Agatha Christie Reading List

This update includes some exciting new features: You can now find out more information about all Agatha's mystery titles by tapping on the book cover image in the detail view. Find synopses, trivia, and other publication info. Get a little glimpse of what made Agatha tick and some background on stories and plots or what lay behind some of the dedications she made. You can also peruse the many non-English titles for most of her books as well as a list of characters in each story. Some just name the characters but many have some fun or interesting descriptions too. You'll be able to read more information about each book through links to Wikipedia - if you dare. There are spoilers everywhere on there! Don't worry, there are no spoilers in the app. Wouldn't want to ruin your fun! We also added a new category called Other Published Collections in case you have some of those old tomes around and want to check them off your list. Many of these books are hardcover and are a collection of several of her books in one volume. There's a couple of paperbacks we found that contain new compilations of short stories. We will continue to add to this list as we come across these gems. It seems that our dear Agatha has been relentlessly published in a myriad of formats! The next thing we did was update the Sort button to make it more noticeable the first time the app is used. We created a (very) short video about this feature which can be found on our Facebook page. Just tap the Like Us on Facebook menu option to get there. Last but not least we went through and fixed a few tiny bugs so your whole experience should only be better than ever. We are starting this update with many apologies! Unfortunately, due to copyright constraints, we can no longer share the two ebooks, "The Mysterious Affair at Styles" and "The Secret Adversary" with users outside the United States. If you live outside the U.S., this update will remove the books from your app. We are very sorry for this oversight and apologize to those who will no longer be able to read the books within the app. Luckily the app is still extremely useful to anyone who is a fan of Agatha Christie and her works even without the ebooks. NOW the GOOD news: This update removes ALL ads from the app. No need to put up with them or do things to remove them. A total ad-free experience awaits you! Many thanks to those who did take the time to remove them already! Not only that, we have expanded the Other Collections List and added over 30 more book titles, the most notable title being "Hercule Poirot: The Complete Short Stories". Agatha's works get published in a myriad of forms and it's been our mission to find them all. If you have a book that we haven't listed, please email us and let us know so we can add it to the list. You'll also find updates in these other categories: Books about Agatha Christie, Companion Books, Inspired by Agatha, Agatha Christie as a "Character", and Graphic Novel Adaptations. Thank you, once again, for downloading this app! It is so wonderful being part of a world-wide community who enjoys Agatha Christie's books. This update is the result of a request from a fellow Agatha Christie fan. This fellow fan asked for a way to keep track of how many books have been read, including how many Poirots or Marples, etc. had been checked off. "How fun!", I thought. But I didn't stop there. I also added achievements to encourage readers to reach their Agatha Christie reading goals. When I say readers, I also mean me! You can find the book counts and achievements under the new "Stats" category in the menu list. There is a definite emphasis in reading achievements over collecting achievements. Reading achievements are easier to attain while it takes more books to earn the collector's achievements. Hopefully this will add an element of fun as you go through your reading list. You may notice a difference in the alert view when you go to check off a book. It is simpler and to the point. Also note that Sophie Hannah's books have been moved to their own category. Novelized Plays and Plays in Play Format can still be found under the "Type" category. There are some minor corrections in information, links, and other behind the scenes stuff as well.
