  1. 5/52nd Try TV is a game changer!

I’ve been following the Try Guys since the Buzzfeed days, and I’m continually impressed with their resilience, talent, empathy, and willingness to reinvent themselves. Though I don’t know them personally, I’m so proud of how far they’ve come and that Keith, Zach, and Eugene are all finally doing what makes them each truly fulfilled - and of course I’m incredibly happy that we still get to watch them be hilarious and thought-provoking. Bringing in new talent on a more official basis is also a shakeup that I am so here for. The app is clean, visually appealing, and easy to use. I love that you can find all episodes of each show in their own place, and I’m thrilled with the inclusion of quality subtitles (I have audio processing issues so even though my hearing is fine it’s helpful for me to have subtitles). I’ve had no issues with the app loading or glitching or anything whatsoever. The only thing I’m bummed about is that I can’t get the app on my tv - but that might be due to how old it is (it’s a 2015? 2016? Samsung Smart TV that I refuse to get rid of until it literally stops working). But if your tech is more up to date than mine, you should be fine! Overall, I’m so excited for this new direction and I can’t wait to see what’s in store!

  2. 5/5The magic is back

Been watching the Try Guys since the beginning and after the pandemic and *stuff* happening and the algorithm no longer favoring the types of videos they liked to make I felt like some of the original magic was gone/most of the videos felt more like a chore and I am SO SO SO excited that they put faith in themselves (and the rest of the Trycast) and took a big leap to a whole streaming service. I feel like the joy and authenticity is really back in their videos AND with new cast members the “try something new” energy has also returned. I love that we’re getting more of the “weird stuff” like candid competition (1000 more episodes please I NEED to know if terminator Keith takes them down (and then how they mount a resistance against him (epic final battle with a candid competition for best sword shaped cake that can be used as a ‘real’ sword? (Also includes reference to Shrek 2 climax scene!?)))) and that the quality of videos is already improving as they find their footing in this new space/era. I will gladly be subscribing for a LONG time and genuinely hope to see them grow in similar ways to Dropout where they can become an even bigger platform for themselves and lots of other funny, talented, kind, and curious people.

  3. 5/5Try Guys Try Streaming Services :)

As a longtime fan, I’m insanely excited for 2nd Try and their streaming service! Having subscribed to their service and now having downloaded their app, I can certainly say so much thought has gone into creating this product. The app is very well laid out. The home-screen displays new releases, and then a break down of different genres/series, even a section called “The Archive” which is exactly what it says it is, all the videos we know and love! (You also get the TryPod podcast as well! Fingers crossed we get the other podcasts too.) When selecting The Archives or any of the series, you are able to watch in the order displayed, or sort alphabetically or by release date. Using the search option, you are able to sort through videos by title or by collections. For example, if you search “food” you get an endless search of videos including videos with “food” in the title or videos containing food, but you also get the option to look at collections of videos about “food” like Eat the Menu. On all videos, you have the option to add to “My List” (basically favoriting), Download (for offline viewing), and Sharing. I love the option of being able to download so that I can watch episodes while flying. Finally, in settings you have your typical stuff: managing account, help center, legal, app settings. You’re able to switch to dark theme, select stream quality, control autoplay, and even choose how you want your downloads to be done (always HD, duh!). I’m super excited for all the new content that will be hitting this streaming service. While so many will complain that it’s another thing to pay for, the content that is produced by 2nd Try is 100% worth it. There’s shows for everyone! It’s definitely worth it, in my opinion, but I’m bias and love the team.

  4. 5/5My main source of Try Guys content!

I have been a Try Guys fan since the ladies underwear video and it’s really amazing for me to see just how much the content, the guys, and the company has grown. I’m so proud of you guys and I cannot wait to see what you guys continue to put out! I’m loving the direction of 2nd try right now, trolley problems is my absolute favorite, new installment. I also love the expansion of the cast, and it’s absolutely refreshing to have other great, talented and funny personalities. I miss Eugene terribly and even though I know he’s doing some great things right now, I do hope we get a Eugene episode/guest/judge/cameo/rank king ep somewhere in the future! What I would love to see on the app is a “random video” button. Sometimes I just don’t know what I want to watch, I also do not have a super accurate or up-to-date personal record of the videos and content that have come out in Try Guys past. Maybe an algorithm that truly randomizes the videos that are played could be a great addition, definitely would be for me!

  5. 5/5Try guys rule!!

So I love the try guys I just recently got into them and think they are so dope! The app is coolio, however I think it may be missing some cool features that, if possible, would be super awesome! •the streaming button doesn’t work on my app, it does work for other ones but not try guys and I do have the app on my tv •I know a lot of people are pressing you guys about comments, but I’ll put comments would be sick to •due to me being busy I didn’t get to watch the live stream this week all the way through when the live started but when I did watch I didn’t get to participate in the polls and chat because I was on second try ( this totally could have been a user error because I didn’t get in on time and joined at like 15 mins and it might have been explained and I missed it) lol I am so sorry this is so long but I think the app is sick, you guys are sick, your producers and behind the scenes people are sick and I’ll always be a try guy homie! #eatthemenu
