assumptions so that the data is NOT “under your (my) control”. Last night it decided i was done sleeping when i checked my med list after midnight on the iphone to see a a bedtime pill had been taken yet. It produced a low sleep score on my watch about 00:17 and quit reporting sleep stages the rest of the night. Iphone gave me an ok sleep score in the morning but no stages after early am. Earlier days. Last 2 days it decided i was done sleeping when i took early am scheduled pills over an hour before time for alarm. AI is falsely assuming i’m done sleeping. Sometimes it’s right. Frequently it’s wrong. Maybe need to turn ai off for a few more years. Earlier days—I get up a bit after 4am and while i’m taking a Tylenol it announced my sleep score and had no idea of how much sleep I got the next 3 hours. Not everyone is young and heathy. I could share more such examples. Another time I walked 100 feet or so and took some pills before it decided that I would sleep no more for 2+ hours. The offer to turn off the alarm as I’m up seems more appropriate but sometimes a bit slow. I’d recommend that system be used to determine end of sleep. Good luck.
