  1. 4/5Good app

I use this as a text editor to proof read HTML files stored on my iPad and make corrections. Works great for that, better than any other app I found. Only complaint: after making an edit and then switching back to the browser the view always goes to the beginning of the file, so I have to scroll down to where I left off, a hassle for large files. Wish there was an option to sync browser view to editor view. Otherwise very efficient.

  2. 1/5Disingenuous business practices

Word for the wise: if an app's reviews are under 4.5 stars, it's a red flag. I usually don't even entertain apps with ratings this low, but I gave it a shot just for kicks. DON'T DOWNLOAD. It's not advertised as a paid app, but immediately upon opening it, it hits you with a "$2.99/week" charge to use it. It does offer a "free trial," but like the other reviews said, you can only use it like 3-4 times before the unblockable "purchase pro" pop-up prevents you from using the app again until you pay. Devs, If you're going to charge for the app, advertise it as a PAID app. Better yet, be like Pythonista and offer a one-time purchase option. People are tired of subscription models, and no one is going to pay a weekly subscription for a coding app when mobile isn't even remotely an ideal environment for coding. The target demographic for apps like this are students, beginners, and/or people who just want to play around for fun; aka, people who aren't willing to make weekly investments for an unnecessary tool.

  3. 2/5Not very Useful

What am I missing? I can’t edit anything in the rendered view, and it doesn’t navigate to the corresponding html. So all it’s doing is showing me the result faster? Not very helpful and definitely not worth $3.99 a week. A WEEK? with no other options? But I’m not even here to complain about the pay wall. I understand that apps cost money to develop, but there should be some utility. I don’t get it. But about the paywall popup. I don’t know how this app passed App Store review. It says it is FREE. And then as soon as you try to use it, you are forced to subscribe even for the trial. That’s deceptive, and it should really be removed from the App Store.

  4. 4/5Good app, not actually free

This was a great editor. Unfortunately it seems that it’s not free anymore - a popup ad for the pro version covers the screen shortly after opening it and can’t be dismissed. I can’t justify $4 a week for something that was mainly a hobby, but for professional devs who work primarily on their phone/tablet it could be worth it.

  5. 1/5The "free trial" still demands you information before you even try it out.

You can't even look at the app until they set you up for close to $5/week. I'm not going to give my particulars to someone before I know if I'm remotely interested. They could have set it up so you could save files w/o a license. That would allow people to kick the tires w/o providing a way to get around it. This is a iOS app. I'm not sure editing, even viewing xml/html makes sense.
