Smoother on slow networks - A new banner now warns you when your connection is slow, so you know the app is working — not stuck. - If a screen takes too long to load, you can dismiss the loading overlay and try again instead of waiting forever. - The Home screen now offers a "Try Again" option if the initial load can't reach our servers. - Login on weak signal: the slow-connection warning now also appears while signing in with Apple or Google. Polished details - Movie Details no longer shows two close buttons on top of each other when a network error appears. - Favorites skeletons now line up exactly with the posters, so the screen no longer "jumps" when images load. - The slow-connection message in onboarding is no longer cut off mid-sentence.

That placeholder only shows up if the movie genuinely has no poster.

What changed while you were watching trailers - A friendlier ask: if you skipped notifications during onboarding, you can now turn them on right from your profile. No more buried settings hunts. - Your blocked genres now follow you. Sign in on a new device and your preferences are already there, applied to the home feed from the very first scroll. - A smarter Trending row. Behind the scenes we did some math to make sure you see a full row of movies, even when your taste is very specific. - A polite heads-up: if your blocked genres are trimming the feed a bit too much, a small banner will let you know — once. Dismiss it and it stays gone. - Quality-of-life polish across Home, Search, and Profile that you probably won't notice individually, but together they make the app feel a little quicker and a little kinder.

Bug Hunters at Work We grabbed our flashlights and went digging through the basement of the app. Here's what we found and fixed: - Movie details now slide together as one happy unit. No more title text playing peekaboo behind the hero image when you scroll. The poster and the page are best friends again. - We installed silent alarms. Behind the scenes, the app now sends us a detailed report any time something goes sideways — so the next time a popup misbehaves, we'll know exactly which closet it crawled out of. - Less noise, more signal. We swept out a stack of layout warnings that were cluttering things up under the hood. You won't see the difference, but the app is a little tidier.
