"body": "Hey, I love this Chinese search engine, way better than Google.(Chinese search engine version of Google) It was founded in Beijing, China and made by the Chinese CEO Robin Li. This search engine is the best because you can search whatever you want and it looks like Google, but different. Baidu and Google are similar, Baidu, you can watch Chinese videos which is so cool and it is kinda like a Xiaohongshu Red Note almost to TikTok but NOT social media. I find this interesting and Baidu is a great search engine. China is my favorite country in the world and find it the best country and I been using Baidu since October 2024, I used Google for 6 years and it is Californian and American from a CEO who is from India. I am learning Mandarin Chinese and Spanish so I know some words in Mandarin and Baidu is in Mandarin but I know how to use it. Baidu 百度一下 is the second most powerful search engine in the world and it almost heading to Google, 75% people been using Google and 21% people use Baidu and the population by number density that people been using in China up to 685 million and 1,000 people uses Baidu in the USA. In the US, is mostly Google and some people use Yahoo. Sweden used to be my favorite country and Indonesia, and Sweden IKEA is my old name on my iPhone, now my favorite is CHINA!! SO BAIDU IS THE BEST AND AWESOME SEARCH ENGINE IN THE WORLD!!! If you want, try Baidu and be careful, because if you log in, then you might get track and restrict your account because they know what your doing and the Chinese government owns it. But you can still use it, but don’t log in if you don’t want to. It’s safe when you log in but make sure you live in China and you will be good. Good Luck and tell how Baidu is!",

"body": "Downloaded the App again (on a US phone with US SIM) when realizing that these days the great fire wall really makes using any browser or map app I had impossible (there was still some use ability 6 years ago). But I guess since in China the App came over in all Chinese (even though I am on the US App store). Searching in english in the App “does baidu have an English interface” delivered positive results and instructions in English. The Chinese menu-picks to do this however were not to be found by me with considerable effort and also were not found by native Chinese speakers with technical degrees. IDK, but you could do a whole lot better Baidu! It would be nice if a visiting foreigner, while in China could at least do the things at least in English, that are allowed under the great fire walls restrictions. No reason not to allow that and just sabotage any internet usage. Yes, there may be workarounds which temporarily work, but I just want to function within China within its rules. A company like Baidu should manage to make that possible - if it wants to - or?",
