2. 5/5It’s been a whirlwind but Alinea is a glimmer of hope!

   Oh boy. I have literally been avoiding giving my money away to stocks. Maybe because in a way I didn’t trust myself to make informed decisions about the current stock market. I knew nothing about it and continue not to. It wasn’t until my friend told me about investing during the pandemic as a way to feel financially secure when I felt like I should change something. I downloaded it all - Fidelity, Charles Schwab. I could not open these apps without feeling flustered and overwhelmed. Where do I even pick the stocks I want? Where do I link my bank account? Nothing was user friendly for me. So I gave up. “It’s fine. I have a well paying job.” That’s where I screwed up. I was recently laid off and after years of feeling financially secure, I was suddenly taken back to 2015 as a graduated but broke college student. I shouldn’t have to feel like this in my 30s. Alinea’s app popped up on my feed one day and it took me by surprise. They can invest for you?? I don’t have to make decisions? They can TEACH me how to invest without having to pay an arm and a leg? I immediately downloaded it. I finally opened the app today and used it. And boy. Was it SO easy. I linked my bank account and invested my first few bucks to see how it feels. I feel great! Knowing that the company can make these informed decisions for me, takes some of the anxiety away from investing. I look forward to starting this new journey while I look for my next job opportunity. Thank you for this user friendly and beautiful platform!

3. 5/5Great app for Women who want to invest, but don’t know where to start!

   First and foremost, Alinea is made BY women FOR women. In our current society patriarchy still seems to rule, and misogyny is making the ultimate comeback. This is why financial literacy and understanding for women is so crucial, more now, than ever. As women we need to be more proactive in addressing and understanding our finances, and especially when it comes to investing! The stock market is heavily male dominated, and I know we are all so accustomed to scrolling past that one guy on social media screaming “hustle hustle hustle” or tossing around terms that most of us have never heard before- it’s boring, and seems to only cater to the men. With Alinea, all of the confusion and unknown, is tossed away. Alinea is extremely user friendly, simple to use, and easy to understand, for any woman that is completely new to the world of stocks & investing. I set my app to automatically invest a set amount of $ each month. The app also sends me notifications to update me on how my investments are doing. I have already started to make some money! My favorite part is you get to choose the risk level you are most comfortable with. I would highly recommend Alinea to any woman who is looking to invest but isn’t sure where to start. We need more women in male dominated spaces!

4. 5/5Amazing for Beginners!!!

   I have always heard from social media about finance tricks and the importance of investing, but I felt like I never really knew how to do it in the first place. My school never really taught me these skills either. When I saw a video about Alinea on social media and hearing about their backstory, I felt like it was the perfect app to get started on investing. Everyday they post a instagram story styled summary on all the finance related stories that is happening in the world. You can also customize the businesses that you are investing in, by your values such as women owned or climate friendly. They can also auto invest for you. I have a certain amount of money set at the beginning of every month that automatically gets invested and it makes it so easy. While they can auto invest for you, what I love about it is also learning about what my investment does. I feel in like in this current economy, where prices are rising, I get so worried about how I would afford things in the future. I’m so grateful that I am getting a start on my finance journey. Overall such an amazing app to learn about investing and I highly recommend it to everyone.

5. 4/5Been looking for an app like this!

   Been looking for an app like this for a while, and after seeing it on TikTok, so I decided to download it. The user interface makes it very easy to use and it’s aesthetically pleasing. The issue I have with it is the investors spend more time making ads, then actually being active on other platforms. I attempted to research before actually investing and getting into the app. They have a Discord that they aren’t even active on and the TikTok account that they have for this is mainly just add to not actually how to use the app or tips or anything. It could be a very good app, but I feel like I’ve basically had to go into this blind, because there was no one you can actually ask for about information. They offer a zoom call but it's hard to get in contact with a human being. Even on their website, the most recent article was from forever ago. I’m not quick to judge the app, but I am quick to judge the creators and their lack of presence. i’ve tried to get people to start a conversation in the Discord so that I could have an understanding and so that others can have an understanding, but it seems the creators are just not there nor do they want to check it. I want to learn more, I want to earn more, but how can I know what do to without some guidance?
