1. 5/5LOVE THIS APP!

   I absolutely LOVE YAZIO! I've been using it for about two weeks now; I was hooked by the second day. I found it on the App Store after deciding I wasn't happy with the other app I was using. YAZIO is way more organized with so many more options, it's easy to navigate (especially with the helpful widgets, which makes it so easy to quickly access to log a meal), and it's just super well designed and nice to look at. The most awesome part for me is its automatic calculations. I used to struggle to maintain organization of my calorie intake throughout the day, but after only a few days of using YAZIO it became an automatic activity that I log before I even sit down to enjoy a meal, snack, or beverage (I mostly drink lemon water, but I put any other beverages under the Snack category). The other most awesome thing is that I have actually started working out WAY more because it's motivating to see that I can snack a bit extra if I get my workout in. Therefore I've been using my stationary bike nearly every single day for 30-60 minutes, and it's so exciting to see the intake vs calories burned. It is just extremely inspiring and motivates me to keep going day after day. I was lucky to get 75% off my subscription which was affordable for me, and even after I reach my goal weight (about 20 lbs away) I will keep using this app all the time. It's a great addition to a healthy lifestyle. Thank you YAZIO for creating such a fantastic app! You guys rock! :)

2. 5/5So many frustrations

   The app seemed okay for the first few days. Allowed me to earn some chests for diamonds (in-app currency), but over the last 2 days, it tells me I got a chest, but it’s not available to open. There should be 2 available each day. I’ve logged my food consistently for nearly a week, so how do I only have 30 diamonds (each chest holds 10 diamonds)? Minor inconvenience, but when you’ve bought a subscription to an app, you’d think they’d treat you better rather than cheat you out of its imaginary rewards. Then, over the last day, it’s continually forced me to connect to my Fitbit app… then reconnect… then, it’ll be okay… until I try to log my next meal, in which it will prompt me to reconnect to my Fitbit app… and again… and again. To say this app is frustrating is an understatement over the last 2 days. And then when you try to chat for help (because I didn’t see any other way to contact support), it’ll ask you for your user name, direct you to check your account info if you haven’t memorized your randomized user name yet, but when you go to check it, it closes the chat, forcing you to start over. I thought some of the features were worth switching from MyFitnessPal, but man, I’d almost prefer to just count the annual sub cost as loss, cancel further use, and go back to MFP at this point, that’s how frustrating this process has been.

3. 4/5Close to perfect! A few small issues though…

   This app is great and it is an excellent multi-tracking tool for overall wellness. I love that it syncs to my watch. I was so impressed with the quality of it that I only had it a day before choosing to upgrade to the membership. However, with that being said, there are a few small issues. I tried to find a way to reach out to the dev team or request to beta test in order to address or troubleshoot these issues, but couldn’t find that. My first issue is that the watch app of YAZIO always presents an error when trying to sign up or sign in, specifically through Apple ID, which is what I’m signed up with on my phone app. It still connects to my Health data, but I want to access the app on my wrist too. The second issue is part of why I opted into a membership, so it’s disappointing it isn’t working- the Health/Food Coach option to create my own meal plan always presents a 404 error no matter what options are chosen. The last issue might not be a YAZIO issue (possibly a Siri issue), but the Siri shortcuts don’t seem to do anything. Overall, I’m still happy with my purchase bc it’s super easy to monitor so many aspects of my food intake, water, and activity while being easy-to-understand.

4. 3/5App is good but glitchy

   The app is great when it works. I decided to do the Pro subscription and it was ok for 35 days and then app stopped working. I couldn’t enter any foods for any meals by doing a typed search. Barcode scan would work and copying from previous days would work, but that was it. I was really disappointed. I was reluctant to reinstall because I had a streak going. I ended up deleting the app and reinstalling and after I did, the app was WAY better than before with all these features that I always thought should have been there…. like frequent foods list for easy entry, a visible database to make selections from, saved recipes, etc. None of those features were there for me until I reinstalled. I think somehow I had a defective version the entire time because all of those things should have been there! I always thought it was weird that I couldn’t see the database when I searched something. For example, I would enter “half and half” and it would automatically choose a brand even though it wasn’t that exact brand. There was no way around it and so I just went with it, but looking back, that was really weird. I never had a list pop up where I could select the correct brand until I reinstalled. I didn’t lose my streak after deleting and reinstalling. 👍 But now, after reinstalling, the watch app stopped working 👎 It just won’t open. It’ll instantly close.

5. 4/5used to be better but still love it

   ive been using yazio since like 2020, it was one if the first calorie counters ive ever used but i always come back to it lol… its soo cute the design is SO much better than apps like myfitnesspal or calorie ai that look so.. plain. ive noticed that yazio UNDERESTIMATES your calories. it gives you less than you need to loose weight. i recommend using a tdee calculator and see how much of a deficit you need to align with your goals. do it manually, yazio’s calorie amount for you is NOT ACCURATE. i still love yazio, but it used to not have ads after each track, and you used to be able to use barcode scanning wo premium… now you have to pay for everything. but i think the positives outweigh the negatives. it conveniently connects to fitness/apple watch, you can track water, get recipes, start challenges, and do intermittent fasting on here. its the best calorie counter out there imo. however, one negative is that it doesnt have as many food options as other apps. it simply doesnt have some popular foods, and the calories can be inaccurate when you look them up. this is why i gave it 4 stars, it has its flaws, but is still my personal favorite.
