Bug fixes and improvements.

A few small fixes in this update. Things might feel slightly smoother, some edge cases are sorted, and a couple of things that weren't quite right have been tidied up. The kind of release that makes daily use more reliable. Keep the feedback coming - it shapes what gets fixed next.

Item Templates - Got a Camera? A set of tools? Something you add over and over? Make a template. It pre-fills the fields you always fill and hides the ones you never use. Build one from scratch or create it straight from any existing item. Multi-select custom fields - A new field type that lets you pick multiple options from a list. Useful for conditions, features, or anything that needs more than one answer. Organise tab - Tags, custom fields, templates, kits, and pick lists now live in their own dedicated tab. Everything in one place, nothing buried in Settings. Activity Log - The full history of what's happened in your inventory (movements, edits, quantity changes) has moved to the Reports tab where it makes more sense. Photo sync fix - Squashed a bug where photos could get stuck and not show up on all your devices. A few small tidy-ups throughout.

Fixed a sync bug that switched you to a different inventory while you were viewing a shared one. That's gone. Editors on shared inventories can now edit and delete items as intended - a permissions fix that should have been there from the start. Finding a shared inventory is also quicker - you can now enter an invite code directly from Settings, one tap away.

Fixed sync so your full inventory downloads on the first sync instead of needing two. Photos too - they show up straight away now, no app restart required.

Custom fields just got tidier. Organise them into named groups - Camera Specs, Tool Info, Warranty Details - and collapse the ones you're not using to keep the form short. Or pin them inside the built-in sections so warranty expiry sits next to purchase date, where it belongs. Each inventory has its own section visibility now too. Hide Quantity in your home contents, hide Purchase Info in a workshop. Set it once and the choice syncs across your devices. The item details page got a polish - the hero photo fills the width, scales nicely on iPad, and the nav bar adapts to the colour behind it. Plus shared inventories load reliably on first sync, and the app no longer churns sync traffic when nothing's actually changed.

Your tags just learned some new tricks. • Tap to Open: turn it on for an NFC tag and tapping the tag opens the item - even when the app is closed, even from the lock screen. • QR codes you generate now open items straight from the iPhone Camera. Point, tap, done. • Barcodes have arrived: scan a product's barcode to find its item, reuse labels from your old system, or generate fresh ones. • Label printing now does barcodes too - QR and barcode labels mix on the same Avery sheet. • Barcode custom fields are scannable with the camera, and Quick Scan finds items by them as well. • The Register NFC Tag screen got a fresh, modern look. As always, everything works offline and nothing needs an account.

We hunted down a sync bug that could make the location picker keep jumping back to the top while you were editing an item, and fixed it for good. We also gave that picker a search box, so when you choose where an item lives you can jump straight to the right room or shelf instead of scrolling. Scanning feels better in this update. You now get a little tap the moment a scan lands, so you know it worked without watching the screen, plus an optional scan sound if you want one. We've added a quick QR or barcode toggle on the scan screen, fixed a bug where the scanner sometimes did not restart after you opened an item and came back, and translated even more of the app into your language. Small touches that make everyday scanning smoother.

Scan an item with AI. Point your camera at something you want to add and additem.to suggests the details - name, brand, model, category, even your own custom fields and a matching template. You review every suggestion and can edit anything before it's saved. Nothing is added without you. Private by design: your photo is only sent when you choose to scan, and it's never used to train AI models. Everyone gets a few free scans to try it. Pro Local and Pro Cloud include more each month. A small but important update. We fixed a problem where the camera could close when you added a second photo to an item. It now opens and stays open the first time. Faster, smarter AI scanning: - Save & Scan: save an item and go straight into scanning the next one, so adding lots of things is quick. - Sign in right in the scan flow, with no detour to Settings. - Smarter suggestions: shorter, cleaner names, and it reuses your existing categories and tags so everything stays consistent. - Photos you add now upload reliably on the next sync. A tidy-up release for the item and location screens. • Deleting an item or location now tells you the truth: it moves to Recently Deleted, where you can restore it for 30 days. The old message made it sound permanent. • We now give you a heads-up before you lose any unsaved changes while editing an item. • The subscription screens are clearer about what each plan includes, right down to how many AI scans you get. • Better VoiceOver support across the item and location screens. Add with AI was just the start. Now you can update with AI too. Got an item you added in a hurry, missing its serial, model, or half its details? Point your camera at it (or its label) and additem.to fills in the blanks for you. It even spots values that look wrong and suggests a fix - you see every change first, and nothing is overwritten unless you approve it. Perfect for tidying up the items you meant to come back to. It uses the same AI scans as Smart Create, so free users can try it too. We've also translated more of the app and tightened up a few screens in longer languages.

Photos now turn up where you expect them. Add a photo to an item on the web or another device, and it could occasionally lag behind on your other devices - sometimes not showing up until you next opened the app. We found the sync gap behind it and closed it, so photos you add anywhere now arrive reliably on the next sync. A small update, but a satisfying one to get right.

Two small but welcome additions. See where you stand with AI. A new panel in Settings shows how many AI scans you have left this month, plus a history of everything you have scanned. The Locations screen now remembers itself. Collapse the sub-locations you are not using and they stay that way, even after a sync or a restart. Thanks to the user who asked for this one. Bulk editing is here. Select several items and set their location, add tags, or set a category all at once - scan a tag for the destination or pick from the list. Tags and categories are faster too. When you add or edit an item you can browse and pick from the ones you already use, or create a new one in a tap. And on the Tags page, tap any tag to see every item that has it. Adding items is quicker: attach photos right as you create an item, and use "Save & Add Another" to fly through a whole shelf without leaving the form. Nothing new to tap this time - this update is all under the hood. We laid the plumbing so a photo's type (receipt, manual, box or label) can sync across your devices, ready for a future update, and finished a round of behind-the-scenes clean-up to keep everything feeling solid.

Photos grew up in this update. Give any photo a type - receipt, condition, manual, box, label or document - so the right shot is easy to find when it matters. Set it in the viewer, or touch and hold a photo in the grid for quick actions: cover, type, delete. The full-screen viewer is new too. Swipe between an item's photos, zoom right in, share or save the full-quality image, and add captions - handy for noting where you bought something or which receipt covers it.
