   I decided to try the free trial. Of this particular book app and I must admit that I was very skeptical and felt that it was very unlikely that I would like this app when there is a plethora of reading and audiobook apps to choose from. But I was pleasantly surprised! The works that I presented here or carefully curated and I have been very pleasantly surprised at how easily, I became engaged, in fact, even engrossed at times, in the stories. I highly recommend that you give this app a chance! It’s free and if you’re like me, you’re going to find that you think that the monthly fee — equivalent to the price of a single cheap fast food meal — is definitely a better choice and much more healthy to both your psyche and body! Tune out the negative noisy world and tune in to a lovely alternative reality for a few minutes or a few hours. Lovely state-of-the-art reading and audiobook content!

2. 5/5The app I’m never deleting

   I’ve deleted most apps from my phone to avoid wasting hours on things that don’t really enrich my life in the end. Alexander though, is a keeper. For me, it’s the only world I can enter from my phone, where I feel richer post experience. I learn something new and also learn about myself. It offers something for all my moods both in user experience - being able to switch from audio to reading to video however I please - and in content. There’s a great library with mixed topics that make you relate or reflect or even upset - which stimulates my brain. Most of all, I love the quality. Amazing writing, talented and experienced actors delivering the audio and the little trailers are like a mini movie experience. It encompasses everything one could ask for in storytelling and it’s done RIGHT. It’s an app I’m actually happy to subscribe to and support in its growth. I look forward to what will be released. Highly recommend.

3. 5/5My go-to audiobook app !

   Intriguing books read by intriguing artists, and even under an hour long for those under time constraints, such as ‘Passion of Faraj S.’ about an Iranian journalist resonating themes such as Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot,’ if looked in depth, or Ionesco's ‘The Lesson.’ Or.. ‘Where we come from , where we’re going’ a delicate book about artists living in a delicate part of the world , read delicately by David Oyelowo! These are just to name a few; I encourage everyone to explore the books on Alexander and raise your awareness.

4. 3/5Okay app still needs time to mature

   I like the concept, and it’s not new… talented celebrity actors and actresses reading audiobooks have been around for a while. This app has specialized on it. My initial experience and review- The app works, but they’re still working on building their library. It feels like the app is still being developed, I’m not a fan of the UI- I feel like it’s designed to hide the lack of content. I haven’t been erroneously billed or anything like the other reviews mentioned. I would encourage the company to decrease pricing until there is more content, but I suspect they need the capital to hire more actors/pay royalties. So I would advise customers to look for a deal or check it out for a week/month before committing.

5. 1/5Poor Customer Service

   Admittedly, I made a mistake and did not set a reminder on my calendar to cancel the trial period before I was charged $129 for the annual subscription. On the day, or the day after the charge, I immediately contacted support on Dec 20th (initiated from the app) to ask kindly if they could reimburse me, as I had not listened to anything at all. I also contacted them on Dec 24th, Dec 28th, and Jan 2nd. To ensure I did not miss a response, I have checked Spam/Junk as well. At this point, while the refund would go a long way for me, it is the lack of response that is bothersome. I have cancelled my subscription, though I still have access for a year, which I really do not want. I am sure if one does not need to contact support, you will enjoy this app. Though the lack of response is very disappointing. I have not had an issue like this before.
