1. 1/5Wasting Hours Just to Fight With This App

   Downloading and using this app is an enormous challenge. It’s full of obstacles and endless frustration. Something that should be very simple turns into a nightmare of problems. After downloading, you set up your password — but you can never log in. It keeps telling you the password is wrong. Then when you try to reset the password, if you use the original one, it tells you “cannot be the same as the old password,” which proves the original password was actually correct. After resetting, it gives you a “network error.” In short, it just won’t let you log in at all. Who knows how many more bugs and traps are waiting down the road, wasting countless hours and energy just to fight with this app.

2. 1/5Please support bank payment and PDF upload

   I’m surprised I can only choose between WeChat pay or offline payment. For anyone who doesn’t have a mainland telephone number, they obviously can’t use WeChat pay. Please support bank checking account payment option. Also, the photo upload feature doesn’t make sense when I already have all my documents scanned as PDFs. Converting PDF back to JPG is very difficult and your uploaded doesn’t allow multiple pages per upload slot. The app makes document exchange more difficult than simple email communication. If a technology already works, why make everyone learn something new that doesn’t work as well?

3. 4/5Passport renewal process better than expected!

   Just received my new passport today and have to say the whole process was surprisingly smooth. There were a few hiccups with the app at set-up with facial scan and midway when it wouldn’t open my submitted passport renewal form. But these problems were all resolved by reinstalling the app. The whole process took a little under a month and I never had to go in person to the embassy, even when parts of my submission had to be edited/resubmitted, I was informed and made those edits through the app. Overall very impressed by the smooth process!

4. 5/5Quick bug fix and useful features

   I need to renew my passport and was informed my Chinese consulate that this app will be online in June 2021. Login works for US phone number and I can get ID verification correctly through Dacian recognition. I was able to submit renewal application after their bugfix this week. Took only 20 mins overall and I can do it at home without traveling to the address. I am still waiting for additional materials but it seems pretty smooth.

5. 1/5The dumbest app ever

   This is the most ridiculous app I’ve ever used. In the section for downloading and uploading forms, the instructions clearly state: “Take a screenshot on your phone, fill it out, and upload it from your phone.” But when you take a screenshot, a pop-up appears saying, “For security reasons, please do not take screenshots or screen recordings.” Is this a joke? If you want to upload a photo from your phone, you must first move it to a specific folder—you can’t just select it directly from your album. Online payment is only available via WeChat. If the WeChat payment fails, you have to fill out the entire form again because the previous one becomes unusable. This is beyond stupid. The development budget was probably embezzled, and what’s left is this incredibly flawed and utterly brainless app. 这是我用过的最愚蠢的app， 1.在下载上传表格的地方，说明里明明说了“手机截图填写后手机上传”。当你截图后会弹出一个窗口说“为了安全请勿截屏录屏”。是不是傻？ 2. 如果要上传手机里的照片，必须把照片另外集中到一个文件夹里，不能直接读取相册。 3.在线支付只有微信，微信支付失败就必须重新填表，之前的表就不能用了。简直弱智到极点。 开发app的费用大概率被吞了，然后就开发了一个弱智极致漏洞百出的app
