1. 2/5Limited unlimited subscription

   I’ve tried pretty much the majority of these short drama apps and their subscriptions and shortical’s subscription policy is the worst. There is only a weekly subscription option, of which, they say it is unlimited… it’s not. They only unlock episodes every so often and each short has a different release schedule. Some give you one episode a day and mind you they are like a minute long… others it’s once a week and others it’s random. DramaWave, DramaBox and so on… unlimited is unlimited all episodes unlock when you subscribe, regardless of a weekly or an annual. I’ve yet to figure out how to get shortical to give me an annual subscription, which in theory should be a better value then weekly. It’s frustrating because when they say it’s unlimited, it should be. Not to mention, they don’t have the subscription in your Apple account subscriptions, so I’m concerned it will be a PIA to cancel, we will see.

   I’m extremely disappointed with my experience using Shortical. I pay for a subscription expecting to be able to watch the shows I’m interested in, but that has not been the case. For example, I’m currently watching Owned by the Wolf, and after reaching a certain point, I’m only allowed to watch one new episode per day. What makes this especially frustrating is that the episodes are literally under two minutes long. Paying for a subscription and then being limited to less than two minutes of new content per day feels extremely restrictive and defeats the purpose of subscribing. If a series is going to be released as a “Daily Drop,” that should be made very clear before customers pay. I enjoy the content, but the episode locking makes the subscription feel like poor value for anyone who prefers to binge-watch. Because of this experience, I will not be subscribing again.

3. 1/5Paid Subscription SCAM!!

   So I paid for the weekly subscription. What I am seeing unfortunately after I purchased the same issues from other people that have purchased. You are only able to view around 30 episodes. It is saying on the particular story that some episodes will not be available until July 2027. If that is the case you should make people aware of that and state that this is not a full access site. I hope this helps others with an informed decision on what exactly they are paying for. Honestly- A weekly paid subscription for NOTHING! Please also be aware that even though the developers “tell” you how to cancel, you follow the steps I. Your profile, there is not an unsubscribe button. You will most likely have to cancel with your bank otherwise they will automatically charge you!

4. 5/5Customer service is awful

   I have tried to cancel my subscription every possible way. I bought it through the web, and when I contact customer service to help me cancel it, I get nothing of a response. I looked at the policy, and it says for the web you can cancel it under account settings, and when I go to the web, there’s no such thing as account settings! It’s also ridiculous that it’s $20 a week!

5. 1/5Unable to View VIP episodes

   I purchased the two week subscription through the website when it asked me to enter my email to save my progress. They offered pretty good deal. I tried watching several shows but once I hit the VIP episodes nothing will load. I immediately canceled my subscription in the APP. However, I used my GMAIL to login and create an account on my iPhone. It’s not showing I have any active subscriptions through my subscriptions page and I logged into my Google account and it’s not showing it there either . I contacted customer service with my VIP ID number. With a screen shot of the pending charging my bank account. It shows I am active VIO until Aug 7. Ten why can’t I watch any VIO content and why am I being charged for it? Waiting for their customer service to contact me back. This app was downloaded from The Apple App Store not Google Play. I simply Created my account with my Gmail instead of Apple. Because I can’t watch any of the shows is why I canceled my subscription. Reading horror stories of people being charged $25 after the two week subscription special. I will be contacting my bank.
