I love this app and all the details it holds. The calendar is awesome and I like that it has the expenses on it too. I would like for the calendar to have different colors for categories so when you see the month you can tell which days have events and which days have expenses (and other colors coded to other categories like school calendar days). Even without the other parent being involved with the app it’s still very handy to have everything kept in one place. Tracking expenses helps with budgeting as well as showing where money is being spent on your child(ren). I have a separate budgeting app for my everyday bills and spending but it would be nice to have some of the features this app has for expenses (pie charts, expenses broken down by type, etc). If this maker doesn’t already have a budgeting app they should make one. I definitely recommend this app to any parent whether single parent doing it on their own, parents still together, or separate parents who are coparenting. This app is remarkable. I am using it for both of my boys and their fathers a I love that more than one “circle” can be formed in the app. My request to the developer is to find a way for the view for both parents to be similar. My coparent does not see anything the way I do.

4/5Great app, but it only can…
…work so well when just one side actually uses it 😅 We haven’t used this app in a few years and only stopped because the toxic, controlling aspect of my husbands ex wife’s life was illuminated and after repairing co-parenting relationships, we no longer needed to use this app. I’m genuinely surprised at how many bad reviews there are for this app, and so many are for very minor things or because it wasn’t meeting a very specific single need of one person. It just seems like so many are kinda being unfair. Keep in mind- this is a FREE app and I challenge you to find another coparenting app that offers as many features as AppClose that are as detailed as these are. I tried and none came close. A couple of my favorite features are that you can add step parents and other caregivers, also that you can tell when and if a message has been read… oh! And nothing can be deleted or edited. I can definitely see how the payment feature could be super beneficial to some families as well, like to have it in actually built into the app. As I said before though, this app and others like it can only be beneficial if both sides of the family are willing to utilize it. But even if not, if you attempt to use it with the other parent in the best interest of your kid(s) and they refuse repeatedly and ignore other attempts at communicating… at minimum, it can act as part of your evidence of failed attempts to communicate and organize things for the kids if you need it for a future court date. All in all, I think AppClose is a pretty solid and reliable coparenting app and is the BEST option of those that are free for sure!

2/5AppClose hides that they have financial transaction limits
I am updating my review to state emphatically that AppClose Does not disclose that it has financial limits for transactions in their coparenting reimbursement tools. They are incredibly difficult to use, and if you need to transact a significant amount of money to your coparent, you need to use a different app because this one will limit you. Support response has been ghosting me for the last month on my inquiries and requests to increase the transaction limit. This app is good for communication logging and that is all. Been using AppClose for a couple of years for communication and it works well for that. The calendar is extremely buggy and not intuitive. Worst of all is the ipayou feature! They don’t mention the financial transfer limits but they imposed a $500 limit for the first 90 days and no details of whether or how to increase the limit. I have ongoing transfers to make for two children and this doesn’t even come close to the amount I have to pay for medical bills and extracurricular activities. The financial cap makes this worthless for financial transactions. Unless you are only going to use the app for communications, definitely look at other apps until they fix the calendar and financial pieces.

1/5Garbage Trash App, go a Paid One
For all prospective individuals using this app be aware intuitive features and functions are anything but that. Presently to even utilize the integrated ipayou® feature of the app, which for full transparency shifts in 6-months from Free to $2.50/transaction fee, BOTH the co-parents must have Verified accounts. While that might not seem to be too big of a deal, well that’s still inconvenient towards BOTH parties who let’s face it by the mere fact they are using this app means civil discourse and dialogue is already difficult, means it’s just another trifling and unnecessary extra step. The website/support page article is so freaking outdated like January 19, 2020? Seriously? Notifications indicate that BOTH participants must have verified accounts and before you even think you’re taking the moral high ground they give you an unreasonably low daily send limit of $100 when for instance you want to send your child an advanced birthday gift or assist in party supplies, out the window in today’s inflationary economy. So to wrap it up, please update the support instructions for ipayou® verification on BOTH ends because the only way to do so is to “fake” send money on both sides and that can be aggravating towards the already alienated party(ies). And also raise the freaking limit of $100 send to something more reasonable like $1000. Dear God, some of use actually want our kids to have something beyond ramen noodles to play with or eat on their birthday.

2/5I like the looks but....
I like some things (that you can select certain kids for events, the way the calendar looks, options for viewing calendar), but the calendar is annoying. What’s the point of the calendar importing my iPhone calendar (where I already have the event I need entered) if I can’t just duplicate the existing event to share it or just plain share it? This app makes you create the event again in the app in order to share it even though the event you may want to share has been created on another calendar and has been imported to this app, and is sitting there staring at you while you’re in the app. Nope create the event here AGAIN just to share. And I might be able to deal with this, but when I want to enter events such as my kids camps or sports practices, I can’t duplicate an event on an additional day. You have to re-enter the information day by day. For example, I tried entering my daughter’s tennis camp. This event is the same thing, same time four days in a row, but I have to re-enter all the information for every single day. If this app would at least duplicate events on separate days I would use it. I ONLY need an easy calendar to share kids event & trips with my ex, & this is just too much for me to want to do.

It's court ordered to use but will not let you use any features without paying for a subscription. The pricing is high if you only need it for a few things. You either pay monthly one price or yearly one price. No other options. I'd look for other options before you ask to have a court ordered app in your final paperwork. Wouldn't recommend.

Non-existent support creating legal problems. They will not reply to emails to both addresses provided. They do not reply to phone calls or to messages left. I'm stuck but you don't have to be - use a different app if you desire customer service of any kind.

          "body": "I love this app and all the details it holds. The calendar is awesome and I like that it has the expenses on it too. I would like for the calendar to have different colors for categories so when you see the month you can tell which days have events and which days have expenses (and other colors coded to other categories like school calendar days). Even without the other parent being involved with the app it’s still very handy to have everything kept in one place. Tracking expenses helps with budgeting as well as showing where money is being spent on your child(ren). I have a separate budgeting app for my everyday bills and spending but it would be nice to have some of the features this app has for expenses (pie charts, expenses broken down by type, etc). If this maker doesn’t already have a budgeting app they should make one. I definitely recommend this app to any parent whether single parent doing it on their own, parents still together, or separate parents who are coparenting. This app is remarkable. I am using it for both of my boys and their fathers a I love that more than one “circle” can be formed in the app. My request to the developer is to find a way for the view for both parents to be similar. My coparent does not see anything the way I do.",

          "body": "…work so well when just one side actually uses it 😅 We haven’t used this app in a few years and only stopped because the toxic, controlling aspect of my husbands ex wife’s life was illuminated and after repairing co-parenting relationships, we no longer needed to use this app. I’m genuinely surprised at how many bad reviews there are for this app, and so many are for very minor things or because it wasn’t meeting a very specific single need of one person. It just seems like so many are kinda being unfair. Keep in mind- this is a FREE app and I challenge you to find another coparenting app that offers as many features as AppClose that are as detailed as these are. I tried and none came close. A couple of my favorite features are that you can add step parents and other caregivers, also that you can tell when and if a message has been read… oh! And nothing can be deleted or edited. I can definitely see how the payment feature could be super beneficial to some families as well, like to have it in actually built into the app. As I said before though, this app and others like it can only be beneficial if both sides of the family are willing to utilize it. But even if not, if you attempt to use it with the other parent in the best interest of your kid(s) and they refuse repeatedly and ignore other attempts at communicating… at minimum, it can act as part of your evidence of failed attempts to communicate and organize things for the kids if you need it for a future court date. All in all, I think AppClose is a pretty solid and reliable coparenting app and is the BEST option of those that are free for sure!",

          "body": "I am updating my review to state emphatically that AppClose Does not disclose that it has financial limits for transactions in their coparenting reimbursement tools. They are incredibly difficult to use, and if you need to transact a significant amount of money to your coparent, you need to use a different app because this one will limit you. Support response has been ghosting me for the last month on my inquiries and requests to increase the transaction limit. This app is good for communication logging and that is all. Been using AppClose for a couple of years for communication and it works well for that. The calendar is extremely buggy and not intuitive. Worst of all is the ipayou feature! They don’t mention the financial transfer limits but they imposed a $500 limit for the first 90 days and no details of whether or how to increase the limit. I have ongoing transfers to make for two children and this doesn’t even come close to the amount I have to pay for medical bills and extracurricular activities. The financial cap makes this worthless for financial transactions. Unless you are only going to use the app for communications, definitely look at other apps until they fix the calendar and financial pieces.",

While that might not seem to be too big of a deal, well that’s still inconvenient towards BOTH parties who let’s face it by the mere fact they are using this app means civil discourse and dialogue is already difficult, means it’s just another trifling and unnecessary extra step. The website/support page article is so freaking outdated like January 19, 2020? Seriously? Notifications indicate that BOTH participants must have verified accounts and before you even think you’re taking the moral high ground they give you an unreasonably low daily send limit of $100 when for instance you want to send your child an advanced birthday gift or assist in party supplies, out the window in today’s inflationary economy. So to wrap it up, please update the support instructions for ipayou® verification on BOTH ends because the only way to do so is to “fake” send money on both sides and that can be aggravating towards the already alienated party(ies). And also raise the freaking limit of $100 send to something more reasonable like $1000. Dear God, some of use actually want our kids to have something beyond ramen noodles to play with or eat on their birthday.",

          "body": "I like some things (that you can select certain kids for events, the way the calendar looks, options for viewing calendar), but the calendar is annoying. What’s the point of the calendar importing my iPhone calendar (where I already have the event I need entered) if I can’t just duplicate the existing event to share it or just plain share it? This app makes you create the event again in the app in order to share it even though the event you may want to share has been created on another calendar and has been imported to this app, and is sitting there staring at you while you’re in the app. Nope create the event here AGAIN just to share. And I might be able to deal with this, but when I want to enter events such as my kids camps or sports practices, I can’t duplicate an event on an additional day. You have to re-enter the information day by day. For example, I tried entering my daughter’s tennis camp. This event is the same thing, same time four days in a row, but I have to re-enter all the information for every single day. If this app would at least duplicate events on separate days I would use it. I ONLY need an easy calendar to share kids event & trips with my ex, & this is just too much for me to want to do.",
